20/03/2025: Asked for a black coffee and I was pleased that I could taste coffee and not scalded hot dark water like some other places might serve. It's great to sit in the window, like a living mannequin, and watch the town pass by doing their do.

24/03/2025: Hotel in the center of Thurles. Unbeatable location. Small but clean room and very comfortable beds. The bathroom is in desperate need of renovation. Old building with no elevator. Some common areas could also use a facelift. Very friendly staff. It's very important to keep in mind that Saturday nights can be very noisy. As there were comments about this, I requested a quieter room in advance, and they accommodated my request. My friend's room had this problem with noise until late at night. There was a nightclub downstairs. In my opinion, the price is excessive for the hotel and the services it offers, but perhaps they're taking advantage of the lack of competition in the area. One positive aspect is that they have free parking next to the hotel. We had a mishap when the hot water went out last night (these things can happen), but they didn't take any measures to address this issue. The hotel is decent, but they need to improve.

21/07/2024: Possibly the best food for the best value I have seen in ireland 30 euros for a 3 course menu, roast bar bun and lemon tart, big portion, really good quality. Fabulous meal, off the beaten track but well worth it

19/07/2024: We have gone here twice and plan on making it a regular date-night option as there are plenty of gluten-free and dairy-free options for all meals. The service is fantastic, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing.

13/11/2024: I went in for breakfast like i do a few times a week to this place i always order my own breakfast not one on menu which is pretty normal this morning the owner refused to let me order my usual which i found very strange as i only order 7 items compared to the 8 or 9 they give u on there 10e fry.yoube ashamed of yourself treating a regular customer like this

02/04/2025: Stopped in for some lunch when passing through Kenmare, small portions for the price. It was lunchtime midweek but still didn’t have a great atmosphere. Service was okay.
