The best restaurants in Tipperary

20/03/2025: Asked for a black coffee and I was pleased that I could taste coffee and not scalded hot dark water like some other places might serve. It's great to sit in the window, like a living mannequin, and watch the town pass by doing their do.

02/06/2025: After a long day of travel, we picked this place at random for dinner as they didn't appear to be too busy. The interior is that of an authentic Irish bar. It almost felt like the restaurant part was an afterthought and the focus remained on the bar side. There were plenty of open tables, and the hostess told us to pick a seat wherever we wanted. She had to wipe down the table before we sat as it was sticky. Plenty of flies to go around as well. Our experience with the service was a bit disappointing. Our server told us at the beginning that she never works the evening shift, so she didn't know much about the menu and couldn't answer basic questions, so we had to wing our order. Each time she came back to the table, she mixed up something between my wife and I, like handing us the wrong food or drinks, which in the grand scheme of things was not a big deal but quickly got annoying after it happened every time. For dinner, my wife had the roasted chicken and I had the beef filet. Both were cooked well and had good flavor. For dessert, we tried to order 3 to go but between the server and cook, they could not figure out how to package one of the desserts. The server came back and asked us to change our order, which we did. She then returned with our original order. When it was time to leave, we had to wait at the til for an extended period while they found our server, and she entered our meal into the POS system for payment, during which she continued to struggle. Overall, the food was good, service and atmosphere were not up to par, would probably pass on a return visit.

15/05/2025: Our cruise ship tour stopped here after visiting the castle. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The owner was always present, trying to help people, pouring coffee, taking requests, etc. The food was quite good, and the service for 38 people was great, given that we all showed up at the same time. it is right around the corner from the castle in a very good location. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. It looks to have a very nice bar and plenty of seating, etc…

09/10/2024: Never disappoints, food is always delicious, reflected in the number of diners, I discovered this gorgeous place about six years ago and have been going regularly since, the food is always amazing and the quirkiness of the dining room is beautiful!!

26/03/2025: What can I say, Dawn, Marie and Paul are all one of a kind, cater to any need and accommodated the change in party size on such short notice to a big event, nothing was too big they couldn't do, I'd highly recommend and the good there isn't one of the 15 of us that didn't like it

19/11/2024: We are so glad Fuman Garden opened as a restaurant as it was little too far away from us to have as a takeaway. We ate here last Sunday and the food was delicious and so fresh. I really could not recommend enough. The new restaurant is modern and spotlessly clean. We had a wonderful dining experience and we will definitely be back.

26/01/2025: We had a lovely visit, our first and we will definitely be back. We enjoyed watching the rugby match with drinks and a lovely surprise the owner brought us out sandwiches (which you never see anymore!!!) Fab warm fire and nice locals.. Looking forward to our next visit 👌

15/02/2025: Had a few afternoon drinks and a few of us had lunch nice friendly staff even tough we were a bit loud at times with our laughing but will go back again in November when we are in the area again you have been warned in advance 🤣.

09/02/2025: Just been here staff nice although probably worst beef dinner by far i had ever had 🤮! Straight from microwave a tint over gravy beef and Yorkshire burnt to a crisp beef like a foot ball definitely rubbish for me🤢👎🏼

02/10/2024: I ordered a cake for my mother's birthday. The lady who served me was very helpful. The cake was excellent, it was exactly what I ordered. It looked and tasted great. I'm very happy with the service.

02/06/2025: Had a great one night stay in Mulcahy's recently. We were in Clonmel for day two of a wedding, and they were able to accommodate our party of 8 with no hassle. Sharon was responsive to my queries and re-arrangements and even added breakfast to our booking for very little extra! We also got a call not two hours after checkout to let us know we'd left an important item behind, and they were more than willing to post it if it couldn't be collected. Location was central, breakfast service was great & rooms were perfect for our short stay.

29/05/2025: This place is a kip. The burger was horrible, pure dry altogether. The staff have little time for foreigners, which is fair enough these days. The Guinness is grand without being great.

08/05/2025: Galileo offers a top quality dining experience. I have never been disappointed! Beautiful Italian cuisine! My partner always orders the steak here & loves it! The staff are so very nice and friendly. A++
