21/12/2024: First time here and I must say it was excellent! We’ll definitely go back again. Lovely food, we’re stuffed after and the ambience is very very good! Staff were very accommodating too. Highly recommended!

30/11/2024: This is a great restaurant, beautifully decorated, staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. Catered for coeliac and all courses were well presented. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

11/11/2024: What can I say the most amazing meal Sunday lunch I’ve ever had. Have eaten here for dinner a few times always fantastic , Staff are always so attentive and friendly. But the Sunday lunch is on another level 3 courses for €42 with such amazing choice something for everyone we were spoilt for choice. The restaurant was at full capacity but calm and efficient staff made it so relaxed. The fabulous fire so cozy and just adds to the lovely atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back hopefully before Christmas if we’re lucky it’s not booked out. Can’t recommend highly enough . Hats off

08/10/2024: Amazing experience from start to finish. Loved the bar area where you sit before you go to your table. Food was unbelievable. Never had food so tasty and looked fantastic. Staff had a great knowledge of the menu and wine available. Cant wait to go back.

23/12/2024: Called in on the way back from Clonmel to North Cork for a quick bite after Christmas shopping. Service could not have been quicker or more friendly given they were very busy. Great place for a bite for food

23/12/2024: My husband and I went for lunch to Barne lodge. The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was a lot of choice on the menu and on the day we went they had a massive selection of specials- roast beef, bacon & cabbage, Cajun chicken, and Turkey & Ham! The food was delicious. There was a lovely relaxed and jovial atmosphere. I would def recommend. We had a starter and main course each and two drinks. Very well priced.

19/12/2024: Always lovely to either grab a coffee to go or sit in. Lovely fresh food and loads of choice Friendly and welcoming staff. Spotless too.

27/11/2024: I’ve come here a few times now, food is lovely albeit menu a little limited for lunch options Great place for a coeliac to go to, their brown bread and scones are delicious! Great range of desserts on show- the coffee cake was beautiful! Will be back!

23/11/2024: Honestly was excited to come here with my family. We are traveling on vacation and this was our final day in Ireland. We normally take recommendations from locals in the area and everyone was telling us to come here for dinner. It would have been nice to know that reservation was required. However we didn’t know that. When walking in the restaurant was empty minus maybe one couple. The host seemed really rude and unwelcoming after she found out we did not have a reservation. While I understand that reservations come first I have been to many places that have had to turn us away for the last minute table and theres a way to do it kindly. We asked if there was a way to out our name in incase there was a no show or cancellation which she informed us that there wouldn’t be because there is a 24 hour notice (which there still can be a cancellation, things happen all the time). She seemed reluctant to put our name down for a later time and I never received a single text or call about our reservation at 8:30 pm. When we left the pub next store an hour later it was still pretty empty. It honestly just felt like she didn’t want the American tourists there. Even the pub goers were surprised that this had happened and said it was unusual.

08/12/2024: Amazing gem in Rosscrea, we thought it was two weeks old and when one of the staff said they have been open for 2 years we were surprised The coffee shop is immaculate, wonderfully decorated for Christmas, more importantly the staff are super friendly, professional and helpful We had the two tartlet lunch and the Christmas combo special plus a cheeky cake as well. Service and presentation are top notch Owners took time to chat to us and you can see their passion, at the end Elsie (trust I got name right) took some nice photos of us to make the visit complete Well worth coming off the motorway if you are travelling Dublin to Limerick and beyond or vice versa, One great touch was the festive Christmas coffee cups Thank you

08/10/2024: We stopped in for a pint ( or two) before dinner and loved the pub atmosphere and the friendly service. The guest house we were staying in had recommended this pub and were spot on.

31/10/2024: Just dropped in as we passed thru Cahir. From our brief travels in Ireland, this was one of the few cafes we've visited that was similar to what one sees in Italy and that we're used to in Australia. Excellent

17/11/2024: Dog friendly, if you don't mind sitting with the smokers. I still don't understand why in the UK and Ireland that dogs are not allowed where food is being served. There is no law against it, so you are alienating a rather well off section of society
