11/01/2026: Stopped here for our first real Irish breakfast.

25/11/2025: A fantastic little find. The cafe is at the top of the main street in Cong. The food, prices and service was second to none. We had the breakfast and it set us up for the day.

21/07/2025: Beautiful hotel. Spacious room, lovely setting. Easy check in. Friendly staff. Super clean, even the tv remote was in a plastic protector!! Used the leisure centre which was relaxing. Evening meal was gorgeous. Lovely spacious areas to sit and relax on all floors. Can not fault our stay.

21/07/2025: Beautiful hotel! The room was comfortable and clean, the staff was welcoming and very hospitable, and the food at the on-site restaurant was great. It is a bit isolated, but if you're staying for a night or two, it's absolutely perfect. Plus, many of the rooms have a balcony - a very nice touch!

13/09/2025: Unfortunately, it's closed, although Google shows it as open. Apparently, it's completely closed, not just closed for the winter (according to the landlady of PDans Pub).

09/01/2026: Outdated and overpriced. This hotel is not worth ‘4 stars’. In my opinion, they have some neck to charge customers their prices. The signal is nearly non-existent on the first floor. I wasn’t acknowledged by staff at the table during breakfast - you have to ask them to bring you toast, heat up croissants/scones etc and order coffee separately as it’s not accessible at the buffet, plus there’s a price menu to pay for coffee even though I already paid for breakfast included in my room rate. I could go on and on, like the steam room wasn’t working and the button to release bubbles into the jacuzzi wasn’t functioning properly. The food was bland and lifeless. The only benefits were the gym as the equipment was a decent standard and free on-site parking. Do yourself a favour and save your money for another hotel.

05/11/2025: Popped over from old blighty to catch up with my Dublin buddies. Great place to meeting and socialising. Beer and food was good and plentiful bit expensive though.

23/10/2025: I haven't been to Brady's since around 2019. However, I'm still writing a review for this place in 2024. Why? They have the best chicken wings I’ve ever eaten! I can't tell you in words how surreal the first night I had these chicken wings was. It was a late night in Ireland, my first time ever being in the country, and outside of the U.S. ever. Me and my family were staying in the area, and had seen good reviews so we decided to stop here after a long day of traveling. I was in a chicken mood for majority of the trip, so every restaurant we’d stopped at I decided to try their wings and see how they held up. The wings here were so much more than I’d been expecting. They were sweet and spicy, however they weren't overpowering and were just enough for me to finish all of them. The wings themselves were so fresh and crunchy as well! It may sound overexaggerated, but I really would fly all the way back to Ireland just to try them again. I’d also ordered some crispy duck as an entrée and it was delicious! So flavorful. As we were leaving, we also spent quite a while talking to our sweet waitress. This restaurant not only has great food, but great atmosphere as well. I encourage everyone in the area to try this restaurant if they already haven’t!

09/11/2025: Best breakfast and lunch by far to get in athenry. Quality is consistent you can tell the food is always fresh. Little to no wait on the food, excellent prices. Could not fault it.

26/08/2025: Best breakfast we have had in Ireland! Lovely cafe, very welcoming and friendly to both 2 and 4 legged guests. The breakfast was delicious and so big we don’t need to eat for the rest of the day. Really super cafe and highly recommended.

06/01/2026: I Don’t often write reviews, but this was so horrendous I had to. My husband and I went for dinner there over Christmas. We both ordered the seafood chowder for Main course. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted anything worse. There was no seafood in it. I tried the sauce, but couldn’t eat the gloppy lumps . I asked the waitress what they were she said she doesn’t know. She went and asked the chef, and I was told it was fake crabsticks. They Didn’t taste like crab sticks. They were slimy had the consistency of suet dumplings or gnocchi. We complained to the manager and said we didn’t want to pay for one of the chowders as I didn’t eat it. (We paid for starters, wine and 1 chowder) We were threatened with calling the police, she took my photograph and sent it to all the other pubs in the village and had the bouncers escort my husband and I out. I have never known this kind of behaviour before. It was like something from EastEnders. She looked and acted like Peggy Mitchell also! THE WORST PART, The following day we were driving home and a car was coming for us. It was the manager/ owner flashing her lights and frantically giving us the 2 fingers. I have honestly never seen such ignorant or rude behaviour!

02/01/2026: Fabulous experience today. The staff were fantastiv and went above and beyond. The food was outstanding. Been in the town for a few days and this venue was the best by far!

27/12/2025: Was having a quiet pint when the rude bartender kicked a poor man with learning difficulties out because he thought he was too drunk because he was taking his time reading then menu, don’t recommend and will never be back

27/12/2025: I have a reading difficulty and was reading the menu and they kicked me out because they thought I was too drunk. I tried to have a few drinks with my friends and was kicked out. Disgraceful staff.
