Chez Max in Dublin

We stopped for a drink. The staff were lovely and helpful.

Chez Max is a very good little French restaurant that's a welcome sight when you arrive in unfamiliar territory, even though I enjoy Irish food! The service is truly excellent (in French) and the cuisine is refined. I recommend it for those who want to discover French cuisine in Dublin and for French people missing their favorite dishes.

We chose Chez Max as the place to celebrate my wife's birthday, and we are glad we did. We made reservations in advance, which I would recommend, as the restaurant was very busy. The atmosphere was lively and busy, but not so loud that you could not have a conversation with others at your table. There is a vast wine selection, and the staff are very knowledgeable about the options. The service throughout the evening was friendly and attentive, which made the celebration even more enjoyable. The food was excellent. The duck confit, escargot, and dessert options were especially outstanding. I will definitely visit Chez Max the next time I am in Dublin, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic French meal.

Chez max does it again. Excellent food and really great service. Starters were very good with French onion soup spot on, umami rich and delicious. Rabbit was also spot on leading me to wipe the plate clean. Mains of pork and confit duck did not disappoint. Pork was incredibly tender and the duck as expected fell from the bone. 2 mini desserts with coffee finished the evening on a high. Well done Chez Max. A highlight on the Dublin gastronomy offering

We went for the early bird dinner. Great value, good food and generous portions. Lively atmosphere and lovely staff with the charming Max overseeing it all. I would go again (highest praise anyone gets from me)!
