14/04/2025: Doing a tourist walk near by so found this pub by accident. Lovely place and delicious food. John looked after us so well with food and drink suggestions, (ably assisted by Roberto) so service was excellent! A warm and welcoming pub!

16/03/2025: We have my mothers birthday in this hotel every year and it’s always a pleasure - Seosif and all the staff are so nice to deal with, food was hot with a lot of choice, deal with coeliac very well and they make a lovely personalised menu for the day, would recommend!

02/03/2025: Hands down, this B&B has exceeded all my expectations!!! After a week of exploring Ireland, I can confidently say this place has it all. Delicious food, a fantastic bar, and exceptional service. The owner and staff are incredibly welcoming, making you feel right at home. They're more than happy to share their knowledge of the area, recommend hidden gems, and provide valuable insights into Ireland's rich history. Plus, parking is a breeze - a rare find in Ireland! 11/10 would recommend

06/01/2025: We hadn’t planned to stay here on our trip back to Dublin. Because of atrocious weather conditions we couldn’t progress. Liz and her team kindly reopened her B&B for us and a few other stranded travellers. We had a comfortable stay with nice food including breakfast. Then we were on our way. Fantastic Kerry hospitality.

04/04/2025: The food here was absolutely delicious, It's rare you have such a perfectly seasoned beef burger. Will definitely be coming here again on the next day trip to Adare.

29/03/2025: Great restaurant! The food was good, but what truly stood out was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent, especially from our waiter, Rafael, who was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The ambiance is super cozy, with beautiful artwork on the walls that adds a special touch. It's definitely a place we’d love to visit again!

04/04/2025: We had a birthday celebration on Sunday with over 20 family and friends for lunch. We were expecting a very good meal but it exceeded our expectations. The food was simply outstanding and all of our guests were unanimous in their praise. The flavours of the courses were just wonderful. I had smoked salmon for starter and it was delicious. I then had lamb for main course and it was perfectly cooked, tender and flavoursome. Service was provided mainly by young college age girls and guys and they were friendly, efficient and accommodating. The dining area was understandably busy but not noisy. The beautiful building was spotlessly clean. We didn't realize that there is a nice bar available for a pre-meal drink but will avail of it next time. I highly recommend the Ashbrooke Arms to anyone looking for delicious food, cooked with great skill in a lovely building with great service.

Cancelled my booking just 1.5 days before our New Years Eve trip for a close friends wedding, leaving us with nowhere to stay and slim chances of getting something on such a busy night at such short notice. Cited priority for booking.com customers - I had booked on the phone months before. Despicable customer service.

07/11/2024: Myself, my husband and our 2.5 year old stopped in for a quick soup while out running errands. The barman was very attentive making sure our little fella was well looked after too. We had a veg soup and chips. Soups was really tasty and not like the imitation baby food ya get in most places. The chips were skin on skinny chip with a decent amount too. They were great. My husband loved the MUG of great coffee. They pull a good pint too.

19/12/2024: We had our Christmas party for the 3rd time there! Food was good as always, but the music wasn't as good as previous years, and one of the bartenders had a bit of an attitude at some point! Overall it was a good experience, and we are looking forward to finding out what's coming next year! P.S.: Ruaidhri was there for us every year for our Christmas parties, making sure that we are having the best experience, so we do hope that we will see him there again in the new wrights adventure!

14/12/2024: Worst place to spend time in Swords

01/03/2025: I visited The Fiddler’s Elbow tonight, Friday, at around 20:46, hoping for a pleasant dinner. To my surprise, I was immediately informed that the kitchen was closed—even though they advertise that it’s open until 9 pm (see photo!) When I asked for clarification on the closing time, I was told that it’s a strict rule to close at quarter to, which is incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve encountered issues here. On a recent visit, our menus were literally thrown at us as the waitress walked away, leaving us feeling disrespected and ignored. The service, overall, has been consistently slow and unresponsive. It seems like they rely on slow cookers to manage the orders, which only adds to the delay!!!???? 🤷 After tonight’s experience, I don’t see myself returning. The repeated disregard for advertised hours and the consistently poor service have finally become too much.

16/03/2025: We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant. We were served by Niamh and she was absolutely lovely and professional. She looked after us very well. We had 3 starters and 2 mains. Everything was very tasty and very well prepared. Hopefully we will came back soon.

11/03/2025: Lovely hot chocolate, great coffee, yummy chorizo, or mushroom sausage rolls. Food and cakes are always amazing. Love the shop with the art and handmade products.

12/04/2025: We had a fantastic dining experience at the hotel’s restaurant. The service was truly spectacular—staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. From the moment we sat down, we felt well taken care of. The food? Delicious. We especially loved the appetizers—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite felt thoughtful, and the friendly atmosphere only added to the enjoyment.
