08/10/2026: I think its one of the best pubs in Europe. Great staff, creamy Guinness, best views great locals, and will stick in mind for a long time to come. Its what a pub is supposed to be please never change anything ..slainte
18/09/2026: Worth a visit if boating, lovely staff, and music was on a Tuesday night from 9pm

25/09/2026: Recommended by our hosts at Shannon Breeze we had evening meal. My wife had Penne she said it was very peppery and could not eat it. I ordered Chicken curry with naan bread and boiled rice, what I received was a vegetable curry with a few cubes (6) of chicken a half of pitta bread and boiled rice. Chicken curry ? Onions ,chopped Tomatoes, Potatoes diced, Marrow I think, Three quarters of the meal was veg.All I got from waitress was Sorry. But not her fault. Awful.

The Lakeside Hotel and Leisure Centre

24/08/2026: Disappointed with how my husband was treated by a member of staff in the bar. He was rudely spoken to when he went to order drinks. Truly saddened with the behaviour of this particle member of bar staff. The waitress that served us was wonderful but my husband did not enjoy the rest of his evening for our friends birthday because he was spoken to in such a rude way.
17/07/2026: Attended a wedding here. No management presence, ramshackle service, untrained staff. When you see staff using floor brushes to 'sweep' the bar counter top it's not a good sign. Food no better. It's in a beautiful location with a well attended garden and a great, comfortable space inside. Wouldn't take much for it to really shine and be worth the price tag.

12/09/2026: This place is a gem - don't miss out! Delicious food, including for one GF eater, we were a party of 6 adults so we did a fair job of sampling the menu and no one was disappointed. The service couldn't have been nicer (shout-out to Greg!) and we left replete and very happy! Highly recommend!
17/08/2026: Excellent Italian food . Cooked to perfection with fresh herbs . Cannoli for dessert was exceptional. Service was also excellent , friendly and efficient. Price was reflective of the quality of food . All said, an excellent meal . Second year visiting here on holiday.

11/06/2026: I lived in this town for a few months. These people were so kind and generous and made me feel at home every time I had to work late and needed an easy (but delicious and cheap) dinner. A real asset to a town full of rich boaties. Thank you Veronika!

19/08/2025: We had lunch in the his bar and found it average at best, we were upstairs over looking the bridge, the view was good but the seating was old, with damaged tember and very uncomfortable, this bar/restaurant would need to take advantage of their location and give the place a well needed makeover.
The staff were very friendly and the food was fresh.

23/03/2026: Food not good, waitress not good at her job, she took the order for food then went off without asking if I wanted a drink,
Food arrived waitress went off then I realised there was no salt of ketchup on the table, had to go look for the waitress to ask for salt etc, not very friendly,
