28/11/2025: It is difficult to write such a review. Quality of food is ok, nothing stands out in either way. However, the portion sizes are lacking a bit, ESPECIALLY when compared with the competition (mostly with Riverside China House). I used to frequent a few times to dine in, and had no complaints. For takeaway, there are better options. The only saving grace for Pagar Garden is that some days they open at 12pm, which is when no other takeaway is opened.

06/09/2025: I ate from here one evening. Not in the restaurant though…just had the chow mean and spring rolls…chow mein was tasty but I usually get it in a barbecue sauce from other places without having to say that in the order. I’ll have to check that next time before ordering. Apart from that, the food is good. The spring rolls were nice although greasy to touch…the dip was nice. I mixed the remainder of it into the chow mein to enhance the flavour a bit. It was a bit bland on the sauce side….if it was in a barbecue sauce it would be much tastier! Pagar is cheaper than other restaurants around town so that’s a big plus. Prices in restaurants are going up but standard aren’t.

22/11/2025: Th staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the toasted special with maryrose and it was very tasty. Service is qiuck with a smile.

16/08/2025: Had dinner with my partner the food was excellent we had starter main course and dessert and some house wine all food was top class and the house wine was quite nice and good value all in all i will be definitely returning and would highly recommend

05/10/2025: Hi guys. Ye know I think ye are wonderful but? Don't stop putting a few chips on the pizza or with the fish which ye always did. My pizza tonight not as good as last time but it was OK Was waiting a long time but worth it. Well done to ye.

25/10/2025: Breakfast at Cusack’s bar – 24th October We visited Cusack’s for breakfast around 11:10 a.m. on the 24th of October. To start with the positives — the lady who took our order was absolutely lovely. She was attentive, pleasant, and genuinely made us feel welcome. She truly deserves appreciation for her service. The food did take a little while to arrive, which was completely understandable given how busy the place was. The disappointment began when the food was served. My poached egg looked fine on the outside but was actually hard-boiled inside, had an awful taste of just vinegar, and the avocado was dark and clearly past its best. The overall quality just wasn’t what we’ve come to expect from Cusack’s, which has always been one of our favourite breakfast spots in Ireland. What really surprised us, though, was what happened towards the end. While we were still having a conversation and my wife still had her cutlery in hand, one of the senior staff members came over and began clearing the plate mid-conversation. She did ask if it was okay to clear, but she was already holding the plates stacked up before we could even respond. It felt a bit abrupt and left us both a little uncomfortable. To be clear, the gentleman working alongside her was perfectly polite and not involved in this. We genuinely like this place and have always enjoyed coming here, which is why this visit was disappointing. Most of the team are excellent at what they do, but it would be great if everyone could be on the same page, because small things like this can unintentionally take away from the otherwise great work of a wonderful team.

17/10/2025: Old but nice hotel. Rooms are clean. Food is very good. Breakfast is from menu and very good. Dinner is also amazing.

06/11/2025: Right after we entered the establishment, our group, consisting of 1 man and 3 women, was deliberately forced to leave by the person behind the counter. Deliberately racist act. Totally inappropriate. The gentleman, despite being rude, clearly displayed racism, perhaps because we are not Irish.
