Dax in Dublin

I had no idea when I was planning our visit that we'd have *two* fantastic meals I felt worthy of at least one Michelin star! Serendipitous to say the least. Again, our meals were like eating fine art - every plate was gorgeous and it took everything we had not to inhale but slow down and savor the incredible flavors. The meal started with an amuse-bouche consisting of a sushi bite, one I can't remember, and a delicious gougère. For starters, my husband had the stuffed courgette flower surrounded by an unctuous seafood bisque - the bisque was utterly amazing. I had the goat cheese salad, a riot of color and taste. My husband had the John Dory nightly special for his main, while I had the most perfectly cooked lamb with an apricot compote. Desserts were a trio of chocolate confections (husband) and a scrumptious pavlova (me). And as a special surprise, they brought out a plate with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate, with a chocolate raspberry truffle and a mini lemon tart. The lemon flavor was to die for! Our server was very correct and knowledgeable, but the real delight was the assistant server - I wish I'd asked her name. She graciously allowed me to speak French with her (she's from Montpellier) and we had such a great time chatting I was afraid I'd get her in trouble for neglecting her other duties. She was the true gem of the place. The restaurant is cozy and intimate, and it was completely packed. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a table!

Wonderful experience in every way

Exquisite dining experience. Should be a Michelin starred restaurant. Everything from the amuse bouche to the dessert was sublime. The staff was efficient and friendly. Best meal of our trip.

Dinner at Dax on a recent mid-week evening was a real treat. The ambience, the beautiful space, everything is superb. The service was excellent, professional & charming. I cannot recommend the food highly enough. This place is truly special. Merci.

Had the most fabulous meal at Dax with 5 friends, everyone of us thought the menu was great. Outstanding service really did make our whole experience fabulous, will definitely definitely definitely return next time I'm in Dublin 👌

Desde el cálido y amable saludo de Olivier y el equipo hasta un increíble banquete de platos del increíblemente talentoso Graham Neville y su equipo, esta fue una experiencia excepcional. Cada plato fue bellamente presentado y creado con sabores únicos. Vieiras, salmón, venado, ternera, John Dory y postres de tatin, mousse y una soberbia tabla de queso todo apoyado por un Les Halos de Juniper Gigondas. El servicio era de primera clase y el entorno es cálido con un gran ambiente a pesar de estar en un sótano el equipo ha creado un hermoso lugar. Es una visita obligada en Dublín.

No podía faltar a este restaurante de ninguna manera. Estábamos celebrando un cumpleaños y a la llegada nos trajeron 2 copas de champán, buen toque. La masa agria es para morir tan grande y masticable. Tenía las vieiras para empezar, delicioso Seguido por el pez del día que era John Dory. El servicio era perfecto Sin duda recomendaría
