My first game of golf in the Republic of Ireland. Couldn't have picked a bettet course. Absolutely stunning, not a bad hole on the course. From checking in at the pro shop to having refreshments afterwards it was a great experience. The company was also fantastic. I thoroughly recommend a game at Thurles.

Great golf course. Played many times. Restaurant has really improved. Attended a family celebration for a confirmation. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent Seafood Chowder and Pork steak for me. Vol au vents and stuffed chicken also ordered. Food was excellent Seafood Chowder, room was private for 30 of us and excellent location. Would definitely recommend. Have had the breakfast there a few times- delicious. Worth calling in even if you are not golfing!!

Ballymaloe House

17/05/2026: We had an amazing experience here! We spent 3 nights at Ballymaloe and loved every minute. It is an absolutely stunning hotel in the peaceful Irish countryside. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, had heated floors and a heated towel rack, and the comfiest bed! Our room even had a small patio overlooking the gardens. Service was great as well. The morning breakfast was absolutely delicious and the afternoon tea and cake was a nice way to spend an afternoon. We had the 5 course dinner on property one night- which was also delicious. The employees are all so kind and helpful. 10/10 would recommend Ballymaloe to anyone! And would love to come back one day!

13/09/2026: Great family run business and polite staff and great food and handy little shop to pick up shopping and a very large car park it's conviently situated in the Castle Connor on the Ballina to Sligo Road area,they cater for all occasions all year round 👍
30/08/2026: Beautiful food, very friendly and accommodating staff, and great atmosphere, Mark & Majella always so welcoming and generous of their time, nothing is ever a problem.
