The best restaurants in Tipperary

14/08/2026: Really lovely hotel. The lady on the front desk was so kind and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable . I definitely would stay again.

01/07/2026: Formerly the town residence of the Butler family, the beautifully appointed Cahir House Hotel gives the visitor an inkling of living like the aristocracy. Between the house, the rooms, the function rooms, bar and gardens, there is plenty of space to host your function or to enjoy your short stay. Plenty of social life surrounding the hotel right in the middle of town. Adequate parking and an outdoor BBQ in the garden. As it is located next door to Cahir Castle, the River Suir and 2km walk to the Swiss Cottage (the Butler family's summer house), there's plenty for the visitor to explore and enjoy.

18/09/2026: We were visiting from Florida looking to grab a bite. Cinnamon Alley was a great choice! The food was delicious! The staff was friendly and very helpful.

18/09/2026: Exactly what we were looking for on our drive from Limerick to Kildare. The family found themselves a bit peckish in the car and didn’t want anything too heavy. Cinnamon Alley filled the void perfectly with great sandwiches and coffees for everyone without ruining the rest of the day’s meals. Service was attentive and genuine, music added atmosphere without intruding, and the value was fantastic. Only problem now is that I can’t rush my wife through shopping anymore as she won’t be looking to get home quick due to being hungry anymore =\

12/07/2026: Myself and my sister visited last week, I found the staff rude, when I went to order at the till there was about 4 behind the till not one of them made any effort to even make small talk to they’re customers or say hello. They were just chatting among themselves. Also my order was mixed up, this isn’t the first time this has happened, would not recommend here and won’t be visiting again.

11/09/2026: Extremely disappointing visit today. Been here and to the Limerick branches multiple times and to say the staff were extremely rude today is an understatement. I got charged €3.70 today for a babychino (a small paper cup of warm milk, not even with marshmallows!) which is the same price as an Americano. When I questioned the price (as I’ve been multiple times and usually get charged €2), the staff clearly were not happy. Trying to support local but when you’re treated like that, why would you bother.

07/03/2026: Befani is well located in the centre of Clonmel. We had an evening and breakfast which were both very and served by pleasant and attentive staff. The accommodation above the restaurant is comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a very pleasant stay.

06/10/2026: I always stop at the station where there is a shop... always fresh bread. GREAT place... I highly recommend it.

06/10/2026: Lots of facilities, great for a mid journey rest. During normal hours there is a wide variety of food. Toilets are ALLWAYS clean which is amazing. There’s a place to let your dog play! Can be nice to sit outside on heated benches when weather permits. Lots of local and friendly staff.

22/09/2026: The atmosphere and service was very pleasant but the food was incredibly overpriced and underwhelming two of us got the beef burger and stale chips that was 26 euro!! We both felt ill the next day also. I wouldn’t recommend for the price your paying.

11/08/2026: The venue was busy but parking was plentiful, we were seated without any delay in the lovely patio-like lounge in front. The server was really good and funny. The choice on the menu was very good. The food arrived quickly and was really tasty.

21/09/2026: We stopped in to this wonderful pub after a walk around Rock of Cashel and the abbey ruins. It was a very warm and humid September day so we ordered two pints of Guinness to feel better. As luck would have it, the Guinness distributors were in the pub for their monthly meeting so the pints were on them. The bartender/owner Joan was lovely…welcoming, warm and friendly. We so enjoyed chatting with her. It was so nice to relax and enjoy just being in beautiful Ireland with a few pints and friendly people. If you’re ever in the area, TJ Ryan pub is worth stopping in Cashel. We will DEFINITELY return on our next visit to this wonderful country.
