Great food, friendly staff. Docked a star because they put us (group of 7) at a table that could just about fit 6. All the while there was free space the whole time we were there that could easily have seated 8. There was no "reserved" sign up so no idea why we couldn't use it.

A cracking pub right in the middle of Rathfarnham village. They recently introduced a fantastic new brunch menu which is certainly 5 star in quality but very easy on your wallet. If you're in the area do yourself a favour drop in and enjoy all it has to offer, you won't be disappointed.

We had a 70th Birthday Party & this venue deserves 100% for everything that made the party so special. The food was fantastic & served beautifully. Paul & staff were fantastic to deal with & I would highly recommend this venue for any function or party celebration. Gail - Dec 2023.

The Oval

04/04/2024: Had some regular and alcohol free Guinness here. The atmosphere was calm and silent, unlike other Irish pubs I've been to. Drinks were refreshing and tasty. The bartender was very polite and cheerful. Overall, satisfied.
03/04/2024: This pub is lively and the staff are quite lovely.
