A combination of unusual and excellent fare and a warm ambience combined with the background pianist tinkling the ivories make this an atmospheric treat. The starter and dessert buffets are beyond compare and the main course choices covering various kinds of meat and fish never disappoint. We are repeat customers for more than thirty years. I should mention the staff who are all pleasant and focused on the customer.

Such an amazing experience in the restaurant. The staff, food and ambiance simply spectacular. If in west Cork it’s a must visit. Can’t wait to go back.

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere

We held our wedding in Blairscove house in July 2023. We live abroad and only got to see the venue the day before our wedding. Ann, Woody and all the staff were amazing. Set in the idyllic picturesque countryside of West Cork, the drive up to the house saw the start of a magical stay. Breath taking views, beautiful old buildings restored to a high standard. This old country house and piggery is family run. And while there is a great attention to detail and very friendly professional staff the atmosphere feels very relaxed and comfortable. The food was delicious and the buffet starters and desserts (which are to die for) meant we could sample everything. Finest quality ingredients and we could really feel the passion. The apartments with beautiful views are just gorgeous too, with great showers and the fluffiest white towels I have ever seen. In the bathrooms we also had local handmade soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. The coffee sherry and homemade biscuits just add another element of attention. From start to finish our experience was top notch and we leave with only positive feelings.
