Shamrock in Cahir

Alot of places could learn from this place instead of trying to be different. As a bus driver who travels the country, this was one of the most tastiest, freshest, simple meals I had. So much food. So reasonably priced. Lovely lady behind counter. Id say she was the owner.

Had a fantastic, yet unexpected Sunday dinner in the shamrock lounge. The staff were excellent and even treated our friend who’s a huge 2 Johnnies fan to a signed photo.

Terrific food for the whole family. Sunday lunch was delicious. Great service and a classic atmosphere.

Found by chance, a very pleasant discovery. Generous portions with vegetables. All for 13 euros. Very friendly and smiling waitress. Quick service. I recommend it.

We had lunch at Shamrock Lounge after we visited Cahir Castle, we were immediately welcomed and chose from the well stocked, but carefully chosen lunch menu. The service was very quick and kind. We had the roast and the fried mushrooms, both very tasty. The roast was pretty traditional and hearty, like my grandma would make it. The interior is old-fashioned pub-like, charmingly old and it’s obviously an important part of the local community, the server knew every regular by name. The price was very fair and we’d love to come back anytime.
