01/08/2025: When you're in Ireland and feeling homesick or simply want to eat well, this Italian-run diner is the place for you. Excellent Italian food. I recommend it to everyone, especially fellow Irishmen craving Italian food.

18/08/2025: Very pleasant welcome in this family-run pastry shop and tea room. Excellent breakfast, the scones are delicious (plain, raisin, or rhubarb). The coffee tasted not great, but everything else was good.

The service, the welcome, the food, and the prices are all top-notch.

17/08/2025: Lovely spot. Food delicious. We had cabbage and bacon and crumbed chicken with peppercorn sauce for lunch and sherry trifle and apple crumble for dessert. Staff lovely. A lot of couples and families came in and out. A really lovely spot with tasty, reasonably priced food.

06/09/2025: Our favorite pub in Ballina — and not just for the Guinness. Brian Boru is a locals’ favorite with some of the best pub food we’ve had in Ireland. The seafood chowder with brown bread, bangers and mash, chicken bacon Caesar, and chicken vol-au-vent were all outstanding.
Michael, the owner, and Klyde, the barman, are extraordinarily welcoming (even by Irish standards), and the regulars are as interesting as they are interested in you. We visited often and can’t recommend it enough.

16/08/2025: Myself and my friends went to Galileo Clonmel for an 18th birthday and had the most fabulous experience.
Our lovely friendly waitress, Sarah, took such excellent care us, helping us with choosing our food by offering expert descriptions of each dish! She took great care in checking up on us and brought out my friend's birthday cake with a lovely warm happy birthday! The food was delicious and I highly recommend the prawns as a starter. We brought our own wine and were brought coolers without even having to ask, 10/10 experience in all!
