The best restaurants in Tipperary

08/03/2025: my girlfriend and I walked into this chipper together. We both looked at the menu together and after a minute of deliberations, decided what we would get. I sat down and my gf walker over to the till and ordered our food. While I was sitting waiting, I noticed one of the staff staring at me, which felt quite uneasy .soon after 3 members of staff started shouting at me "hello hello, are you OK, do you want something to eat?" I looked up from my phone told them I was ok and that I had ordered. I was told to come to the till to order, and I had to explain three times that my gf who was stood at the till was waiting for the other. This was done in front of all the other customers which was quite unprofessional and with no apology. Food was ok but found this experience pretty strange.

09/03/2025: I got charged 18.50 for 3 goujons and half a spud. Tiny portions, I was still hungry leaving the place

01/08/2025: Poor food with no taste. I have an old chicken wings, it was cold and probabably cooked 7 hours ago... My wife had Chowder, which was cooked as fast made (instant powder). Spacious place, servers are very pleasans. If you hubgry - agoid this place, go to lidl for sandwiches.

21/06/2025: Lovely spot for dinner for coeliac. The gluten free pizza was amazing! A light crisp base and plenty of toppings. The gluten eater I was with approved! They have a separate area in the kitchen where it's prepared. They serve it on a wooden board, I queried whether non-gf pizzas are served on the same boards and was told the gluten containing pizza boards have a black circle on them while the gluten free boards have no markings on them. A lot of the menu items can be adapted but it's not necessarily marked, the server was clued in regarding what can be adapted. Dessert was delicious, toffee and coffee pudding with ice cream.

04/06/2025: Visited here with the small one age 3 and 7 the staff are well seasoned in dealing with kids and made ordering easy ,the staff could not have been nicer ,lovely brunch worth a visit

16/08/2025: An absolute disgrace we waited about 30 minutes for an average sized meal and it wasn’t even busy There must have been maybe 4 staff workers for 30 people I ordered a Regular Coke but got a Coke Zero also ordered ketchup no ketchup to be seen and I found a hair in my chips

15/08/2025: Not sure what happened but 30 mins for food and it ended up being wrong Staff seemed all over the place

23/08/2025: Possibly the worst KFC I ever came across. Quality of food is so poor as is the portion size.. Save your money and don't eat here..

19/08/2025: This Chinese takeaway’s a keeper. Got chow mein—noodles fresh, veggies crunchy. A bit late, but still hot. Forgot the soy sauce, but who’s complaining? Tasted dead good. Reordering.

03/08/2025: Got salt and chilli chicken chicken like rubber and all the veg was over cooked and re heated. The boiled rice was like rice pudding. Pure slop. How can someone actually hand out rice like that. Beef in black bean the beef was chewy and rubbery. First and last time

26/04/2025: I ate here last Saturday 19th April with two others..... At a previous time before I ordered a starter of beef strips and nasi goreng for main course....the starter was absolutely ridiculous...I'd would have received more meat on a chicken Wing. However I decided to give it another try again as the quality of food was always excellent. This time starter was baby back ribs and received 3....surely 5 would be average My wife ordered the chicken wings and received 4... we would have expected 5-6 I believe I paid €9.50 for the ribs which was absolutely ridiculous My wife was very disappointed with the quantity of wings received also. Main course was sizzling beef with fried rice and received what I would consider a very small portion of rice. My wife and I both ordered from the main menu not the early bird... and I would have expected more because of this. We were very disappointed with the meal and it being a firm favourite to go with the family occasionally. The staff were lovely and professional and the quality of the food is excellent but sadly I feel that the quantity has reduced dramatically much to my disappointment.... Unfortunately I will be going elsewhere in future....

29/07/2025: Don’t buy from here they gave me an out of date orange juice from 2024 smashed up chips and poppadoms in the bag also small hairs in the korma absolutely disgusting

15/07/2025: Had a lovely lunch in Quigley's with my son. The food was delicious. Even though the Cafe was very busy, the staff were very courteous and helpful, in particular Hannah. She was very pleasant and was extremely kind to an elderly couple who needed assistance.

04/07/2025: Another lovely lunch at Quigleys in Nenagh. Clean, spacious and staff very helpful and friendly. Served by Hannah .who made us feel very welcome.

23/08/2025: Again we keep coming to this place, because the food is great highly recommended. Big portions of servings and budget wise the food is affordable.

24/07/2025: my first time here was very positive! The staff were lovely and I personally really loved the decor of the restaurant. It's not too big of a place but I enjoyed the coziness. There wasn't much of a wait either as the food came quickly

20/07/2025: Food was great, but I got a hair in mine that really dampened our experience a lot... invest in some hairnets for your kitchen staff!

02/09/2025: Was really looking forward to my usual Chicken Penne Arrabitta and meatball starter, only to find that they are no longer on the menu😟 unfortunately there was no tomato based dishes to choose from, went for a BBQ chicken pizza, couldn't find any chicken on it, inquired with chef via server ( who agreed he couldn't see any chicken) was told it was indeed on the pizza, i'm still looking. Very disappointed 😞
