23/02/2025: This place was vile the food moldy and it smells like a homeless haven but the style of building reminds me of my childhood would not recommend unless your going for a nostalgic experience

19/05/2025: We had something to eat here awhile back.It was dire.Id forgotten to review it and it was only when I read they refused service to a family who were at the pro Palestine demonstration and told them to go to Palestine that I remembered the place.

17/05/2025: We stayed here 3 nights on a tour and this room is the most disgusting dirty place I’ve ever stayed in! First of all the carpet is filthy with stains all over it, the bathroom floor after they came in and gave us clean towels had someone’s long black hair on the floor and when we first came in someone had took a piss in toilet with toilet paper in it and not flushed it so did they even clean it? Only one tiny bar of soap was there I had to go ask for more good thing we brought our own shampoo and conditioner they did not supply any and no Kleenex in room. We asked for a box of Kleenex the clerk said we don’t have any here use toilet paper! The sheets feel like 50 count they are itchy I hope the hell they are clean! The tv gets 5 channels . There is something outside that keeps running and banging every 3 minutes kept me awake most of the night! This hotel is so far away from everything only a gas station and laundry mat across road it takes 30 minutes in heat to walk to the town of Killarney. This morning we woke up to the piercing sound of fire alarm that kept going off for 20 minutes we ran downstairs there were people on this floor in wheelchairs that could not get down the stairs we found out when we got down there that someone using a hairdryer caused it to go off these hairdryer are so old I guess it almost caught on fire! 🔥 this hotel needs a serious remodel it’s old and dirty and the staff are not very friendly! The food is not very good either. I would not recommend this place! The view out our window is a dirty roof top with some rusty fan with bird poop everywhere and a wood and brick wall ugly yuk! If it wasn’t dark now I would add that photo. Oh and this place has no air conditioner this small fan is all we had .

06/06/2025: We had food there recently and it was amazing. The staff were so friendly, and there was a lovely atmosphere in the bar. We will definitely go back.

01/06/2025: Came back to the hotel at 11.20 and was told bar is closed. 200 euro a room and can't get a drink at 11.20!!! Would not recommend this place. Was also told to "keep it down" when we were in the bar watching the rugby!!!

14/05/2025: Lovely old style bar with great live music on Sundays. Covered outdoor area at the back and cosy corners behind the bar area. Always a lovely fire in the winter months.

11/05/2025: Dropped in for Sunday lunch; very efficient service & food was good… but tbh; damn expensive !.. Fish & Chips; Prawn (8 prawns) linguini; one dessert; 2 coffees and 1 pint… €75 yo yo’s (plus tip).. No wonder there were only 6 other folks dining.. Check the menu / prices before booking wud be my advice..

29/12/2024: We went to this restaurant on a busy Saturday - a party of 21 with no reservation. The staff quickly sorted us with tables and we enjoyed a delicious meal and drinks. Very friendly and attentive servers - thank you!

21/04/2025: Menu is simple but sometimes the simplest of experiences are the best. Wow, was it tasty and fresh. You simply have to have a hot ham and cheese croissant with relish and the warm ham and cheese scones ( yes scones) with relish as well. Desert wise the warm apple pie with ice cream, the moist carrot cake and the apple and cinnamon crumble were just delicious. Prices were reasonable and what a great environment, nestled in the Cobh heritage centre, near Cobh train station. Special thank you Donna and Ashley for looking after us.
