The best restaurants in Tipperary

06/03/2025: They give plenty of butter for my scone which is very unusual. The food was wonderful and so was the service!!!

15/12/2024: I was lured into this restaurant by the menu posted outside. I was very much looking forward to trying the Irish Lamb Stew. However, much to my surprise and disappointment, upon being seated I was presented with a different menu - one which had significantly fewer items on it and specifically did not have Irish Lamb Stew. Inquiring about it, I was told they "did not have it on" that day. I pointed out they had a menu outside advertising it. They didn't care and just reiterated they didn't have it on. This was frustrating and disappointing, and left me with the feeling of having been taken in by false advertising. If your business is not going to offer a particular menu, don't display it outside and then do a bait & switch on your (potential) customers. If you have to cut back on the menu for some reason then the menu also needs to come down or be replaced. Feeling I had been treated dishonestly, I left without ordering. It is highly doubtful I'll return.

09/03/2025: I got charged 18.50 for 3 goujons and half a spud. Tiny portions, I was still hungry leaving the place

16/12/2024: Awful. I wanted better for them but nope. The staff were nice, but the soup I was served up was just Campbell's soup watered down. If it was "pub grub," you could say something, but these are high end prices for shit on a slate, effectively. Incredible, really. I hope no one goes here for a meal, please bypass it.

04/01/2025: Always great food from Lyon’s. It’s our go-to chipper whenever we decide to treat ourselves to fast food. What I love is that it’s REAL food. Chips are always lovely.

16/03/2025: Superb service all round, from reception, bar, and breakfast. Nice comfortable rooms. The bar menu is excellent, and food tasty and well presented. Very central location in Clonmel. Lovely people working here.
