19/05/2025: Had heard good things about this place so we decided to try it. We arrived at 11:45 and a lady said that we'd missed breakfast but could order dinner at 12 which was fine. We sat down and she handed us some menus. After about 15 minutes a different lady came over and barked "you've the wrong menus" she took the menus and walked off. She came back a few moments later with a different but basically identical menu. She went away and another girl (young and friendly) took our order and was friendly. As we were sitting by the door we had an opportunity to see every customer who was coming in. Pretty much every customer was treated like an inconvenience by the first lady we met. She was saying things like: "How many? 4 is it? Well you'll have to wait 25 minutes as there's as least 20 ahead" or "We're very busy. There's a load of people ahead of you". Nobody received a friendly greeting which is a pity as everyone was out for Sunday lunch. Many were elderly or had young children. The lady could have said something like: " Hi folks, lovely day out isn't it? Are you enjoying the sun? I'm afraid there's a few ahead of you but I'm happy to offer you a drink while you wait" An elderly man came in with a child. Before he even said anything the woman barked: "we've no tables" He asked if he could get a take away and she said yes in about 30 minutes. He asked what he could order and she simply pointed to the specials board and didn't even offer him a menu. Food was OK, not bad just ok. We felt like we were in the way the entire time. Wouldn't return. Basis customer service training is needed.

27/11/2025: Amy and her team are fantastic, whether you ring in your order and collect or order at the counter you get serviced quickly and don't have to wait more than 10mins even when it busy, and it can be busy because of it's popularity. Outstanding Chicken and the chips if you like crispy delicious lard cook chips these are amazing (hate those cheap oily soggy chips in some places) definitely one of my favourite takeaways.

19/10/2025: Best chipper in Town, Fresh food, lovley Staff Chipper very clean

27/10/2025: Impossible to get table service. Tables left uncleared. Staff all hiding behind counter joking among themselves. They give you a menu and then ignore you. I ended up just leaving.

30/08/2025: Tasty treats and a nice sandwich. Great friendly service and nice seata. Relaxed ambiance. Open a little later than some other cafes which was welcome!

29/07/2025: Food is absolutely awful. On a few occasions I've gotten food there and it's not nice at all.battered sausages are horrible and greasy pizza ain't bad but Luke warm at best chicken fillet burgers are over cooked.

01/12/2025: ★★☆☆☆ The experience here was disappointing. The décor feels run-down, the seats were dirty and uncomfortable, and the music added no atmosphere at all,being American country music. Staff were generally friendly when approached but not welcoming — distracted, often on their phones, and the warm water glasses didn’t help the impression. Staff also say on their break right beside our table when the restaurant has many other available seats. This was not the worst, rather the multiple trips to get a 2L bottle of water then a second, then a glass, then food, then salt, then another random item. The biggest issue: the food lacked flavour altogether. The pizza, pasta, and salad were all bland and under-seasoned, with nothing standing out. The pasta was more watery than creamy and the salad leaves were rough and uneven. This place has potential, but right now it feels neglected and uninspired. I wouldn’t rush back. (This review is inspired by years of professional culinary experience.)

01/12/2025: It was wonderful to step into the café, escape the rain and cold wind, and find ourselves in a cozy atmosphere, feeling welcomed. Everything we ordered was excellent! It's made us want to come back every weekend. Special thanks to the staff for their attentive care.

13/09/2025: Good food reasonably priced nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Best value in Thurles. Pity they don't serve food at weekends.

22/08/2025: Called for lunch and ordered burger and chips. There was no one ahead of me but people came in after me and they got served. I waited 40 minutes and I complained to a member of staff but got no real response. I left very disappointed as it looked like a real nice pub. I have only an hour for lunch like most people 😔

05/12/2025: Tables where filthy and the place cold. Prices are also ridiculously expensive for basic fried pub food. Bartender came to our table, saw the dirt, grease and dried ketchup on our table, then walked away. We got up and left. What an overpriced dump!

16/12/2025: A lovely little Indian restaurant we came across when we were traveling back to Limerick. Food was tasty and great value we will come back again. I look forward to trying more dishes

05/10/2025: Got takeaway the other night, violently sick the next day. Very bad food poisoning, very surprised I walkways eat from here and love it. Management needs to have a word with the chef.
