13/04/2025: Celebrating my husband’s birthday and wanted something special- Dax delivered. In my opinion with a rustic charm of the basement interior- the white table cloths and the great service made for a fab experience.

22/03/2025: Mi esposa y yo visitamos Dax en marzo. Nos quedamos muy contentos con la comida que comenzó con pan y delicioso y delicado bouche de ratón. Para empezar, ella tenía el pollo pithivier y yo tenía foie gras con espárragos, que podría haber comido toda la noche! Para la alimentación, mi esposa había derretido - en - tge - la boca de venado y yo tenía vieiras y cerdo, que venía con una salsa maravillosamente rica. Gracias al personal por ptovidibg nos con más pan que nos ayudó a limpiar los platos! Gracias al personal que era muy agradable y amable.

30/03/2025: Now, this is a fish foodies paradise!The exterior doesn't give anything away to the culinary fish experience hidden within its walls. It has a great vista of the Wexford Quays.Food was top-notch!Needs to be experienced to be believed. Oh! I nearly forgot ... check out the bread..delious! Service was impeccable and friendly.

17/04/2025: We went to the Oarsman for a family dinner and I cannot recommend it more! The food was incredible, the staff were so helpful, kind and welcoming and as a result we came back again during this short trip for a second time! Thank you for a wonderful night

10/04/2025: This pub shud be on everyone's list as the place to eat. The decor and ambience is teriffic, but the exceptional service from Jidish was 5 star and made the visit. The food was second to none and I wish we lived close enough to eat here all the time. Without doubt the best meal I've had in a long long time.

25/03/2025: A Memorable Birthday Dinner – Highly Recommended! I recently took my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner, and from the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. We were warmly welcomed by Sabrina, whose friendly greeting made us feel right at home. Every staff member on the floor acknowledged us, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance was wonderful—elegant yet cozy, making it the perfect setting for a special occasion. Our waiters, Titouan and Kunal, were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every detail was just right. The food was simply outstanding—each dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The dessert was just as impressive, the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. A special thank you to all the staff who sang Happy Birthday to us—it was such a thoughtful touch and made the night even more special! It was truly a memorable dinner, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!

11/04/2025: Friendly staff, pleasant setting, great soup. I didn't like the beef, onion, red wine, and cheese sandwich, but that might be a matter of taste!

08/04/2025: Woodford is a Cork Pub, Restaurant, and Live Music Venue including a Jazz night. I went there with my friends and had drinks and dinner. The food was above average for "pub grub," but one thing we didn't like was the music (not live) blasting in the venue. My friends were visiting from America and unfortunately we weren't able to have much of a conversation. We had to yell to hear one another cutting out earlier than planned. I would not go back with a group of people for dinner. It would only be for drinks and to see a live performance.

10/03/2025: What a quaint, neat, little place to stop. We were near this wonderful little place to meet our tour guide but had come about an hour early so we wanted to go and enjoy a nice coffee while we waited. The ambiance in this little place is absolutely wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a small place, so keep that in mind, but they also have a very nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy a meal, a cup of coffee or a great glass of wine.

Chez Max et Hugo, nous avons dîné le samedi 8 mars 2025, jour de la victoire du XV de France en Irlande, et avons apprécié l'accueil, le service, l'équipe et surtout les plats français avec un verre de vin. 06/04/2025: We don't get to Kilkenny often, but when we do, we like to finish with Sunday lunch at Campagne. Today's lunch was simply spectacular - I think the best ever. Every dish was delightful. Firstly, very attractive on the eye, and secondly, simply delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. Two lovely glasses of wine. A lovely relaxed Sunday lunch. Very Highly Recommended.

20/03/2025: We toured castles all day and rolled into town around 8:40, hungry af. We also had been wanting to find something nice, as we all had birthdays recently. The magic of finding Rouge elevated our whole trip to another level. The food was incredible but the service was the most hospitable I have ever had. Arianna was so welcoming and didn’t rush us at all. She saw to it that we felt like we were VIP. We never wanted for anything, and her recommendations were amazing. Richie and Otto were cooking and they had extensive knowledge of the menu and showed such passion for the food. As Richie said “it’s a family and you’re part of it now”. We ordered the beef fillet and the the sirloin but also got the full course. Every single thing was perfect. The pulled beef, the cod balls, the sweet potato, the mushroom 🤤 But again, it was the service that made this experience worth coming back. As long as Arianna is there, I promise to return. Its ear her passion and love for the place are what made it worth writing this review. Thank you Ariana and Rouge! This is the number one place in Galway and will feed you late and make you feel at home!

13/03/2025: We love Rouge, it’s always busy and deserves to be. The menu is small, however what they do they do very well. The amuse bouche to start was plentiful and tasty, we both had fillet steak, perfectly cooked and cut like butter, the dauphinois potatoes rich in cream and garlic and the salad super fresh. We shared the most delicious crème caramel to finish, so light and so tasty. The staff are delightful, the lady in charge was lovely, she worked the restaurant seamlessly and efficiently. The only reason that we have taken one star off is because of a misunderstanding with a dietary requirement which meant that the amuse bouche could only be eaten by one of us. That said, the situation was very professionally dealt with. Highly recommended.

11/03/2025: Recently stopped in for a spot of brunch and couldn’t recommend enough! Staff were super friendly and service was so quick! French toast with bacon and maple syrup was great but my eyes were bigger than my belly and couldn’t finish it all, server kindly recommend that I order the smaller kids portion the next time I visit. Looking forward to another visit soon!

11/03/2025: We had the Signature Tasting Menu and it was the most delicious meal we have ever had. Every morsel was extraordinarily delicious. It was a most incredible experience. The service was impeccable too. We could not recommend this restaurant highly enough. Huge thanks to everyone involved. We will be back!

11/02/2025: My birthday. Spoiled rotten by a three course a la carte at the BB. No complaints though as the food and wine were first rate. Pigeon, venison, banana soufflé, crab, duck all top drawer. Only matched by the great service provided by Dianne and Antonio. Thank you. If you have a special occasion (or even if you don’t) then eat here.

25/03/2025: Had lunch here recently. Very good service. Food of course was very well made and so beautifully presented. Taste wise, very delicate and what you would expect in a restaurant of this calibre. To be honest, of all the restaurants offering this style of fine dining in Dublin, it's probably not my favourite but everything is very well done. Fresh bread is incredible but you probably won't leave the restaurant feeling very full so it might not be for everyone but if you like this style of food and atmosphere then you wouldn't be disappointed.
