Excellent!!! Great place to relax! You can enjoy a beautiful view, eat delicious food and swim in a warm pool.

We had the most incredible stay at the Lakeside Hotel in Co. Clare — from start to finish, everything was just perfect ✨ The setting is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views that make it the ideal escape. The food was gorgeous — every meal felt like a treat — and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was so relaxing and welcoming. What really made our stay special, though, was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond, but a special mention has to go to Rong Rong at reception, who truly looked after us and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, ye are so lucky to have her to meet and greet your guests And Sean at breakfast kept everything running so smoothly — the buffet was fantastic and the service was spot on. It’s the little touches and genuine kindness that make a place unforgettable, and this hotel has it in abundance. Fantastic location and great food!

The staff are the hotel's greatest asset. All very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Lovely hotel - a mix of the old and the new. Has a popular leisure centre which is open to residents and locals. A very popular indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna. Nice bars and restaurant. Warm, spacious and comfortable bedrooms. For the best rooms, request a view of the lake. Delicious breakfast. One minor complaint is that there is only a handful of channels available on the TV. The hotel is accessed by a small boreen, not well signposted. But recommended.

The staff. The location. The facilities. All get 10 /10 from me. Will return again very soon.

Lovely location overlooking the Shannon River. Good staff. Food is fresh and tasty with a good variety of dishes to choose from. I eat here regularly and can certainly recommend it. Consistent. View from the newly renovated bar area is beautiful.

We stayed at the hotel for a wedding. Beautiful hotel. Staff were all so professional, helpful and even the younger staff have been tought that the customer comes first, a smile means alot, they are being paid to make the customers experience comes first. The food we got at the wedding and breakfast was was first class. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable spacious bed. We will call back for food and Would definitely recommend the hotel. But room windows could do with updating as could hear every noise from outside. Noise from room to room and corridor to room also. Set of ear plugs recommend for sleeping, not a big deal. When we checked in the room was roasting. I turned the radiator down to minium. Came back to the room hours later and room still roasting, it was like sleeping in a sauna all night. We got up early and had a lovely breakfast and were glad to get out of the sauna room. I would still recommend the hotel and would still return as it was lovely, but i would ask for radiator to be turned off.

Really nice hotel, really enjoyed it here. A very welcoming lady on reception was so friendly when we checked in and explained everything, I think her name was Margie. Another lovely staff member in the bar when we went for food, Faye, very helpful and attentive. Room was fabulous and very clean, I didn’t meet the housekeeping staff but they do an excellent job, we were in a waterfront room and the view was lovely. Overall had such a great stay, all the staff in the hotel were so nice, will definitely be back!

We first stayed at this hotel last year and were so impressed that returning this year was an easy decision. It’s rare to revisit somewhere and feel the same level of satisfaction but this hotel absolutely delivered again. Every single member of staff we encountered was warm, professional, and clearly committed to doing their job well. What stood out most was that many of the team were the same as last year. That consistency made the hotel feel even more comfortable and welcoming, almost familiar. Our room was spotless, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The coffee making station may be a little old style, but it had everything we needed. Housekeeping was thorough. The leisure facilities were very well maintained. The pool area was kept clean with visible, regular upkeep. The lifeguard was attentive, and the gym was surprisingly spacious and well equipped for a hotel. We also really enjoyed the sauna and steam room, and the addition of a cold plunge was a great touch. Breakfast was enjoyable for both adults and children, with friendly staff and plenty of choice. We especially appreciated that gluten free and vegetarian options were available. The same consideration applied to dinner — a vegetarian menu was available upon request, with a good variety of options. That flexibility makes a real difference for families with different dietary preferences. The hotel’s views are beautiful and walking around the surrounding area was one of the highlights of our stay. It genuinely felt peaceful and uplifting. Dining was very good overall, with a varied and tasty menu. On busier evenings there was a bit of a wait, but staff came over to explain the delay, which we appreciated. Clear communication goes a long way. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
