14/08/2025: Best place by a mile in Gorey for food. Fine dining in a relaxed environment welldone to all involved.

23/05/2025: We had dinner here tonight for my husbands birthday. I have to say our meal, and our evening was sublime. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed our night. This is a restaurant that takes pride in the food it serves. We have eaten here on a number of occasions over the years from the time it was on The Avenue in Gorey, to now, on the Main Street. The quality and inventiveness of the dishes continues to impress. The menu is based on what is freshly available in season which makes for wonderful food. We cannot recommend The Bistro enough to anyone who loves good food.

11/07/2025: I have eaten here many times and have always found the food, the atmosphere and particularly the staff very good. On this occasion, the staff as always were lovely but I was extremely disappointed with the choice of dishes for coeliacs/ gluten intolerant diners. I decided to opt for seafood chowder as my main course as there were no gf seafood options for main course and the chips are not gluten free. The chowder was ok, but what was so disappointing was what was clearly basic shop-bought bread served with the chowder. The gf sliced pan was toasted. A real own goal for a restaurant that sells itself as a Seafood restaurant and charges above average prices. I chose roulade for dessert which was quite good, but did not make up for the well below average starter that I had to choose as a main course.

10/07/2025: The food is as beautiful as you could hope for, I had an Indian curry, but I was afraid it might be to hot, and the server said I could try it, and if it was, she would get me something to add, but it was lovely, and we had dessert and coffees, and they were lovely as well, definitely will call back sometime.

13/08/2025: Had an amazing lunch, the oysters were fresh and the atmosphere very welcoming and friendly. I will dream about the house bread.

21/08/2025: This was the only bakery open on Sunday in the early hours. I got a take away coffee. It was a bit pricey but good

04/08/2025: Lovely atmosphere and staff so nice but unfortunately terrible selection for vegetarians. Paid €39 for an onion and goats cheese tart which was the only option and unfortunately I don’t like goat cheese so had it without so it was literally just onions on pastry. Would love to see an improvement on veggie options and perhaps a vegan option.

27/07/2025: The chickpea and spinach curry was gorgeous, the place is oldy worldy with thick beams and a fabulous atmosphere. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The toilets with sparkling clean

27/07/2025: Excellent place, real old world with loads of character. The staff are lovely and friendly, great food and drink & the craic is mighty.

14/08/2025: We visit Rua regularly and it's always a 5 star. The food is superb 👌. A little bit more pricey than your usual cafe but well worth it.

21/05/2025: Authentic Pub with a relaxed Ringsend atmosphere. Good pint of Guinness. Good place to enjoy either live music in the pub or watch a game with friends and strangers on Sunday.

20/08/2025: Visited for lunch passing through, based on tripadvisor review. Sat in outdoor area. Lots of positives but for me let down by crumbs everywhere. . A little cleaning spray and cleaning the seats with a cloth would make a big difference. Similarly when i walked inside Noted there was crumbs all over the floor .a quick sweep would go a long way. Food was nice . Bakery food looked delicious. Staff were friendly.

14/08/2025: We visited recently and the food exceptional. Noticed the restarant has had a major revamp. preferred it as it used to be, but quality seating, fittings, everything done to a real luxury standard all the same.The blonde haired lady who took our order is such a lovely friendly welcoming staff, and have always found her like this anytime we visit. Id imagine she is just that type of person, she would put you in good form.Just one thing that made our visit uncomfortable on the day was a swarm of wasps in the restaurant itself, while we were there a lady and her 2 kids left as she said that she has an anaphalactic reaction to stings and couldnt take the risk in staying . Another couple beside us were terrified at the thought of getting stung. never the less, this place is well worth a visit, amazing cakes, and bread to buy too.

31/08/2025: We had the Roast of the Day: Delicious. A large potion of mashed potatoes. Friendly atmosphere. The two of us split that and the very good vegetable soup. We were both full.

07/08/2025: A good option for eating near the beach. The food was good. There were limited non-alcoholic beer options (only Heineken), and the "cafe cortado" (coffee with a little milk) was difficult to understand. The girl spoke extremely fast, making it difficult to follow her.
