31/03/2026: Oh I'm going to really REALLY miss this place when I'll leave Dublin in a few days. Prices are indeed quite high but quality is awesome; I have tested their sandwiches, pastries, individual serves, etc. and never was disappointed. Staff is really nice too. I wish this place existed in my home country!

08/04/2026: It's ashame this pub is closing tonight because it is one of the nicest pubs in Cork City the food i had was perfect Heineken zero beautiful. Ok the service wasn't the best tonight but i guess that was to be expected with staff loosing there jobs. The pub was busy they were short staff. I really hope someone buys this pub. It has serious potential. Anytime i walked past this place it was busy it just needs to new ownership and management train new staff the food is perfect.

18/05/2026: when booking a night out.. music.. it states it starts at 8pm... the doors open at 9PM.. the band comes on at about 10.30pm... we went on a 50 km trip with bus home at 12.15 am. we had to leave early as it started so late... we will not be doing it again....

17/03/2026: We were really looking forward to enjoying some great Irish food on St. Patrick’s Day, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We were seated quickly and placed our order for both appetizers and entrees right away. The appetizers came out promptly and were delicious, but after that, everything went downhill. We waited an extremely long time for our main meals, asking multiple times and speaking with several different staff members. Meanwhile, tables around us were seated, served, and finished their meals while we were still waiting. We were given several explanations, such as the kitchen being busy or delays due to ordering appetizers, but it became clear that our order had never been placed. After asking for help multiple times, another server finally stepped in and our food was eventually brought out. Very frustrating experience, especially on a day we were excited to celebrate.

18/05/2026: Attended a communion event here, it was my first time being in this pub and it was very disappointing service. They clearly weren’t able to communicate between orders and kitchen staff to serve tables and having two communions on, There was no flow of orders half of our tables got starters and by the time they got there main we didn’t even get our starters, My partner actually had to get his starter and main brought out at the same time as he had to rush to work we got there at 1:30 he didn’t get his food til 2:45 and I didn’t get my main til 3:30 and my dessert til 4pm My starter of Brie wedges was actually nice and my dessert was lovely even doe I had to rush as I had to leave at 4pm The main dish of “roast of the day” beef dish was bland and half of our guests got Yorkshire puddings and others didn’t The veg wasn’t cooked properly and the mash wasn’t buttery and mashed properly Overall disappointing for a family event Manager was very concerned when we brought up the issues at the end and we did receive money off our meals These issue can be sorted with proper floor staff and kitchen staff communications and training.

20/02/2026: I came in here just few months ago just for few pints and I found the staff really nice there i have been to loads of pubs but this one was by far the most welcoming I've been to

25/03/2026: Carne is nothing short of the best course in the world imo. Also worth noting perhaps that golf is my life as a PGA pro and I've been fortunate to play most of the great courses in the world. Which should lend some credibility to this review. If your the soul searching golf type then Carne may just have the answers your looking for.

26/04/2026: Absolutely gorgeous thriving locally run café where the coffee is great and the cakes and buns are out of this world! We didn’t have breakfast here but the menu looked very good. I have to say in particular the staff were so lovely and kind. Would definitely be going back.

05/05/2026: Im guessing this is a fair review. Be careful might be closed. This pub was closed due to death by owner.... Bit of a sticky situation we were told. But the nearby gas station has beer.

01/12/2025: September 2025 Coziest pub in Ireland that we stumbled upon on our bike tour. The owner was amazing and let us pitch our tent in a field nearby for the night. Can also recommend the café in the same building.

19/04/2026: Lovely place for food. Good menu. I travel with a very fussy ex-chef but even he is impressed! Never had a bad meal there. Love the atmosphere and ambience too.

15/03/2026: The bar was really busy but we got a table with not much of a wait. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was delicious will definitely be returning. 👌

03/02/2026: There are some vacancies. The hot chocolate and cappuccino are good quality. The espresso is bitter, perhaps over-roasted. Overall, it's a good place to relax and grab a bite. Prices are average for the area.

02/02/2026: We ordered four different sandwiches and they were all so delicious. The Chai Latte and Cappuccino were great too. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans 😇
