01/04/2025: Have eaten there twice in last months the seafood pasta is the best I have tasted! My husband had the beef .it was lovely and tender and great portions with fresh vegetables. Great friendly service and good value for money

31/03/2025: Had all day breakfast, very small portions. One egg, two sausage, one white/black pudding. 2 bacon. Sufficient

15/04/2025: We went in to get some food, when we arrived in there was one table free which a waitress was cleaning, as I am six months pregnant I went to sit down while my partner ordered, the waitress cleaning the table was friendly and greeted me with small talk. However, the person serving at the counter shouted across the entire full cafe that I could not sit down, the table was for someone else- There was no reserved sign, the waitress cleaning never said anything to me when I sat down, all she had asked was had I ordered which I told her my partner was doing. We have been here before and I have, as I did that day sat down as my partner ordered our food, however on this occasion we left absolutely mortified as a result of the hostility and attitude of the server.

15/04/2025: Lovely spot in the heart of Dublin. probably serves the cheapest pint in temple bar. Staff really nice and friendly. Great pint of Guinness

18/05/2024: I was at the hangedmans restraunt today with my family. As I was sitting down having our dinner I over heard a horrendous conversation with the owner of the restraunt. The owner was shouting at a woman from what I understood was not her fault at all as someone with her had canceled a booking, the owner then went on to tell the woman to f***off and to leave. Another man then came up to tell the owner that this wasn’t right or talk to a woman like that, and his response to the man was f*** off aswell, totally inexcusable behaviour and should not shout and use vulgar language to a woman. I said it to him when paying for our bill that I would be leaving this review as I was disgusted with his behaviour. Do not come here unless you want to be shouted at or abused for no reason. The owner is a horrid man

25/01/2025: We have a family lunch here on New Year 2025. Great portions of food and very delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will come back again for sure. 👍

05/10/2024: Mega tasty and fresh. Super friendly staff. Another restaurant that I would like to take home with me. So if you're looking for a restaurant in Donegal, I can only recommend this one.

17/04/2025: Probably the worst dinner I've ever had in a restaurant.... the first warning sign was when the food arrived to our table 2 minutes after we had ordered, i.e. a clear sign it had not been cooked fresh. Food was lukewarm at best. I got the vegan burger which was completely inedible - it was rock hard and burnt to a crisp. My dad got the beef burger which had a horrible grayish tint to it. Sent back the vegan burger, to which the manager reacted with absolutely no surprise at all, which makes me wonder if this happens on a frequent basis! He was not in any way apologetic and didn't seem to care at all. The only positive in an otherwise terrible dining experience was the lovely waitress who served us. Avoid at all costs.

12/03/2025: Food was unbelievable and after accidentally leaving my retainer in the napkin🤦‍♂️staff took the time to search through rubbish and return it to me and were very polite. Would highly recommend.

03/02/2025: Almorzamos el domingo aquí el 2 de febrero y la comida estaba bien. Conseguí la pasta cremosa de pollo y setas y salió fría y mi amigo consiguió el pollo al curry y también estaba fría como piedra y cuando dijimos que entonces estaba fría, las volvieron a tomar y se desgastaron 5 minutos y regresaron entubadas calientes. Definitivamente se usaron microondas y el curry era casi intocable durante unos 5 minutos y fue horrible. Mis otros 2 amigos consiguieron pastel de pastores y las patatas fritas llevaban pastel frío. Estaba bien y uno pidió verduras a un lado y no lo recibió hasta 20 minutos después de que todos habíamos terminado de comer, así que dijimos que no. Es demasiado tarde. Ahora. 2 postres ordeñados. Uno pidió lácteos libres y se sirvió. Pastel de queso sin lácteos con crema láctea en el plato. No tenía sentido y los precios de la comida subieron.

01/04/2025: It is centrally located and transportation is easy. The place is friendly, casual and usually crowded. The food is above average. The stew is just like you know.

09/04/2025: Unfortunately, this Restaurant / Bar has really gone downhill. We used to really enjoy going there but this is the last time. 4 of us went for lunch and all meals were of really poor standard. Frozen chips overcooked so could barely eat. You would need a chisel to eat the veg it was so hard. We told the waiter but he wasn't that interested and said he could get us more but at this point we just wanted to leave. Considering the prices are quite high we will not be returning.

08/04/2025: so i have been to barry's for drinks , which i do recommend and the bar is very nice inside and good smoking area at the back, service wasn't the best , ordered a bottle of wine was literally blonked on the table, was a first , so being a gent i poured the wine for my wife . food now in all honesty was terrible except the chips which weren't burnt unlike the duck i had . i would go there again for a drink but over priced pub food in my opinion , and a suggestion to the owner please review your wine list , its very limited

08/10/2024: Favorite chip shop of mine over more than a decade of visiting Cork on occasion. With that said my last visit a few weeks ago ended up with them giving me the wrong order that I did not realize was the case until long away from the shop. Chicken supper instead of the Cod Supper that I ordered. It was still good but it sad that I didn't get one last Cod Supper before they shut down for good this past weekend.
