We have been able to eat here when back in Killaloe , every couple of years. Matt’s has been consistently great each time we come. Great meal, great venue, great service. Nice atmosphere- very relaxed.

Portions a little small but delicious. (Fish & chips) Staff extremely helpful. Shortage of high stools when others wanted to join our table.

Possibly the best fish I have had to date in Ireland, ever. Fresh fish cooked to perfection! Delicious!!!!! We recently went to a branch of this restaurant in Dublin and loved it so tried our local one!! The food was even better! Staff were fabulous and very efficient! We went on a Tuesday night so it was as expected a bit quiet! I had the mussels to start which were spot on, lovely sauce! Followed by the Cod, green beans and a cherry tomato 🍅, boiled new potatoes! It was so perfectly cooked 10/10. My wife had the scampi and said the were even better than the Dublin ones! I raved all evening!! No room for dessert. Pictures to follow! Great service from our Waiter, nice welcome from the Front of House Person. Starter of Mussels, absolutely gorgeous. My friend had Fish Cakes, he said were bland. Burger, not great. My partner had Scampi n Chips. He loved the chips, I disliked them as I felt they were mushy. He didn't comment on the Scampi. I needed a disabled toilet but couldn't find one. I found the chair he'll to sit on and I felt it was about to break. The food was ok, the staff lovely. I'd give it a Six out of Ten. I will be back, lunch is better there. I forgot to see what the Bill was, apologies.
