Found by chance, a very pleasant discovery. Generous portions with vegetables. All for 13 euros. Very friendly and smiling waitress. Quick service. I recommend it.

We had lunch at Shamrock Lounge after we visited Cahir Castle, we were immediately welcomed and chose from the well stocked, but carefully chosen lunch menu. The service was very quick and kind. We had the roast and the fried mushrooms, both very tasty. The roast was pretty traditional and hearty, like my grandma would make it. The interior is old-fashioned pub-like, charmingly old and it’s obviously an important part of the local community, the server knew every regular by name. The price was very fair and we’d love to come back anytime.

We came for lunch here today. Surely the most reasonably priced dinners in all of Ireland? €13 for full roast dinner, lasagne, etc. We had sandwiches, I had the roast beef one in particular which was so simple but perfect. Portions are very generous. Such a lovely pub, real old Irish pub. Will be back again without question.

Old style pub food was prompt and very hot. Great value for money all main course came with chips as an extra at no extra charge main course 15euro and deserts 5.80. Food is lovely and portion are very good will go back

We had the dinner in the Shamrock today, best we’ve had in a long time at a very good price (bacon & cabbage, beef, roast chicken), full of locals eating there. We will be back.
