Flanagan's on the Lake in Ballina

Good food , lovely location right on the river bank.

Local pub overlooking the lake. Food was surprisingly delicious and many of the items can be made gluten free.

The food was spectacular. We had incredible calamari, so fresh and tender, perfectly cooked from fresh, not frozen. My steak was a beautifully tender and very tasty cut of meat. Fish was also super fresh, the chips were delicious and all the accompanying salads were fresh and vibrant, it just spoke of a kitchen and floor staff who were proud to be producing great quality fresh food. Desserts were also excellent- a chocolate fondant with a runny centre and a gorgeous yuzu and mango creme brûlée. We are just sorry we didn’t get to return for a second visit.

Very good food, large portions and cheaper than average in Ireland.

The bar and restaurant staff are outstanding. Friendly, funny, courteous. We ordered pizzas which were superb. Strongly recommend.

Incredibly delicious food, large portions, friendly waiters.

Excellent food. We arrived with a reservation as it was recommended to make reservation. Food was delicious, servers were friendly and helpful but simply too busy. Drinks arrived after food, no one had time to come back to ask if food was okay , nor to ask if we wanted more drinks, dessert or tea & coffee. Again server was super friendly but too busy. We were seated indoor but the external emergency exit was open to allow staff serve outdoor, it made the dining area uncomfortably cold. We asked if door could be closed but server explained she would close as soon as possible but this didn’t happen while we dined. I would visit again as the food was really good but I would not tolerate the same uncomfortable seating.

Absolutely Amazing 👏 Myself and my partner had dinner and desert on the friday the 13th and I can tell you there was no bad luck for us only all good , we had the most amazing time , from start to finish the staff were absolutely amazing ,making sure all our needs were met , I had the vegetarian curry and it was to die for. So yummy 😋 hubby had the burger which was also yummy but oh yes a big But th3 best was yet to come ,we got our deserts and by God I think we went to heaven for those moments of eating the most yummiest ,delicious chocolate fondant that I or anyone has ever tasted im sure of. So good my hubby had a second helping . If you want an amazing, top food and service I would highly recommend all the way 🥰🥰🥰

Now , The food was awesome!!! , great service !!!. everything's on the ball—we’ve been coming here for years, but last night we had best chocolate dessert in my life, fu.... outstanding! -next level, dessert, absolutely delicious! Cheers to the crazy (probably Italian) waiter. See you next time... keep it up, great work.....
