The best restaurants in Tipperary

26/02/2026: Honestly. We walked in. Lots of staff behind the counter. All looked terrified. One looked at us and looked away like we might bite. We just wanted a table for two. After a few minutes a girl came to seat us. She was friendly. We got a table and a water jug. I wish I'd taken a photo of the fish tank. There's two giant gold fish in the smallest filthiest tank. It's so sad. We were right next to it. Gold fish need space, they need a big tank. It's so cruel to keep them so confined. The staff couldn't make any eye contact, except the one girl. They genuinely looked as though they'd get in trouble for looking at customers. We left and didn't order so can't say anything about the food but what we saw coming out to other tables didn't look anything like it does on their online menu. Take from that what you will.

25/10/2025: Breakfast at Cusack’s bar – 24th October We visited Cusack’s for breakfast around 11:10 a.m. on the 24th of October. To start with the positives — the lady who took our order was absolutely lovely. She was attentive, pleasant, and genuinely made us feel welcome. She truly deserves appreciation for her service. The food did take a little while to arrive, which was completely understandable given how busy the place was. The disappointment began when the food was served. My poached egg looked fine on the outside but was actually hard-boiled inside, had an awful taste of just vinegar, and the avocado was dark and clearly past its best. The overall quality just wasn’t what we’ve come to expect from Cusack’s, which has always been one of our favourite breakfast spots in Ireland. What really surprised us, though, was what happened towards the end. While we were still having a conversation and my wife still had her cutlery in hand, one of the senior staff members came over and began clearing the plate mid-conversation. She did ask if it was okay to clear, but she was already holding the plates stacked up before we could even respond. It felt a bit abrupt and left us both a little uncomfortable. To be clear, the gentleman working alongside her was perfectly polite and not involved in this. We genuinely like this place and have always enjoyed coming here, which is why this visit was disappointing. Most of the team are excellent at what they do, but it would be great if everyone could be on the same page, because small things like this can unintentionally take away from the otherwise great work of a wonderful team.

17/10/2025: Old but nice hotel. Rooms are clean. Food is very good. Breakfast is from menu and very good. Dinner is also amazing.

07/03/2026: Despite no booking (early doors 6:30pm) I was able to have my favourite meal with speedy service happily given. 10/10 Thank You.

21/12/2025: Have been getting takeaways here most Sundays over the past 12 months. Food was always excellent until lately. The last 3 takeaways were dreadful. Food cold, batter soggy and orders incorrect ie boiled rice instead of fried rice but charged extra for the fried...will not be going back again. Very disappointed as we used to love their food.

08/08/2025: A great little place to go for a coffee or a cappuccino. My cappuccino was well presented served quickly. Staff was friendly. I definitely recommend this place if you want to go for a coffee, latte, or cappuccino.

01/08/2025: Nice & quiet place to enjoy very good coffee. It's order, pay and sit (serving) set up, wasn't offered free Wi-Fi, or membership discount cards, but was informed (in their reply) that both is available. Staff could do with lighting up a bit, maybe it wasn't best time & miss the decklared hard to find sweetness. It was my third visit, but I've sat down and meet with friend on business matters, first time. Will definitely go back when in Cashel. Highly recommended for good and reasonably priced coffees in peace.

04/10/2025: Outstanding, staff we excellent, good was really good and about 25% cheaper than Eddie Rockets which would be a similar style diner. Will go again

04/02/2026: I'm NOT just saying this it has to be one of the nicest also cleanest restaurants + takeaways in have been in, there food is fresh and really lovely please visit you wont be disappointed 👌👌 5star food

24/01/2026: Ordered kebab meal - meat was very tasty and chips were good - bread was lovely homemade in pizza oven which made it - was let down by the huge amount of sauce they put on it after I said on phone a little - shame really as the quality of the meat and bread spoke for itself without a mountain of sauce over it - I would definitely order from here again as I didn’t realise this place done kebabs - but will just make sure there only a small amount of sauce this time
