18/08/2025: Dined here with my family a few weeks ago and it was absolutely fabulous! The food is clearly homemade, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Portions are generous and well worth the price. The staff are pleasant, friendly, and make you feel right at home. The restaurant itself is spotless and very clean, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

31/07/2025: We were coming through town in the evening and this spot is open later than others. We lucked out though, because the burger and chips here were top notch and reasonably priced. Really hit the spot after a long day on the motorcycle.

06/09/2025: I ate from here one evening. Not in the restaurant though…just had the chow mean and spring rolls…chow mein was tasty but I usually get it in a barbecue sauce from other places without having to say that in the order.
I’ll have to check that next time before ordering. Apart from that, the food is good. The spring rolls were nice although greasy to touch…the dip was nice. I mixed the remainder of it into the chow mein to enhance the flavour a bit. It was a bit bland on the sauce side….if it was in a barbecue sauce it would be much tastier! Pagar is cheaper than other restaurants around town so that’s a big plus. Prices in restaurants are going up but standard aren’t.

16/08/2025: Had dinner with my partner the food was excellent we had starter main course and dessert and some house wine all food was top class and the house wine was quite nice and good value all in all i will be definitely returning and would highly recommend

28/07/2025: We were a party of 8 and we ate here on a Sunday evening. The food was excellent but the beef dishes with Filet beef were fantastic and really worth the extra money. All round fantastic food and very nice staff. Highly recommended.

25/06/2025: Never in my 52 years on this planet have I ever experienced a genuine traditional Irish pub with fabulous musician for a trad session on Tuesday night. From the owner to the whiskey drinking bar man and musicians. Love you all. Had the time of my life.

23/08/2025: Stopped off for a quick bite to eat -- it's a busy place and the pace of service and table-turnover is brisk. While the menu is small, the toasted sandwiches were good and the tea is robust. What elevated the whole experience was that the staff happily adapted one of the acai bowls and made a custom fruit salad for a small child who was mid-strop. They were kind and they didn't have to be. That's worth a lot in my opinion.
01/07/2025: The coffee has really gone downhill, when I go in at times I feel like the staff don’t want to serve. They nearly huff at you. Also cannot believe they got rid of squid, the only place in town who aren’t giving back to customers and it counts when buying a coffee every day. When asked if they had squid they are all saying ‘no it’s broken’. I’m sure after a month you could get a new one for your customers.

13/07/2025: Staff have a lot to learn in terms of customer service .
Also cleanliness of the glasses and cutlery left alot to be desired. I picked up 5 glasses before I got one that was reasonable clean. I opted to drink from the bottle instead.
Cutlery was wet or had water marks on it and hadn't been polished.
These are basic things.
Food was OK but its just microwavable food.
