05/07/2025: Really nice gluten free cafe.. limited options, sandwiches, soup, Quiche.. gorgeous selection of treats, desserts and crumbles. The seating area is very poor, limited seating available. The Cafe lacks ambience, no atmosphere, the decor is bland. But as a coeliac it is a delightful experience. .

22/08/2025: Very disappointed I've just been there with my family for my daughters birthday ' drove from thurles because we heard it was fantastic. Noisey kitchen to my left zero privacy to my right ( people right on top of us ' I could hear every word ) and the toilets right behind me . I asked to be moved at the start and was told they were fully booked even tho I observed plenty of much comfortable private tables the whole 90 mins we where there ..more privacy and heat in burger king . Almost 40 euro for a fillet steak that's fine and standard ' I asked for it medium and it came out and the beef was still alive blood pumping out of it one bite and I was turned off . I was offered another one but at that point I could get the taste of raw meat out of my mouth..the staff where nice but a little sheepish to approach but where friendly all the same. I left starving and actually had to go to mcdonalds drive-tru on my way home now that's says it all . The chefs and staff really need to watch a few episodes of the bear . I hate doing this to anyone but a 1 out of 10 only because they where nice to my daughter or it would of been a 0/10 . I seriously doubt we will be back very very disappointed

30/08/2025: I had the pleasure of staying at the Lakeside Hotel, Killaloe this past weekend. I absolutely loved the experience — the hotel is beautifully set right on the banks of the River Shannon, offering stunning views not only of the majestic river itself but also of the striking Saint Flannan’s Cathedral, which truly stands out as a beacon of beauty. A special word of thanks goes to Helen Mooney, Rehman (the breakfast manager), Muireann, and Maya, whose warmth and attentiveness made my stay both memorable and welcoming. — G.B.

28/08/2025: Food was good as always but today, we encountered a zombie waitress tending to us and a few unfortunate guests. She was unbelievably lacking in hospitality, zero aptitude, basically perfunctory and obviously not interested in service of any sorts. We had to remind her of a few things we ordered. She got us the bill, yet did not come back to collect payment so we left cash on the table and she sent the other waiter after us while we were leaving, claiming we did not pay?! Maybe she is just a temp as Lakeside staff are usually good.

16/08/2025: A lovely place to eat and sleep. Excellent service, wonderful staff and great food. Excellent location for all tourist attractions.

11/08/2025: I’ll start with the good: Staff were lovely; I suspect it’s a good job to have in an obviously depressed area. The breakfast was nice. Now the ugly: Water from the taps isn’t potable. The hotel has a beer garden that is in full party mode until the early morn, and it’s right outside your hotel window…, JOY!!! The night we stayed, the fire alarm sounded in the room for about 30 seconds. No follow up from staff. Sleep ruined. Awful experience! Expensive! Flat out NOT worth the cost.

23/07/2025: We stopped here on our road trip around the Atlantic way coast. Just had a couple of drinks but came back the following evening to have a meal and hear some traditional Irish music from the live performers. The food was really good. I had the Guinness beef casserole and my wife the special lamb stew. Both dishes were excellent, and we finished by sharing the apple pie and ice cream. That was so good, great pastry and filling. The serving staff were all so friendly and the lady who seem to be in charge couldn’t have been more helpful by seating us where we could see the live music. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

20/07/2025: Visited with my husband for a two night break, The coachman’s is a small boutique style hotel on the main st in Kenmare, perfect location offering great Irish hospitality. Loved the beautiful appointed rooms, so quiet with great attention to detail. Owner run by Padraig, Siobhan & great staff definitely recommend staying if you’re going to Kenmare.

24/08/2025: Very poor experience in this place they forgot the Brie starter we ordered with the 4 main courses. They then tried to rush it out and it was raw freezing cold in the middle. They didn’t charge us for the starter obviously. Chips were the cheap flat frozen type and lacked flavour.

17/07/2025: The coffee was gorgeous. They had great choices, high protein, alternative milks, iced drinks. It was spotlessly clean and fresh. The staff were lovely. Well priced. They have lovely looking pastries. However, they had one gluten free option, unwrapped, underneath and in the same case as the regular pastries. Very susceptible to cross contamination. Pity because it looked exceptionally good.

21/08/2025: Really nice menu. Hard to choose because everything sounded nice. The service was great. Everyone was so friendly. Food when it came was excellent. The chips were really good. And the coconut mocha was delicious. Will definitely come back next time we're in Thurles.

20/08/2025: Very nice hotel, comfortable room, standard English breakfast. Shower solution is not the best, but that is typical for the whole of Ireland. I would like to highlight the cosmetics, they were super good quality!

13/08/2025: We recently stayed here for a small family reunion and it was a very nice weekend and we were treated very well. The staff were very helpful.

22/08/2025: Tasty fresh Pizzas on a nice thin base cooked by professionals . Great menu choices available. I chose the 12" option which was perfect for me without being a glutton. Eat in or take away. Nice ice cream too, thanks.

31/05/2025: Super cafe. Speedy friendly service. Passing through Thurles and stopped for a break. Coffee and pastries were superb. Highly recommend.
