l'Gueuleton in Dublin

Actually, I’d still come here more for drinks than food, because the after dinner drink “gingerbread man” was one of the best I’ve had. The food on the other hand was OK, the Tartar was missing the egg - which in my world is a no go. The seafood main course was OK too, the sauce could’ve been a bit creamier, the potatoes could’ve been a bit more cooked, the fish could have been a bit more for the price - but that’s really if you want to criticize something.

l'Gueuleton is a real gem of a place. A very warm welcome into a room buzzing with energy. Staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Food was deliciously lick the plate clean,although the scallop starter was a tad on the small side. Great selection of wine and a cocktail for desert,what's not to love about this place !!

Overall not bad but I expected more for the price. The short rib croquettes were rich and flavourful and a generous portion for a starter. The Steak Frites had problems. The actual steak was great. I ordered it with Bearnaise it came with peppercorn. When I asked for the Bearnaise I ordered, they brought something which defiantly wasn't Bearnaise but appeared to mayonnaise with parsley. By this point I gave up hope of getting Bearnaise. The chips weren't fresh either. The Tarte au Citron had problems too. The meringue on top was a disaster. It was a soggy mess and not a nice stiff meringue. It's a shame about the mistakes because some of it was really good.

It was really nice ambience to sit and talk while having your dinner. Not a fan of french crusine but wanted to try it. Frice was too salty, my steak was okay not that bad.

During a cocktail with friends we had a great time. “Fly me to the moon” Excellent!!!!

A lovely restaurant, food is good though I would prefer a little more variety. A bit noisy and definitely more for the cocktail crowd after 22h30.

Very wacky decoration. Gorgeous cakes and good coffee. Really nice guy serving.

We’ve been here several times and it’s a nice place to have drinks at the bar, food in the restaurant part and even have a dance night after dinner.

Food is ok, but not worth the price they charge. We went for my partner birthday and they didn't had anything special for her, nit even a small dessert, they just offered to pit a candle on a dessert if we order. Even cheaper restaurants offer something nice for bd. Things there are overpriced, that's why people usually just go there for drinks

What a great time. A magnificent restaurant, impeccable service with great kindness. The food is excellent. Everything is perfect!!! The best restaurant in Dublin for me.
