The best restaurants in Tipperary

20/07/2025: The locals are rude and ignorant was at a Christening and the were rude to the children who were just having fun will never be in side there doors again

06/01/2026: Only found this place on Google maps while passing through Tipp town. Managed to get in and sit down for the early bird menu which is any starter, choice of main with a side of either rice/chips or naan bread plus a tea or coffee for only €18.50! That must be one of the best deals in Ireland at this stage. The food was freshly prepared and nice and hot and the waiter very friendly. Will definitely be back next time I'm passing through.

16/12/2025: A lovely little Indian restaurant we came across when we were traveling back to Limerick. Food was tasty and great value we will come back again. I look forward to trying more dishes

27/10/2025: Impossible to get table service. Tables left uncleared. Staff all hiding behind counter joking among themselves. They give you a menu and then ignore you. I ended up just leaving.

30/08/2025: Tasty treats and a nice sandwich. Great friendly service and nice seata. Relaxed ambiance. Open a little later than some other cafes which was welcome!

25/09/2025: Shout out to Ann on the Clarins counter for the most lovely experience. From start to finish she understood and listened. Highly recommend

13/09/2025: Good food reasonably priced nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Best value in Thurles. Pity they don't serve food at weekends.

22/08/2025: Called for lunch and ordered burger and chips. There was no one ahead of me but people came in after me and they got served. I waited 40 minutes and I complained to a member of staff but got no real response. I left very disappointed as it looked like a real nice pub. I have only an hour for lunch like most people 😔

11/01/2026: While ordering at the till, just asked question about vegetarian burger it its soya pat inside or filled with vegetables, answer : " i dont know" Politely asked to ask someone in the kitchen, manager came back saying " i have no idea, if you want go check allergens list" I guess simple question as that should be answered easily, or atleast to show "manager" skill to atleast help finding out it its soya pat or pat filled with vegetables.

01/10/2025: Stayed here as I was working locally rooms are spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff great pints I would recommend.

19/05/2025: Had heard good things about this place so we decided to try it. We arrived at 11:45 and a lady said that we'd missed breakfast but could order dinner at 12 which was fine. We sat down and she handed us some menus. After about 15 minutes a different lady came over and barked "you've the wrong menus" she took the menus and walked off. She came back a few moments later with a different but basically identical menu. She went away and another girl (young and friendly) took our order and was friendly. As we were sitting by the door we had an opportunity to see every customer who was coming in. Pretty much every customer was treated like an inconvenience by the first lady we met. She was saying things like: "How many? 4 is it? Well you'll have to wait 25 minutes as there's as least 20 ahead" or "We're very busy. There's a load of people ahead of you". Nobody received a friendly greeting which is a pity as everyone was out for Sunday lunch. Many were elderly or had young children. The lady could have said something like: " Hi folks, lovely day out isn't it? Are you enjoying the sun? I'm afraid there's a few ahead of you but I'm happy to offer you a drink while you wait" An elderly man came in with a child. Before he even said anything the woman barked: "we've no tables" He asked if he could get a take away and she said yes in about 30 minutes. He asked what he could order and she simply pointed to the specials board and didn't even offer him a menu. Food was OK, not bad just ok. We felt like we were in the way the entire time. Wouldn't return. Basis customer service training is needed.

23/11/2025: Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Prices are a bit on the higher side. I had a yellow curry and was very pleased with the taste!

28/07/2025: We were a party of 8 and we ate here on a Sunday evening. The food was excellent but the beef dishes with Filet beef were fantastic and really worth the extra money. All round fantastic food and very nice staff. Highly recommended.

09/12/2025: When u walk in you are greeted as if u were an old friend. The restaurant is large and airy lots of seating. They are good at accommodating small groups(12ish) with a reservation. There is a wide selection between the menu and specials board

12/10/2025: I will start off by saying food is ok and most of the staff are polite and friendly especially a curly haired waitress. However, an older woman with a bob hairstyle let them down with a bang, we were there for Sunday lunch and from the moment we walked in we were berated and treated like second class citizens. I am a care staff in a home for adults with intellectual disabilities so when we go out for lunch, each meal has to be paid for individually. As we are repeat customers this fact is known by staff before we even sit down to eat and although the bill came to nearly €150 we were very rudely told that in future to ring ahead as they are very busy. I was shocked as this establishment advertise themselves as being open to walk ins but apparently that doesn’t extend to us. Needless to say we won’t be returning.
