20/09/2024: Wow! Wow! Wow! We were in Kenmare to celebrate our daughter-in-law’s birthday. We came in without a reservation and they were super accommodating. I had the duck egg roll which was a starter special. The chef made it into a main and our waiter suggested the au gratin potatoes as a side. The duck egg rolls were served halved on a cabbage, bean sprouted peanut salad with a sweet chili dressing. The au gratin potatoes were done with cream that was steeped with rosemary. Absolutely incredible. I would eat it 7 days a week. My husband, son and daughter-in-law had the roast chicken special which they devoured. Gastropub food at its finest!
16/09/2024: We were offered the special - prawns. They arrived and were so leathery and over cooked they were inedible. We returned them and ordered a replacement meal, ribs which were very sweet, but tender. We had expected some recognition by way of one drink off the bill, but this did not occur. Disappointing.

28/10/2024: We were visiting Ireland for our 25th anniversary and stayed in Limerick for just one night as we traveled all over the country. My husband found recommendations for Freddy's on Google, so we popped in, not realizing we needed reservations. The hostess tried to squeeze us in but they were all booked up, so we asked her for a recommendation and she suggested the Spit Jack just a few blocks away and we ended up having the BEST meal if our trip! So I wanted to say Thank you!!! Although we didn't get to try out your wonderful sounding menu, we were very grateful for you trying to squeeze us in and for your suggestion of a wonderful place for dinner!
24/10/2024: Had a great family meal 6 of us. Everyone loved the food. The service was perfect. We were able to ask for hake with no salt or oil or butter and veg with no butter. Vegan food was so tasty, and the dessert was amazing. I have been here years ago and it's still a top top restaurant. Everyone was very happy we chose this place.

27/10/2024: Lovely food and friendly staff. We booked here and stopped in on our way to a football match. There was a nice, cosy atmosphere with the fire being lit. We had mains, desserts and a few drinks, everything was really tasty and reasonably priced! We would definitely return and recommend it here.

02/11/2024: This was a pleasant surprise - situated above a village pub this is a little gem on the outskirts of Dublin. The franks hot sauce tenders were unreal; tasty and juicy. The burgers were huge, fresh and full of flavour with lovely crispy fries. There is a bit of a wait as all cooked fresh but well worth it. We entered through the bar and greeted with a very unfriendly barman who sent us back outside as opposed to letting us go up the internal stairs.
Overall all superb food and will return!

28/10/2024: The setting is really nice, service good, starter (scotch egg) delicious, dessert delicious,but €42 for a steak no better than one I'd pick up in lidl is an absolute scam. Its on me for not trusting my usual instinct which is to not get steak out (especially when it comes covered in pepper sauce - good steak shouldnt need it) but the place has a good reputation so I expected great things, especially at that price. It wasnt bad, a bit overdone but it was ok, but it felt like charging that is taking advantage of their good reputation. Spoiled a nice experience otherwise
26/10/2024: Party came down with food poisoning and there was zero flexibility with cancellations. I guess you want people to show up vomiting in your restaurants.

27/10/2024: SHITTY EXPERIENCE, 1st of all. There was PEE stains on my sheets. 2nd the " cleaners " STOLE OUR CLOTHES " which is outrageous!! And there was VOMIT in the hotel room toilet. Hair in my food. Just outrageous EXPERIENCE never going again!.
