25/06/2026: We had some trout and soup and it was delicious! The decor is giving family restaurant with big screens to watch the football, which is not my style at all, but the food was absolutely delicious. The soda bread in particular was phenomenal! And the staff were really nice and lovely. It was reasonably priced and really good quality.

12/07/2026: I never expected to leave a bad review to Kate’s but I have to be honest about my experience. I have lived in Sligo for 3 years and I work nonstop and am always really busy. So if I find some time to pop into Kate’s Kitchen to grab a cup of coffee, a delicious premade wrap or yogurt, and browse around I’m usually delighted to do so. Although, every time I have ordered my regular flat white with oat milk I’m having to wait for my coffee longer than the people who ordered after me and every time I gave my name and spelled it and the barista pronounces wrong. Usually when people pronounce my name wrong it doesn’t bother me but if people are getting their orders before me when I have ordered and paid for my order before them it is extremely annoying. I popped in yesterday to order my regular coffee and said my name is spelled “Zo” and when the male barista with glasses called out my order he read it, rolled his eyes and called for “Zoey”. You can say this was the last annoying thing I can actually take from this place cause I hoped my experience would get better each time but it didn’t. As much as I used to like going to Kate’s I think I have to stop going as I am tired of coming here thinking it’s a treat for myself and being treated like a subpar customer every time. And for 3 years this has been my experience.

18/07/2026: For me, this is the no 1 thing to do in Dublin. 5 o’clock tea in perfection. Location, service, food, tea - even the restrooms: 10/10. Thanks Róisín for making this a memorable event!

24/05/2026: We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea here with family! The service was fabulous, as was the atmosphere. The sweets were especially delicious, and we also really enjoyed the scones/banana bread.

30/05/2026: It was a delicious meal with excellent service. They accommodated us when fully booked and I'm so delighted they did. The goats cheese salad and roast cod were amazing. An Eton mess to top off an amazing meal. 👏

19/05/2026: A lovely restaurant in the square in Rosscarbery just beside an equally nice pub, Nolan’s. This family run restaurant serves excellent food and with great service and a lovely atmosphere. We had a reservation for Saturday evening. The Dover sole was excellent as was the Cod with muscle sauce (also many muscles). Will have to return soon.

11/07/2026: First time trying it out since the lovely bohills left....so so disappointing. One of 2 food tables on the go...im a chef hes a barman/waitress all his life looking for a quick bite to eat when we had no kids . menu well presented but the same ding dong that was on it 20 years ago unfortunately with 1 or 2 extras . First of all the place needs a good clean like a really good clean . Dust all over the hanging decor and food dropping all over the floor that the flies were enjoying . 3 men behind the bar 10 customers throughout so no excuse. I ordered veggie burger my first mistake and he ordered lasagna. Order came wrong chicken burger and veggie burger then we were told lasagna ready just gonna be another 4minutes. Chef mickey did exactly what we expected and the cheese was soggy instead of crisp. Veggie burger and chips under cooked, garlic bread with the lasagna was a slice of bread again disappointing surely yee can do better than that lads. Veggie burger was so undercooked it just fell apart the cheapest of the cheap cheap frozen veggie burgers try the "big al" brand at least they have a bit of flavour and crisp to them. Honestly feel like we wasted money and our alone time and wouldnt be in any kind of rush to go back again so so disappointing 😕 Huge potential just not being utilised 🤷‍♀️

19/06/2026: Have been there multiple times. Have found the staff very friendly and efficient. Love the carvery. The chief is very friendly. Loads of parking and plenty of room for big busses.

12/07/2026: My experience with the food was great, however the person who served us was extremely rude. We opened the parasol and he asked us to close it because of the wind, which was fine. However, we explained that I couldn't talk to my friend because she was in front of me, and an employee went and removed it. Then this older man came to our table and said we couldn't remove it... we explained the situation and he rudely said we couldn't and angrily put the parasol back. It was ridiculous!

05/07/2026: Small group of people celebrating a birthday over the weekend. All the young waiters they have currently are total disgrace. Forgotten drinks (multiple times) ordered food and when asked few questions about the dishes they get stressed and upset about it. Not one single time were asked if we needed anything during dinner. At some stage one of the girls just brings the bill over to one of the guests in our group and stands beside her and made her feel totally uncomfortable. At this stage we never got a chance to even order dessert nor we were asked if we need anything else from the kitchen as it was 9:15 Asked if we can get any dessert whatsoever and were told NO That’s not a problem as our bad for not keeping an eye on time but we left over €400 bill that evening and left disappointed by the service received.

31/05/2026: another visit to Murphys, what can we say, but the food was excellent without fail, very reasonably priced for top quality food. The staff are also so helpful and friendly, shout out to Nick who is always so polite and on. the ball with table service. do not pass this little gem by folks. 10/10.

15/07/2026: Fish was soggy and greasy. Still ate it because I was starving. The chips were good. Bartenders and servers were very nice and friendly. Saw some of the other patrons food and it looked good just wouldn't get the fish. After reading some of the reviews for this place we definitely got the impression that the bouncers are racist. I don't get down with that. Will not be returning as I do not support racist establishments.

17/06/2026: Zero stars if I could!!! I ordered through deliveroo and the pasta - which did not have cheese on the ingredients list!! - came with cheese on it. The restaurant was not willing to help solve the matter at all! So I ended up paying twice! Even more with the service fee! Unbelievable! Never ever order food here! And the restaurant is responsible for the ingredients listed on the deliveroo Website!

21/07/2026: Not a great experience personally I think our group were all not impressed by the service (left waiting over 20 minutes for drinks) (over 1 and a half hours for the food we ordered) and when the food eventually came out it was very unpleasant, I can't say it was inedible, just very lacking in taste. Menu wasn't great either not much selection. We were so disappointed that it would put us off giving O'Dwyers a second chance because I do know restaurants and pub grub can have "off days" So in my personal opinion I would steer clear

10/06/2026: Typical Irish pub atmosphere, very welcoming service, good traditional and homemade food. We recommend it!!

08/06/2026: Have been here many times, but not since the new people took it over. Decided to call in. On entering nothing has changed. So got the same, usual welcoming feeling. A great atmosphere. In the past have seen people watching sports on TV, didn't notice this time, which in one way was a bit easier to talk. Big premises. Very deceiving from the road, much bigger inside. Anyway the food is beautiful still the same great choices. Staff very efficient. Parking on the road. We still haven't managed to stay here yet so will have to sometime in the future, so look forward to that. Good value. Call in you won't be disappointed.

28/10/2025: Very nice menu, food was absolutely beautiful, service was 1st class very polite very attentive. Was just passing by but will be definitely back. Nothing to fault!
