Springfield Hotel
17/03/2025: Celebrated a family birthday in the Springfield. The Sunday lunch food that others got seemed good, but two of us got fish and I have to say it was the worst fish I have ever been served anywhere. I told the waiter when he was collecting the plates, with the fish still on them, and half expected someone to come to apologise, but no.
Probably cooked for the day before and reheated. The result was rubber. Not acceptable.
25/02/2025: I have been going to the Springfield for years and Caroline Hannon has always looked after me so well.
Very good attentive service and always with a warm greeting and a smile.
Some of the other staff would not be of the same quality in my experience.

Highlands Hotel
Glenties
04/04/2025: Stoped on route from letterkenny to killybegs on a Thursday evening at 6.00pm. Couldn’t get over how busy the hotel was.
I had a fab chicken Maryland , a dish that is making a welcome come back. That come back is now, this hotel does it with perfection. My partner opted for the vegan burger and to be honest there are better ones out there but they have assured us they plan to make their own as from next week. We will be back to check.
Great clean hotel , staff were tuned in and switched on. Definitely worth a visit.
03/03/2025: We went for my mothers birthday dinner today. Staff are so polite and helpful, even lighting the fire for my folks. Food was 10/10 . Steak was cooked to perfection. And very reasonable price. Loved the hotel/restaurant.

Pig's Ear
Dublin
19/03/2025: The appetizers and main course were really delicious.
The desserts were not very tasty and came out like vomit.
The service was good, I recommend it.
19/03/2025: We had very enjoyable and extremely tasty meal at The Pig’s Ear. The menu is a real adventure with our favourites being the Lamb Barnsley Chops, the Jammet’s Mixed Grill, the Bitterballen and the Violets & Roses Blancmange. All with a modern twist but the bones are very Irish. Service and chats were great, glasses of wine generous, and a wonderful window view to boot.

O'Reilly's Bar & Kitchen
Galway
01/04/2025: We visited O’Reilly’s Bar and Kitchen with a larger group and had a good time overall. The atmosphere was great, and we really enjoyed the lively vibe.
Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow, and we had to wait quite a while for our drinks on several occasions. However, the food made up for it! The Fish and Chips were absolutely amazing – definitely a must-try!
Despite the slower service, we still had a great evening and would recommend the pub, especially for the delicious food. We’ll likely give it another chance!
22/03/2025: Very nice bar and restaurant. Staff were so nice and the are pet friendly which is wonderful as we had our jack russell terrier with us on both occasions we stopped in for food and drinks

Angler's Rest
Ballyconnell
04/04/2025: 10/10 food, huge portions. Chicken burger tastes like a KFC burger but 100x better. Good quality ingredients, well seasoned and excellent staff.
30/03/2025: Went there for Sunday lunch on Mother’s Day and food was excellent and very well priced.

Clybaun hotel
Galway
07/04/2025: A perfect place for both business and private stays
10/03/2025: I have to say this is a wonderful hotel. I only live down the road, but had to stay during a blackout and the rooms were lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely too, plenty of choice. Recently I've attended a function and the food was wonderful. Also I've been in the meeting rooms and they are bright and airy. All in all a super hotel, great food, staff and decor. Thumbs up from me!

The Coach House
Roundwood
06/04/2025: At lunch outside. Very decent spot. The menu does feel like they added a load of French words just to justify the very high prices. The cheeseburger was ok. Its "fancy word" was Wagu but it wasn't far off any other mid quality burger for me.
The chips were perfect. Great Guinness. The outdoor area was very noisy with the extractor fan on since they were BBQing things that day. Ruined the outdoor chill vibe a touch. The service was top notch, they add a 12.5% service charge so we didn't have to tip but worth noting they add it to the bill.
30/03/2025: We stayed here for a night just after Christmas December 2024. We were doing a hike in glendalough and had been here for lunch before and thought it seemed like a nice place to stay. Really very disappointed by the experience.
First of all they only had a lunch menu available for dinner and they closed the kitchen at 8pm. They never told us this when we booked. We didn't fancy eating lunch for dinner so we ordered the most dinner like thing on the menu which was a steak which cost €40! Then, after the dinner was over we did get to relax by the fire for a little bit which was lovely but they kicked us out by 9pm and we had nowhere to go but our tiny room! It was so disappointing l
No residence bar. No nothing. They didn't even tell us the code for the door to get out. We wandered though the town in search of a pint but it was grim so we just went back to the hotel. The staff were still there chatting so we asked if we could have one drink but the womab said no! So we just went back to our tiny bedroom and went to sleep by 10pm. Then we were woken up by someone coming in at 4am (the walls are like paper you can hear everything). It seemed to be the guy who works there and lives there (he must have found somewhere to )!
The next morning the breakfast in the cafe adjacent was nice but the room was absolutely freezing.
Definitely not worth €225 a night to eat lunch for dinner, no residents bar and an absolutely tiny room with paper thin walls. Would not recommend and would not come back.

Puddleducks Café
Conga
01/04/2025: Got the warm smoked salmon salad and it was hands down the nicest salmon salad iv ever had. My aunt had a spicy chicken wrap and there wasn't a bit of food left between us.
24/03/2025: Absolutly lovely place. Really lovely atmosphere, great food, good coffee and the staff were lovely and attentive. Definitely recommend.

01/04/2025: I recently had a quick visit to the hotel for a drink to be greated by a friendly face her name was debbie all the staff where phenomenal but by far she stood out the most with her bar skills and manor I'd highly recommend visiting for a drink as the warmth and friendly ness amongst staff would make you enjoy a quiet drink 🙌🙌🙌
