28/12/2025: Visited for a couple of drinks. Bar staff very friendly and helpful. Front areas clean and tidy. Back areas bit rundown. Toilets need to be attended more often. Not good!

20/11/2025: Lovely place but breakfast wasn’t good at all a dirty looking fried egg bacon was rock hard beans very little it wasn’t good and I normally love coming here

Their toasted sandwich, chicken pesto sandwich and chips were all super delicious and extremely well priced. Highly recommend stopping in here if you're in Athlone and looking for a tasty and affordable meal.

23/07/2025: Food was great a d lovely staff. We had a restaurant voucher given to us for our 50th anniversary but it was not accepted on their system. We checked it on return home and there shouldn't have been a problem looks like it was on the restaurants system. A little disappointing as we checked before booking.

01/01/2026: Spent Friday night here with my brother (short business trip to Curry) - we had an evening meal and breakfast and both were very good; we also had a few beers in the bar - lovely staff and atmosphere (people seem very friendly around here). After checking out I realised i'd left my phone charger in the room, headed back late afternoon to check room and the staff had placed it in lost property - fantastic and thank you. We'll be back in the future

30/12/2025: Waiter came up to us as and told us it was closing in 10 mins so my girlfriend went to the bathroom quickly. In the mean time, another waiter came up to me and started going crazy about how I have to leave right now and how I should have left already, as if I were meant to grab her handbag and run outside, all while people were still laughing in the bar. Completely ruined the experience. Many locals I know hate him and have switched to the Bald Eagle. Unfriendly airport environment. Would recommend anyone I know not to go here, Bald Eagle has nice staff. You’ll know the staff member when he interacts with you and if he’s there, LEAVE!

07/11/2025: The Thai food takeaway is lovely however the portions have git smaller and the price higher so much so that we've just stop buying as it's not worth it. Can take a good while to collect after ordering too.

16/08/2025: Recently wandered in on a quiet Saturday afternoon after a long walk out from city centre and before returning back to Spain. I had the best turkey and ham dinner ever....it was like having my Christmas dinner early.....perfect in every way and served by a very professional server named Emma I think. Don't know when I'll be back...but I will....please don't change in the meantime. I also love their idea of Spanish Tapas.....next time eh!

28/11/2025: Stopped here for a meal, had fish n chips, and I must say they were absolutely gorgeous! Portions were big and fish was fresh. The server Max was really attractive and anticipated our needs with care when our daughter wasn't well. Max made us feel like in a 5 star restaurant! Deserves a pay rise!
