04/08/2025: The Gate is hands down my go-to spot whenever I’m in Navan. It’s the only place I trust for proper, freshly made food that hits the spot every time. The homemade soups are absolutely delicious, full of flavour and clearly made from scratch. I had the chicken Caesar salad on my last visit and it was perfect: crisp lettuce, juicy chicken, and the dressing was just right. Their wraps are always fresh and generously filled, you can really taste the quality. The service is super friendly and welcoming, which makes all the difference. You feel looked after from the moment you walk in. Whether you are popping in for a quick bite or sitting down for a relaxed lunch, The Gate always delivers. Can’t recommend it enough!

04/08/2025: We stopped into The Gate Restaurant in Navan as a family of four and were absolutely delighted with the experience. From start to finish, everything was spot on. We had two fresh scones to start, warm, buttery and just the right amount of crumbly. The full Irish breakfast was perfectly cooked and piping hot, the club sandwich was packed with flavour, and the fish and chips were fresh and flaky with a lovely crispy batter. The service was brilliant, friendly, quick and welcoming and the menu had loads of great options for everyone, which is no small thing when you're feeding a family! Plenty of choice, whether you're after a light bite or something more hearty. Coffee was also very good, rich, smooth and served nice and hot. We’ll definitely be back. A gem of a spot in Navan.

14/08/2025: Beautiful spot for food and everything else. Always loved calling here till this morning. Looking for a tip while paying by card after ordering at the counter for food with a tray. So disappointed with this setup. There is a no tip option but seriously....a tip after collecting your food and drinks yourself. Please remove this option. Lots of people beside me disappointed with this also. Thanks.

Dry dishes (fries and steak in the burger), bad tastes (lamb gnocchi that taste like canned ravioli), and a 10% tip is automatically charged even though it's not stipulated anywhere... Avoid: expensive (€75 for two for two dishes and a drink) and disgusting = scandalous I've never been so disappointed: thieves through lies and poor quality

27/04/2025: We decided we would like a bit of “irish” food, so decided to try the Dingle Pub. Everything was great!! We had a good yummy Shepherds Pie. Friendly staff and food service.

21/04/2025: The food was good and the atmosphere was incredible! The live, traditional music and dancer were a highlight of our entire 8-day trip!! We caught the music/dancing around 4pm. Do not miss this special experience if you spend any time in Dingle. Service was great at this family-owned pub.

27/07/2025: Lovely restaurant, travelled with friends for a funeral. Food was very fresh and the employees were very attentive in this very busy cafe. Loved the sourdough pesto, chicken and brie melt.

02/09/2025: We went for a weekly game night and had a brilliant time, plus the best burgers and chips. The gravy dip for the chips makes the entire dish.

07/09/2025: Great menu. A lot of it is spicy. Sweet potato fries and onion rings were delicious. Portions are huge, while desert portion was small.

21/08/2025: Spent two consecutive days in Bundoran. We had dinner both days and the full Irish breakfast on the second day. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient. And the price was great.

03/08/2025: Located in a historic building, the hotel offers spacious and comfortable rooms. The furnishings are obviously antique, but this adds to the place's charm. The hotel has a highly recommended restaurant serving excellent Irish cuisine.
