On a Sunday was serving choice of taditional Sunday roasts; pork turkey & beef with baked salmon, mushroom tagliatelle & a beef stroganoff as alternatives. All served piping hot very tasty. Starter & desert were delicious too. Maybe not fine dining but good solid fare, well executed. Bar area is a rustic gem, must have a preservation order put on it.

Glen Keen Farm & Visitor Centre

28/05/2026: We just visited Glen Keen and thoroughly enjoyed their kind hospitality! The sheepdog demonstration was amazing! Molly and Jil are so well trained by Pat. The family shared wonderful stories and were great hosts to our group. A thousand thank yous! This place is not to be missed!!
27/05/2026: It was a wonderful experience lunch was delicious. The border collies were so amazing to watch them work. I was on a tour of Ireland and this was 1 of my favorite things i did highly recommend. There irish cream they make and sell was so good I have been upset I didn't buy any.

18/05/2026: 'The Field Bar' The bar that was used in the making of the above film.A brilliant atmosphere. A very nice open fire thar added to the atmosphere. Memories of the film on the walls and a lot of information in relation to same. TV. Busy. Staff efficient and friendly. Great location. Leenane would be a popular area for walkers. A very nice craft shop close by to visit. Lots of things to do. Check it out.
13/05/2026: Great stop for a few drinks. Very local vibe. Nice to see the memorabilia from the iconic movie "the field", which was filmed in Leenane.
