23/05/2026: Simply the best Sunday afternoon dinner in a long time. Delicious beef, lamb, hake and risotto dishes had by our group. Starter of blue cheese mac delish. Friendly service team. A model restaurant !

20/05/2026: Our family stayed here for 2 nights over Easter. From the minute we walked in the door and met Irene, they we so kind and professional. Rachel organised the easter egg hunt and fun activities. Rachel was so kind and friendly and could not do enough for us. My daughter is dairy free but nothing was a problem. Maebh and Aoife made sure all her needs were met. The food was outstanding The rooms were stunning and clean. What a fantastic hotel. We will be back.

18/02/2026: Call me biased, but this is authentically one of the best real Irish pubs in the country. I had been going to Phil Carrolls since the 90s before emigrating, so every time I come home, going for a pint a Phil's is a must. Truth be told, I do not drink Guinness outside of Ireland, simply because (rightly or wrongly) I believe it couldn't match a glass of the black stuff at home. 13/11/2025: The best coffee in Clonmel. 10/10 Not only is the coffee so delicious but the staff are absolutely amazing and super friendly. The atmosphere in the yard and the vibe this coffee spot brings to Clonmel is exceptional. Mouth watering treats to add with your coffee the only place to go for a coffee in Clonmel Thursday to Sunday.

30/12/2025: Arrived Sunday 27th December, no booking, super busy but Ming managed to seat us within 30 minutes. Food was amazing as per usual, service top class and price very competitive. We will be back soon.

03/05/2026: The best bar in Cahir for a bite to eat and pint of you fancy it. The staff are lovely and friendly and will look after customers quickly and efficiently. If you're in Cahir make sure to stop by the Galtee Inn!

26/10/2025: Just passing here Sunday 26/10/2025 to get a crepe lemon& sugar and sweet chilli chicken panini takeaway and realised when back to my location Thurles: there was no lemon and no sugar at all in it. I could admit lemon may be absorbed in the crepe but no trace of sugar at all on the plate, crepe or even sticky foil. Disappointed ☹️ as I was also billed for the crepe and lemon and sugar price☹️☹️ Reason given when I phoned: young staff…

24/04/2026: This is that perfect hole in the wall, cozy feel, best food around kinda place. I got the buttermilk chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The ladies who served us were very friendly and welcoming. This place def has charm and character. We would 100% go back again.

25/11/2025: Stopped in as a halfway point on a 4 hour journey for a stretch of the legs and a bite to eat. We were made feel welcome the minute we walked in. We didnt catch the barmaids name but she couldnt do enough for us. She noticed I was watching a game on my phone and put it straight on the tv for me,served up thr finest pint of guinness Ive had outside my local, told us where the bathrooms and smoking area were in case we needed them, and chatted in a friendly manner throughout. She's a credit to the place. A friendly "hello" from the local customers was also nice. Food was super tasty and came in hugely generous portions. Steak sandwich is beautiful! Pricing is fantastic value. Will return for sure
