17/06/2026: Very friendly staff, great food at a very reasonable price.

31/05/2026: We came on a chance while visiting Cork, because it looked like an interesting mix of Irish and Thai cuisines. We had a gigantic chicken burger which was great and a delicious Thai red curry which was actually yellow but nonetheless very good. Portions are huge, you would not come here for atmosphere or decor as it's inside not a very glamorous small shopping centre where you need a key to access the toilet. All female staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating, if we are ever back this way we will be sure to be back and thank you!

27/06/2026: We went for lunch around 3:30 PM and were served quickly. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful.

12/06/2026: The food lacked flavour. People on tables around me were all leaving their potatoes and veg. And the chips were reported as very dry.

14/09/2026: We were very happy with our meal here. Everyone enjoyed their food from grandmother down to toddler. The wine waa gorgeous. Staff are lovely and attentive. One of our party is on a restricted diet after a hospital visit and they were happy to accommodate. We will be back.

13/09/2026: Dined here on Friday 11th.September. Table of 4 adults. 2 different starters, 4 different mains , 1 desert and 2 coffee. Everyone agreed the food was of a very high standard. The staff were professional,polite,attentive and extremely friendly. Our table was a little tight being in the middle of the floor, with constant customers/staff squeezing by. This may have been due to the fact they had live music on and needed space for the performer. If not, may need to look at seating arrangement. Everyone agreed the price for the food and drinks was great value. Would we come again/recommend the bar/restaurant, most definitely yes. A very good night had by all

27/03/2026: We went to the Gateway today for a family birthday. The sevice was slow but food was reasonable even though vegetables arrived when meal was nearly eaten. The main problem was with the service and attitude of staff. We asked for a jug of water before meal and asked two different girls on four different occasions without water arriving. When it did arrive the jug and glasses were slammed on table. We will not be back

21/08/2026: This is a great place to buy unique gifts and items. The food and drink are top notch. The staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend a stop with or without a tour of the Hill of Tara.

22/08/2026: Unfortunately first restaurant where I had to give such low score. Personally food was far away from good. Ordered mussels and gambas, first had to act like animal and put fingers into plate to scrape all mussels (okay, it's how you eat) but 20 minutes removing all shells, after all gambas were whole so I had to dip my hand into plate/soup to pull them and clean them as well. Apart of classic spoon, fork and knife you don't get any other tool for it. After cleaning, finally started to eat but first bite and disappointment in taste.. that food was not Mediterranean "inspired" as im from there and nowhere ate anything similar. Other, traditional fish n chips can be far better.. fish was not tasting so good and chips tasted so strange. On street food tastes better so for restaurant, unfortunately by our opinion, we will not return. Prices are okay and atmosphere is okay. Mussels and gambas I just left uneaten.

20/07/2026: Alex is an absolute gentleman. My order was missing a few items, so the next time I went into Supermacs I was genuinely blown away by his generosity making up for the previous error. You really don't see this kind of service anymore. Couldn't recommend the restaurant enough.

12/04/2026: This is my go-to place for lunch every weekend. I am always impressed by the kindness of the team. Specially, there is a female staff member who I think is Chinese she is outstanding. She is patient, understands customer needs deeply and handles every request with a smile. Her service is the heart of this place

21/06/2026: Nice food. Summer pudding for dessert— rare in England. Pleasant, very quiet (on a Sunday), staff helpful and jolly if not of the fastest! If it's a hotel, I saw no evidence of that.

01/06/2026: Always a pleasure to stay here! Rooms are a tad dated but homely, cosy, and comfortable. The food is the standout here, from breakfast, to bar, to restaurant. Everything is thoughtfully considered and assembled, fish being the winner in the bar and restaurant!

06/06/2026: Chocolate Heaven with a Lovely Lunch Twist! Torc Longford is definitely a must-visit for chocolate lovers,their chocolate treats are irresistible. But don’t skip the lunch menu! The chicken and mushroom pie, is a winner, packed with filling, rich, and creamy. One tiny downside: the seats are closely packed. You’ll enjoy your meal… until someone at the next table starts sharing their entire life story. Yep, you’ll know everything about them before you leave (even if you’d rather not 😉). Bottom line: Great food, amazing chocolate, and a cozy (if slightly snug) atmosphere. Bring a chocolate-loving friend and enjoy the pie!

01/07/2026: Vegan, vegetarian & plant-based travelers: just call ahead, and the kitchen will make sure to have a full menu of vegan starters and mains for you to choose from. Make sure to mention how many members of group are vegan, so that they can plan accordingly. We were very impressed with the service, and with the quality of the vegan options. We will definitely be returning soon!
