My Melody Bistro in Athlone

We stopped in here after leaving the iconic Sean's Bar. So glad we did! The grilled salmon was to die for! I had it with the white wine sauce. Delicious! My husband had the breaded cod. The fish was super tender and you could taste the fish. It wasn't overwhelmed by the breading. My sister-in-law had the ch8cken stir fry and literally there was nothing left on her plate! I would highly recommend this restaurant!

The services is excellent and the staff especially the young people serving are so friendly the food is lovely would recommend to everyone

Nice casual atmosphere and good service. Steak sandwich was satisfying, though I would have liked a bit more sauce. Fish and chips were spot on—crispy batter and flaky fish. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

We had an amazing dinner on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was beautifully prepared and decorated for the occasion, creating a lovely and romantic atmosphere. The service was excellent — attentive and professional — and the food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming place in Athlone town centre. We’ll definitely be back!
