The first and possibly best scones this year in Ireland. And the café was really cute and lovely.

Lovely quiet very well kept cafe. Nice steady trade and great food. Sirloin steak, mushrooms onions pepper sauce with chips. Great value and nice cheap steak

Nice bistro with table service — you’re seated on arrival, which is always appreciated. There’s no pastry offering, so no option for a coffee and a croissant. I was recommended a scone; staff said they’re very good and I saw a few people having them, but they’re just not my thing. Coffee was fine — not outstanding, but perfectly drinkable. Scrambled eggs were a little too dry for my taste, though that’s personal preference. The brown bread was absolutely gorgeous — I was told it’s homemade, and it really shows. Easily the standout. The decor is very nice: elegant, inviting, with lovely stained glass on the front door. Toilets are small and the toilet paper felt a bit cheap, which slightly breaks the otherwise polished feel. Service was very friendly and attentive throughout. Overall, a pleasant place with some real positives, especially the bread, but I’m not sure it’s somewhere I’d go out of my way to return to.
