Very expensive, ordered a fish and chip for two, you could count the chips on one hand, the fish was very small and not much. and the peas were mushy under the fish, very small. Unfortunately very disappointing.

Excellent and tasty chips.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Very poor fish of the day. Overly battered.
Everything else very good.

17/08/2025: A busy, busy place on a sunny weekend. Despite the place being full to the brim, service was prompt and friendly. We were fortunate to find a table outside owing to the good weather. A tasty fish and chips with the usual trimmings plus a curry sauce for one meal the other being breaded Brie with said and chips. Not a cheap meal but that seems to be the situation anywhere since Covid 19 struct. Some people I understood were pre-booking a table to ensure a place.
12/08/2025: Lovely food and great service. Big thanks to Áine for looking after us. Can’t wait to come back for a pint.

23/08/2025: Maybe we've been unlucky, but hey... The fish in the Seafood chowder was with bones. The chef said there were some issues with the supplier, but it's kind of a bad excuse. Ok, we were not charged for it, thank you very much. Then the chicken in the burger was raw. It clearly was pink inside and it had jelly-like texture. Well, the chef said it's supposed to be like that. Which I strongly disagree. It is actually dangerous to eat uncooked chicken. We had to pay for the Burger, obviously didn't eat it not too risk our health. Rather unpleasant. But it's an ok place to have a pint and chips

29/07/2025: Stopped off here on our way home, what a lovely experience. Immediately greeted by a friendly staff member, who put us at our ease straight away. Excellent choice on the menu. Food was delicious, and presented beautifully. Very fresh and full of natural ingredients and flavour.
A very pleasant experience
24/07/2025: What a gem of a restaurant, everything about this place was great, more importantly the food was top notch. We all got different meals and each said the same, delicious. Was very busy but in fairness they were well able to cope, didn’t impact the wait times or quality of food, there staff were fab and the standards here are high. Definitely be back.

04/09/2025: We stopped off for lunch at The Dreg. The service and the staff was excellent and the menu had a great selection with something to suit all our family. It was very relaxing and we all enjoyed our lunch. Would definitely recommend 👌

02/09/2025: Small neighborhood pub where we saw a lot of locals dine in for lunch. Lovely community vibe with very friendly staff. Great choice for those who want an anti-tourist trap, authentic irish lunch spot. Great pints and the open beef sandwich was tasty with very soft meat.

24/08/2025: Popped in for a Carmel cappuccino, was told they didn’t do syrups but offered vanilla sugar. Very nice coffee I will say and the staff were friendly. Looked like a nice cake selection but didn’t try any of them.

01/09/2025: We only drank two small beers. It had just opened at 5 PM. It already had a large clientele, especially locals. The atmosphere was that of a true Irish pub, with soft lighting and a wealth of memorabilia, plaques, and banners. There's also a small outdoor area at the back, but with a covered area for smokers.
