Food and setting, would definitely be 5 stars, however it took 3 hours 10 minutes to get through their 3 course (it’s more like 6 courses really) dinner, which meant I had to take a star off. My wife and I also eat quickly so there were some 40 minute pauses. I took one extra star off because a couple beside us who arrived after us, we were finished our starters when theirs arrived… got their mains and deserts before us. Not sure was that a genuine mistake or some kind of favouritism but in a place with this level of service and number of severs, it left a slightly sour taste for us on the experience. I still overall recommend it for the quality of food and cooking

We stayed one night at Cashel Palace hotel and were lucky enough to have a chance to dine at The Bishop's Buttery. This fine dining experience was delicious and elegant, without being stuffy in the least. The pacing was relaxed and portion sizes were just right. I'm a bread guy and I'm still dreaming about the honey coated brioche with edible flowers served with two types of butter before the feast began. The amuse bouche cheese puffs and the panna cotta palate cleanser in a honeycomb shape were both fantastic. ✨

The tasting menu was divine. I can’t consume dairy and this usually means I’m relegated to a half-conceived meal while my spouse is living his best life. I was prepared. But, gladly I was completely wrong. The lactose free food was exceptional. The tomato salad with dairy-free sheep’s cheese was spot on. The artichoke amuse bouche was one of the best single bites I’ve ever had. I could keep going. Not a single miss on preparation, flavor, presentation or service. I am deeply appreciative for your attention to concept, quality and execution, especially for the dairy-free. Thank you for a very lovely and memorable evening.

Had an excellent experience at Bishops Buttery. The setting is absolutely beautiful, it really adds to the whole atmosphere and makes the visit feel special from the moment you arrive. The staff were incredibly attentive throughout, friendly without being overbearing, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Overall, a really enjoyable experience and somewhere I’d happily return to.

Grogan's Café and Ice Cream Parlour

28/07/2026: We come in often and love it so much. The staff are always so lovely. I’ve never had a nicer Oreo milkshake than I have here.
21/06/2026: I didn’t expect the food here to be as good as it was as it was just going to be a quick pitstop for us. I had the crepe with marshmallows (magic mallows) and the crepe was so fluffy which went well with the melted marshmallows. My dad had the chicken tikka wrap as a savoury dish and it the chicken was very tender and flavourful. I also enjoyed the soup that came with it. The service did take awhile as we had to queue for quite a bit before getting our orders as they make the crepe right after ordering meaning we had to wait until the person in front of us got their order. I also initially ordered the biscoff ice cream but was accidentally given the roast banana flavour. I personally didn’t mind though as it did taste really nice.
