26/04/2026: Attended the Lee wedding, honestly don't know where to start, from the moment we arrived we knew that this hotel was special. All the staff we encountered very friendly and helpful. Our room was cosy, clean and comfortable. The food was fabulous from the prewedding food to the actual wedding meal and breakfast the following morning, I honestly couldn't fault it all one bit. Loved the "things to do locally " at the back of the breakfast menu. Lovely idea. What I also enjoyed was that the wedding guests had basically taken over the hotel which made the wedding very personal. Honestly, we would not hesitate in coming back to stay there again.

In a sea of bland and impersonal hotels, Step House is a place that retains a true sense of hospitality - welcoming, personal and warm. Thank you for making my parents' recent stay so special, for taking such care of my dad, and for the thoughtful gift for their 60th wedding anniversary ! Just wonderful ❤️

14/12/2025: Often pop in here for some chips and a hot drink while waiting for the buses that leave from the back. Lovely atmosphere. Always warm and friendly staff.

15/03/2026: We walked in and it took a long time before we could order food. Guests in front of us were served earlier. I had ordered the daily special, the calamari, and my two travel companions something else. It tasted fine at first, but in the evening I became very ill with food poisoning. I had to fly back the next day, and that was the toughest trip of my life. It is now a week later, and I have finally recovered. My advice: never eat here.

15/02/2026: Food is good but nothing worse than staff with heads stuck in their fones and people waiting for service or even to interact with people at the counter.

20/03/2026: Fantastic place to eat. Spotlessly clean inside and outside. Lots of parking. Catering for lorries as well. We were warmly welcomed the minute we arrived. After we were seated we had an extensive menu to choose from. Service was mannerly, professional, and very helpful. Our food was brought promptly and was absolutely beautiful. Lovely, ample portions beautifully arranged that tasted fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the toilet facilities were very clean. A beautiful experience. Well done to management and staff.

17/03/2026: We had a terrible experience. We were the only people of color and the attitude showed that we weren't welcome. Got the worst table despite having some free tables that weren't even reserved. We had to leave and look for another place to get some steak.

20/04/2026: A really nice place to dine, no matter if it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff was super nice and proffesionel. Food and coffee was really worth the money.

07/04/2026: Have been several times previous and it was always great. Today however the food was very poor. I had a sirloin steak which I asked to be done medium well. It was very very tough and cooked very well done. It certainly did not taste like a good quality cut of meat either in my opinion. My wife had Duck breast which was mainly bone and skin and was served with a baked potato as opposed to mash. Very disappointed and let down with the quality of food. Service, setting and atmosphere were all every good.

05/04/2026: Been there, First it was nice. Had a Gin and Tonic with my partner and for the second the girl at the bar charged me 2,60€ more and was quiet unfriendly about it.

17/03/2026: We were really looking forward to enjoying some great Irish food on St. Patrick’s Day, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We were seated quickly and placed our order for both appetizers and entrees right away. The appetizers came out promptly and were delicious, but after that, everything went downhill. We waited an extremely long time for our main meals, asking multiple times and speaking with several different staff members. Meanwhile, tables around us were seated, served, and finished their meals while we were still waiting. We were given several explanations, such as the kitchen being busy or delays due to ordering appetizers, but it became clear that our order had never been placed. After asking for help multiple times, another server finally stepped in and our food was eventually brought out. Very frustrating experience, especially on a day we were excited to celebrate.

11/04/2026: The food was tasty enough.... They didn't have what I wanted in the first place! Hygiene wasn't great ... They had dropped cutterly on the floor a few times and put it back in the basket to be reused. Quite a small place and felt cramped. Overall it was ok ....
