11/06/2025: I love Hunters Hotel, atmospheric, calm and peaceful, so rare to find that in a hotel today. The staff are wonderful, so friendly and helpful, the food is superb and the gardens a true oasis. What more can one ask for!

11/06/2025: Awesome pub. Been here a few times on the trip. I’ve seen it dog friendly and kid friendly during the day. Just a great place to grab a pint.

11/05/2025: Upstairs in Scott’s a chef was shouting abusively at the front of house team, could hear each word loud and clear several times from the other side of the restaurant. Chefs get a lot of slack cut for them but that wasn’t ok. What’s the line between that and workplace bullying? was angry on behalf of the front of house team, though they just got on and didn’t make any fuss out of it.

09/05/2025: Shocking customer service from blonde waitress with glasses.Have attended a few times with my Spanish friends and have repeatedly noticed an extremely rude attitude towards us from not allowing us to park outside to reserving big tables in order to prevent us from sitting there to hovering around our table while sitting having breakfast .. She does not seem to want our customery so will definitely not be back or recommend it to anyone .Place can be quite greasy and dirty

29/04/2025: We have been going to coffie delights for years as its only around the corner and Jimmy has always treated us very well with lollipops for the kids etc, hes a gentleman but his sister works there now and has zero personal skills and her attitude / the way she speaks to customers is disgraceful and bang out of order.

06/04/2025: Food is absolutely awful, overpriced, and totally bland. Upstairs badly needs a refurbishment and a lick of paint. Nice attentive staff but if you think the food is lovely here you must be used to eating rubbish at home.

05/05/2025: Beautiful interior, great atmosphere, the food was just ok, it came out cold and had to be sent back. We waited around 40 minutes for a soup and chowder, the cafe had no scones, very disorganised.

02/12/2024: Hands down the best restaurant in Kerry. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for good food and a great atmosphere. Desserts came on a trolley which I thought was a lovely touch. They even flamed the crème brûlée at the table! Very enjoyable overall, and the staff were fantastic!

03/11/2024: How absolutely delightful that this fabulous restaurant is now offering Sunday lunch. We had the most wonderful leisurely meal in gorgeous surroundings with efficient, friendly but non-intrusive service. Speaks for itself that there were so many locals enjoying a new addition to what is offered by this excellent establishment. We will definitely be back for more Sunday lunches. Be sure to book as I feel this is going to become a very popular option very quickly!!

19/05/2025: Reservamos para ir a tomar el té de la tarde en Catherine's Café. Llegué 10 minutos antes y nos dijeron que la cafetería estaba cerrando. La chica dijo que el jefe les dijo que cerraran temprano. Si hubiéramos llegado más tarde, si nos hubieran cerrado. No recibimos ninguna llamada telefónica o correo electrónico para avisarnos que estaban cerrando temprano. Nos dijeron que podíamos tener nuestro sándwich en la cafetería y luego llevar a casa los bollos y el pastel. Sin embargo, no quedaban bollos y cada uno de nosotros recibió un pedazo de esponja de manzana en su lugar. Como habíamos reservado para el té de la tarde, nuestros bollos deberían haber sido reservados para nosotros. Como sea, nos comimos nuestros bocadillos a toda prisa mientras el personal barría el piso a nuestro alrededor y nos llevamos nuestros pasteles a casa. Además de esto, el área del inodoro no estaba limpia. El suelo estaba sucio y el zócalo sucio. Una experiencia muy decepcionante y no volveremos.

And also because I nominated them for a wedding venue award, which took awhile. My wife and I had our wedding and reception here in October for about 30 people. The atmosphere was perfect - cozy and intimate but not overcrowded or stuffy. It felt comfortable and homey but not cheap. A quintessential country pub, with all the tradition that carries. The food was incredible (spit-roasted local lamb over an open hearth turf fire, anyone?), the photographer was great, and the music (both live and DJ) was sincerely amazing. Everything was included in the wedding package, even two nights at a stunning cottage overlooking the lough. But Naoise, the coordinator, truly sent it over the top. She was constantly available, proactively engaged, and just went miles above and beyond to remove the stress of planning a wedding from overseas. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. They made us feel somehow simultaneously celebrated and part of the community. It was a perfect wedding. Absolutely perfect. If you're looking for a genuine human experience from an alternative microwedding venue that boasts waterfront dining in a rural Gaeltacht community, this is your spot. We laughed, we cried, we danced, and we cannot stop talking about it. It might not be my home, but it now occupies a suspiciously home-shaped place in my heart. Naoise, we'll be back!

18/04/2025: First time for me , will definately be back. The Ribeye is an absolute delight, the best Steak i have ever had.Great food and the Guinness is top notch

17/04/2025: This restaurant is superb ,me and my family have been going here for years and it never disappoints. the customer service is amazing ,it’s a lot better than some of the higher end restaurants in the area, i would definitely recommend it’s the perfect spot for a gorgeous dinner. We had a lovely server called Robert.

12/05/2025: I used to love coming here but unfortunately the last few times the food quality has changed. I get the same thing on the menu each time I visit (vegetarian) the yoghurt was so sour it was inedible and everything was covered in it. The dish had changed completely,no sauce and the flat bread was overcooked and dry.

07/05/2025: Came here for brunch on our way to Wicklow. Had the turkish eggs and lamb special they had at the moment. Excellent food and service. Highly recomended.

25/05/2025: The place is lovely, it's modern but has character. The food could do with some review, felt it was very greasy spoon, like the type of food you get in your work office where it's not bad but also not amazing, but with a few tweaks it could be more upmarket.

12/05/2025: Edible, that's how you can describe it. It is one of the cheap food alternatives in Letterkenny but unfortunately also one of the worse. Some of the fries weren't quite cooked through and the fish was dry. The service was, to put it positively, unenthusiastic about his work…

23/04/2025: Best fish and salad dinner i can ever remember. All fresh ingredients. Fish was absolutely beautiful. Cooked to order, lightly battered. Staff were helpful and service was prompt and had little waiting time.

21/05/2025: I usually like to stop there and I was many times ,but this time I am giving the lowest possible review for food that was served to me fish chowder with literally two muscles inside and two tiny slices of bread .Please see yourself and let me know if anyone would pay 14 euro for this .Service is good ,the place is a nice and quiet location,but I suggest better caution with food since it's not important just visual ,Aldo portions are also small and tiny and there is no value in that meal at all . Disappointment today..Please see the attached photo of what I was served and what I got .I ordered fish chowder and one beer total cost of 21 euro and was left disappointed with the food completely .
