26/04/2025: No comí aquí, solo me alojé en el alojamiento. Fue una decisión de última hora, ya que el precio era mucho más bajo que en cualquier otro lugar en Co Galway. La habitación estaba limpia y cómoda y los tés surtidos. Lo que me decepcionó fue el ruido del exterior. Estaba en la habitación 3 y solo me di cuenta tarde cuando estaba listo para dormir que la ventana no se cerró correctamente. Esta habitación da directamente a la calle principal y por lo que tuve unas tres horas de apenas tráfico. Además, no hay cortinas en la habitación solo una persiana opaca que se ha cortado a medida pero no muy bien. Cuando se tira hacia abajo, hay alrededor de una pulgada o dos a cada lado donde la farola vierte a través. Finalmente, entiendo que esto es Oranmore, pero mi pareja fue capaz de caminar en el alojamiento a las 9 de la noche y venir arriba completamente desapercibido y sin control. Como mujer viajando sola, no me sentí muy segura esa noche.

29/03/2025: Gave this place another chance but still overrated. Service was slow. Fried eggs totally overcooked and halloumi burnt. Waiter was very nice and friendly.

07/05/2025: Great dancefloor. Top bands. Lots to see around if on a holiday. Food fantastic.

26/04/2025: Called in to have lunch and absolutely lovely food. Staff extremely helpful. I had chicken wings and hot sauce and mains bacon burger plus fries other enjoyed there meals. Will call back again.

23/03/2025: We stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding. Nice, well maintained hotel with great attentive staff who were always happy to help and answered the phone very quickly. Leisure facilities were good, clean and looked after, you need to wear a swim hat but these can be loaned from leisure reception or brought for 2.50 euro. Only very minor gripes were that the shower in the room was a bit temperamental with the hot and cold and it wasn't that powerful. Also breakfast was pretty average, did the job but nothing to write home about. If it wasn't for these two points then it would have been 5 stars.

19/03/2025: Reception staff very friendly, room was basic but lovely clean plenty towels and tea/coffee biscuits. We booked a time for dinner as we were told it be safer we arrived down and seated very quickly, but it went down hill after that the waiting to order and for food to come was very slow. Very slow to clear table i had bring up glasses myself as i was afraid the child would break one. Bar staff had no interest in being there they were so slow to take order was left waiting at least 5/6 minutes every time one off us went up to order and it wasnt busy 2/3 sitting at bar. From a publican to another they need more training in dealing with customers or new staff hired that want to do the job. Pool facilities were lovely. Overall it was a lovely stay just need new bar staff.

06/05/2025: I had a wonderful lunch today at Chapter Twenty at the Mill Park Hotel. I started with a pint of Guinness, the lunch special was roasted leg of lamb with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. Absolutely delicious!! I normally don’t get dessert, but I was tempted by the Baileys cheesecake. It was served with the dip of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and strawberries. It was wonderful! I ended the meal with a Baileys coffee which was made perfectly. The food was fantastic, the service was impeccable! I definitely recommend this restaurant with five stars!

13/04/2025: Underwhelming. Server Graeme was especially unfriendly, no eye contact.. no chat, very direct. Seemed to be tension between staff, as no staff engaged with us at all apart from the female maître d. Would expect more for the cost of food & drinks. Low music also. Drinks more expensive than temple bar, although I was impressed they offered gluten free pasta. Unfortunately it was quite dry, not creamy at all & the huge portion was wasteful. Won’t be returning, although visually the venue is fantastic

07/06/2025: We ordered seafood chowder, mussles, duck and a rack of lamb. The duck was very dry and the side vegetables were quite plain. Sauce was good, though. The lamb looked good on the outside, but was mainly fat. Location is very good and the people were nice. There are better alternatives within the same village.

05/06/2025: Enjoyed lunch here on a drive from Galway to Doolin. Kinvarra is only about 15 mins from Galway but such a pretty place to stop and take a stroll after getting out of the traffic in the town and the best option on that part of the coast road.

10/05/2025: Sadly, probably one of the worst meals we’ve had. Both vegetarians and we ordered two of the veggie options on the menu of which we were pleased to see that there were quite a few! We got the veggie nachos - the salsa and guacamole looked like they came from a jar - and the flatbread with goat cheese which unfortunately tasted so awful we had to send it back. Perhaps the meat dishes tasted better but avoid if you’re vegetarian. However - lovely setting and friendly staff

03/05/2025: Stopped off for lunch . Service was excellent , menu limited but food good. Great location right alongside the river Barrow.

04/04/2025: We had a birthday celebration on Sunday with over 20 family and friends for lunch. We were expecting a very good meal but it exceeded our expectations. The food was simply outstanding and all of our guests were unanimous in their praise. The flavours of the courses were just wonderful. I had smoked salmon for starter and it was delicious. I then had lamb for main course and it was perfectly cooked, tender and flavoursome. Service was provided mainly by young college age girls and guys and they were friendly, efficient and accommodating. The dining area was understandably busy but not noisy. The beautiful building was spotlessly clean. We didn't realize that there is a nice bar available for a pre-meal drink but will avail of it next time. I highly recommend the Ashbrooke Arms to anyone looking for delicious food, cooked with great skill in a lovely building with great service.

08/05/2025: Went to Keanes the other day when we were on vacation. I’m not sure if the gentleman that waited on us was the owner or manager but he was so friendly!! He spoke to us for a while about Ireland and what to see and do. Their food was absolutely delicious. We loved the salmon cod bake, the fajitas and the roasted lamb. Yummy!! And the drinks were superb! Wonderful Irish restaurant!! You won’t be disappointed!! 😋

08/05/2025: WOW WOW WOW! I’ve been trying many restaurants while traveling through Ireland, and this is by far the best. Our waiter was incredibly welcoming and genuinely took the time to get to know us. The food was absolutely AMAZING! I had the lamb with mashed potatoes, and I would come back to Ireland just for that dish. Here is my beer.
