Cahir House Hotel in Cahir

Formerly the town residence of the Butler family, the beautifully appointed Cahir House Hotel gives the visitor an inkling of living like the aristocracy. Between the house, the rooms, the function rooms, bar and gardens, there is plenty of space to host your function or to enjoy your short stay. Plenty of social life surrounding the hotel right in the middle of town. Adequate parking and an outdoor BBQ in the garden. As it is located next door to Cahir Castle, the River Suir and 2km walk to the Swiss Cottage (the Butler family's summer house), there's plenty for the visitor to explore and enjoy.

Such a cute hotel. The staff is friendly, the rooms clean. Only complaint, the folder told us "drinking the tap water isn't recommended," but we didn't get complimentary water. It wasn't a big deal, we just walked to the grocery store. And of course, no AC, but we were provided with a fan and left the windows open. As an American, we forget how we value our AC. But all together, we enjoyed our stay, we are happy and had another great lodging while in Ireland. And the hotel is a short walk from Cahir Castle.

Nice place to stay in the middle of Cahir, a short walk from the castle and near the path to the Swiss Cottage. Very friendly staff, too.

Wonderful hotel especially when they went out to feed fuel protesters. Definitely going to stay here again. Irish people at their best 👌

Great hotel lovely staff and in a great location

Didn’t stay in the hotel but I’ve seen what these guys did for the lads in the fuel protest. They brought out plates of sandwiches and crates of water. Proper community spirit. Well done Cahir House Hotel. Legends.
