14/03/2025: Great place for a quick bite. Savage sausage. We shared the Hog man and the Cork Boi and both sided with the latter because of the crispy onion and Ballymaloe Relish. Nom nom. But above the food, a homeless man in front of us in the queue asked for a sausage. The server said he would throw it in a roll for him to which his eyes lit up. The server then gave it to him his food free of charge. It's random acts of kindness that make a difference in the world and I wish all the best to O'Flynns and that gentleman. We'll be back.

04/03/2025: Fui a almorzar aquí. Fui por la caja de salchichas. Es de primera clase. Bien cocinado y abundante. Había poco o ningún tiempo de espera. El personal era genial también y ofreció buenos consejos. Definitivamente volveré aquí cuando esté en corcho de nuevo.

14/09/2024: Some restaurants serve good food and others have great decor or good service. But the Pier Cafe is blessed with all tree bound together by an amazing ambiance. We had a wonderful dining experience here with great food and attentive service. There's such a buzz here, it's great. Sarah, front of house, expertly makes the restaurant run like clockwork and is so personable. We had the prawn Dahl and duck salad for starters followed by entrecôte steak and beef ribs. Faultless. It's really great value for money and a most memorable experience.

31/01/2025: This place is just awful. The decor is tired and scruffy. Horrible dirty curtain you have to walk through to get in. Awful and very odd seating arrangements at the back of restaurant. Sloppy and untidy with store room doors left open to see all their mess. Neither a pub nor a restaurant. Food was poor. Glass I was drinking from was dirty. With a salty tasting residue. A complete waste of a prime location.

12/09/2024: Very friendly attentive staff. Unfortunately, the food was awful. I had tomato soup and it was like something out of a can. This was accompanied by 2 tiny bits of dry bread. My friend had a pizza and was not good. Way too overpriced. Toilets were not clean.

From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine desire to make our special day perfect. A special shoutout to Louise, who was an absolute gem. Her dedication, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate our needs were truly exceptional. She made the entire planning process stress-free and enjoyable. Nicola Duggan was also incredibly helpful and supportive, always going the extra mile to ensure everything ran smoothly. The hotel itself is breathtaking. The stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Kenmare River are simply awe-inspiring. The elegant decor and cozy ambiance created the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Our guests were equally impressed, with many commenting on the beauty of the venue and the exceptional service they received. I chose to stay in the Boathouse the night before the wedding, and it was the ideal place to relax and prepare for the big day. The tranquil setting and luxurious accommodations provided the perfect escape. In summary, our wedding at Sneem Hotel was an unforgettable experience. The team's dedication, the hotel's beauty, and the overall atmosphere made it a truly special day. We would highly recommend Sneem Hotel to anyone looking for a magical wedding venue.

11/11/2024: A lovely surprise Under stated and such a simple place. It’s not grand , but the welcome is warming. A bar with some simple food. Deep fried Scallops !!, A cold Fish platter , Smoked Salmon ,Poached. Salmon , Crab Meat and a hand full of mussels ,Plus a dip and Wheaten Bread with a Salad Garnish. Refreshing and simple . Bowls of Mussels in a lovely stock. Definitely , different ,and they do accommodation .

15/04/2025: Gallery Cafe is such a beautiful sun light cafe in the town square. I was visiting the town from Australia and came back a 2nd time because the service is so lovely and kind, they had great coffee and GF baked goods in the counter. Lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee or catch up with some friends.

08/04/2025: This was our first visit here after a recommendation from a friend. Super friendly owner and staff. We were in the café on a Tuesday afternoon and it was plenty busy. Obviously a popular spot. The meal was lovely. We had the Gallery ham and cheese melt, seafood chowder, fish fingers sandwich and chips. This was a pleasant experience and I would recommend it to anyone in the area to visit.

25/03/2025: Came with friends for breakfast and I know it could be annoying to get customers with lots of bags (we just came back from a trip) but the place was empty so plenty of room and it shouldn’t have been a problem, anyway the waiter was really cocky both when we asked for a table (nobody in reception and we waited for it but since nobody came in we had to ask at the bar) and specially when he took our order Food and price were ok and at least the rest of the staff, the people who brought our food, were all super nice. However I was shocked when I went to the bathroom and realised there’s a camera above the urinals and, not only that, one of the toilets was out of place (attaching photo) like literally sideways in the cubicle, unbelievable. We’ll never be back in any Hyde bar or hotel

17/03/2025: Absolutely stunning location. Food is a tad expensive but I think well worth it. They’ve a great selection of cocktails aswell. I would definitely say if you want to splash the cash The Hyde is definitely worth it. Staff are lovely aswell 🫶
