27/07/2026: The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were always warmly welcomed, which was a real plus! We ate there several times and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The dining room is comfortable with a wide selection, and the food is of very high quality. Honestly, I highly recommend it.

08/04/2026: It's ashame this pub is closing tonight because it is one of the nicest pubs in Cork City the food i had was perfect Heineken zero beautiful. Ok the service wasn't the best tonight but i guess that was to be expected with staff loosing there jobs. The pub was busy they were short staff. I really hope someone buys this pub. It has serious potential. Anytime i walked past this place it was busy it just needs to new ownership and management train new staff the food is perfect.

19/09/2026: Ideal for those on the Motorway. Located at the junction of the motorway and N83, formerly N17. Great for lunch or a quick snack. Free parking throughout the N17 Business Park. Very easy to find as it is clearly visible from the Motorway.

I came here with my bicycle and after asking where i could.park the bike safely they wven gave me the option of taking it intp my room . Also the adjacent bar serves very decent food at a reasonable price . Overall very pleasant experience to stay at the bailey .

We ordered: 🍅 Bruschetta 🍝 Baked Pasta (in tomato sauce) 🥣 Vegetable Soup 🍛 Vegetable Curry & Rice Every single item was absolutely delicious, freshly made, and served piping hot—which was an amazing bonus since it was raining heavily outside!

26/07/2026: Went here today for a bite to eat. It was absolutely delicious. Just had chicken wings and onion rings. plus its dog friendly and they have gluten free menu

22/06/2026: Pulled in here on a quiet Monday evening 22nd June. No waiting time for a table and food was out quick also. Well worth it. Food is good and service is quick and friendly. Bbq chicken wings for starters ( big portion) Steak sandwich for mains (Ciabatta) Pavlova for dessert Car park is massive could even hold trucks. Hard shoulder is big enough for trucks if they were just stopping for food. Plus there is a pitch next door with room For overnight parking outside it. All and all a great spot to stop. And truckers won’t lose much time waiting on food if there just there to eat. €45 serious value for money. ( 2 soft drinks included in that price also)

28/06/2026: There’s something almost disarming about this place. It has that distinctly Irish interior, but without the tired pub theatrics. Clean, orderly, respectable. The sort of room where tradition feels curated rather than performed. I started with the seafood chowder, and I’ll say this without exaggeration: it was exceptional. Incredibly fresh, rich without being heavy, and easily the best fish soup I’ve had. A rare display of restraint and precision in a country that often confuses abundance with refinement. For the main course, I had the traditional Irish lamb stew. Solid. Comforting. Exactly what it should be. Tender meat, deep flavor, no unnecessary innovation. The Guinness was served properly. Cold, smooth, almost clinically refreshing. I remembered hearing that in Ireland they used to give it away after blood donations. Charming, in a vaguely medieval way. On my way to the restroom, I noticed a stage tucked away in the back. A subtle promise of Irish folk music, perhaps. Enough to justify another visit. Not for nostalgia. For observation.

13/09/2026: Okay guys, this is for the Americans or those who are used to American food. I ordered the soup of the day, which happened to be mushroom and I got the wings. I say Americans because we are serious about our wings. So I’ll start with presentation. I ordered the SMALL portion with hot sauce. The hot sauce is buffalo for those of you who wonder! The wings are small. There’s no way about it, probably because they don’t inject their chickens with a bunch of steroids. The small portion came with 10 wings which is reasonable. I was expecting 5, so it’s a win in my book. The spice is mild to ME, but I’m from Texas. However the flavor IS THERE! The skin.. y’all, these are crispy! They can make a wing! However the mix of drums and flats is not even. I got mostly flats, which happens to be my favorite; so again a win for me!!! Now for the cons, like I’ve mention they are small, but they make up for it by giving you more wings that you thought you’d get! Also if you’re a ranch person… sorry but they don’t have it. Also, if you’re a blue cheese person… I don’t know what I got but, that wasn’t what I was hoping to get. However, the flavor and crisp of the wings made up for those small cons in my book. So if you’re wanting wings and can eat them without ranch, get them!!!! Also the price is the best price around town! WORTH IT, and it will satisfy that craving! This is for the girlies. The soup and small portion of the wings are a perfect girl size dinner! Their mushroom soup was good, however big taste of parsley, so if you hate parsley skip the mushroom soup. 01/04/2026: Delicious vegetarian dishes, a spectacular flat white, friendly people, and it would have been worth stopping here just for the excellent flapjack. Lovely, highly recommended, and a bit off the beaten track from Galway's tourist hotspots in the Latin Quarter!

15/08/2026: I Booked Jalan Jalan for Saturday night at 7 for two and was given a lovely seat at the window, when we sat down to read the menu we were spoilt for choices so we ended on duck rolls and California maki to start and had Singapore noodles and duck soup noodles for main and from start to finish everything was delicious and the service was fabulous. Definitely recommend and will hopefully make a trip back to Athlone to try again

28/06/2026: I came here because it was highly recommended, unfortunately the service was terrible. We waited at the door no one greeted us, another server didn’t even tell us the specials. However the waiter who was a women was very kind such a shame that the other two waiters ruined my experience.

29/05/2026: Went for an evening meal. Food was average. Service was transactional with serving staff not engaging or particularly interested in their customers. It may help if a singular member of staff were allocated to a certain set of tables to try to create some connection. We got a different person at each stage of the meal. We didn't leave a tip...

06/09/2026: Great portions of chips- sausages, battered sausages and nuggets all yummy. The goujons are breaded not battered which was unexpected but standard x quick service as ordered online and was ready in 10 minutes from ordering as it had stated

23/08/2026: I went to Marina Market Eco two days ago. I ordered cheese curry chips and the cheese smelled and tasted absolutely disgusting, like it was gone off.When I complained, the staff member was rude and replaced the food, but I was completely put off eating it and couldn’t finish it.I’m very disappointed that food like this was served, I want to raise awareness to the issue so other people don't have this awful experience

05/08/2026: The service was 4/5 👍. Unfortunately, twice we were served food that belonged to another table, but I understand that mistakes happen, and it was actually quite funny. Unfortunately, my burger was very dry and in places badly burnt, which made it taste bitter. Even worse, my daughter's chicken sandwich contained a bone! Thankfully, it didn't end with a broken tooth.
