The Granary in Thurles

service was amazing and the food was honestly so good, fresh, hot and full of flavour. I’m genuinely craving the food again already! 😂 I also really loved the vibe and layout of the place. It was cosy, while still being really spacious which created such a lovely atmosphere. I would 100% recommend The Granary Bar to anyone looking for great food, amazing service and a lovely atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

We had a lovely soup with amazing brown bread. Coffee came with jome made biscuit that was buttery but light as a Feather, totally lush!!! Service was quick and very friendly. Lovely atmosphere between age, originality and modern clean. Try it!! Prices were good too.

I've never been to this restaurant before, but it definitely blessed my taste buds!! I ordered the Penne Arrabbiata, and it might've been the best thing I've had in a while. The sauce was incredible and the bacon was perfectly cooked. The meal was very filling. The staff regularly checked in on our table and was friendly. Overall I was really satisfied with my visit🫰

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Granary Bar & Kitchen, and even though we were their very first wedding, the entire experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From day one, Michael, Grainne, and Ian went above and beyond to make sure our vision came to life. They were incredibly helpful, patient, and supportive throughout the whole planning process. Absolutely no detail was too small or too much trouble for them—they handled everything with such care, professionalism, and warmth that we felt completely supported from start to finish. The venue was stunning, but the hospitality and food truly stole the show. Weeks later, our guests are still raving about how incredible the food was! We could not recommend The Granary more highly. If you are looking for a unique venue with a team that will treat your special day like top priority, Michael, Grainne, and Ian are the absolute best in the business. Thank you all for making our wedding unforgettable!

The place is very pretty with excellent food

In an unmemorable part of Ireland, Granaray restores order and lets you experience reliable, solid flavors. 🏠 LOCATION | A sort of modern pub spread across several rooms. It feels like entering a newly built place, but it maintains that Irish aura while raising the bar a bit in terms of customer numbers (and costs). 🚶‍♂️ STAFF | Little interaction with the staff. Beyond the orderliness, they conveyed professionalism and a hint of irritation, but nothing a Guinness can't resolve. 👨‍🍳 CUISINE | Here we opted for the classic burger, which would be a serious mistake if you messed up. In fact, we landed on our feet, as it was made to perfection and came with the famous coleslaw (we could have done without it). 💶 BILL | The two of us spent about 30 euros each, not that far from what you'd pay in a typical Italian small-town burger joint, after all.

Food is to die for. Service could improve, but we were there at the same time as many bigger tables so delays were expected.

Absolutely fantastic. A really beautiful menu from starter to deserts. Top class food with the setting and service to match. Cocktails delicious. Will be returning again and again and again. Great experience. Highly recommend but go there hungry as the portions are generous and extremely tasty

The three of us went to Granary on our way back from Killarney to Dublin. Great location, the service was excellent: they recommended a local beer; the food was really great: burgers, fish and chips, fajitas. We had a table upstairs. Many locals were having dinner there with their children. We thought it was a great atmosphere. Downstairs was a bit more upscale. All in all, a wonderful evening for us and highly recommended.
