Gorgeous Sunday dinner! Very pretty building. Authentically Irish! Friendly and attentive staff. The fire was on too- so welcoming!

I had the mixed grill at €19.95, excellent really was very very good! Steak, lamb, liver, bacon and hash brown! Plus...a side of chips! Very popular with locals and farmers. Carvery was very popular the last time I came here! Personally not a fan of any carvery, over boiled veg(and roast) not my thing! Delighted the mixed grill was an option thankfully.

Ballycarney Inn

21/03/2026: Good place, located on the side of the road if you're passing through, they serve very good coffee, you can have a good Irish Breakfast and continue on your way.
10/03/2026: I had the best breakfast here I've had anywhere for years. Service was swift & the staff were so friendly & helpful. Very reasonably priced too.

06/06/2026: Outside on the Sneem side, a heat pump is blowing and shaking all night on the unbalanced floor. Our first complaint about this was met with surprise, but we received a free upgrade for the second night anyway. A shame. The restaurant wasn't inviting enough to test, breakfast was okay. The room upgrade was just fine.
