04/04/2024: This is a review for the restaurant, not the hotel. Very good restaurant, atmosphere is cosy and staff is friendly. Bathrooms were clean and verbena soaps are a nice touch. They have parking in the back, which is also convenient. A bit pricier than stated in their website, but the food is so delicious, it's worth the visit. The filet is well seasoned, crunchy fries and creamy sauce. Apple crumble is the perfect decadent finish to a lovely lunch. I recommend.

We had an unforgettable birthday party experience from start to finish. We sailed through the Grand Canal and watched the crew manually open the locks. The food was delicious and the service went above and beyond. We would like to thank Beatriz and Nicole for their exceptional service, friendliness, and positive attitude. Gorgeous experience!!!
25/03/2024: Nicole and the team on the canal boat restaurant were absolutely fantastic! We had such a fun time for my sister's hen party. The staff went above and beyond, created the perfect atmosphere for everyone and made us feel like VIPs! Loved it!

04/04/2024: Went there on st patricks day. Staff were lovely and helpful getting us seating.they had a few different groups playing music and there was a great atmosphere to the place.we didn't have food so I can't comment on it.pints of Guinness were gorgeous.
24/01/2024: A cozy little bar where you can relax. Snack on a few small snacks in between. Simply great. But the best thing was that the owner spoke German. So we had a little chat, including suggestions about what else we could see. Great. If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to come by.

01/01/2024: Just left An Sugan, on entering the premises I approached the bar to order some drinks we were advised to sit at a table. When the server approached us at the table I asked for a coffee and a ballygowan and was advised that my order couldn’t be taken as space was limited. There were 6 other people on the premises. I think if a bar does not want to serve drink unless you are having food maybe a notice on the door would be useful. Shocking customer service, to be dismissed in the manner that we were

09/01/2024: Had an incredible meal at West to celebrate a birthday. The service and food were exceptional. And above that, the staff have clearly put a lot of effort into making this more of an experience than just a meal. Lots of dishes, tasters and plenty of theatre to go along with it. Thought it was exceptional value for the quality of the meal. I also stayed in Twelve which I would highly recommend. If looking for a break and a meal than I couldn't recommend West highly enough.
05/11/2023: As a Spanish person I’m quite picky with food and I have to say that We had an Amazing experience! We will definitely come back. Food was just delicious. The flavours in every dish were incredible. We were celebrating a birthday and they made our experience unique. I would 100% recommend WEST restaurant in the twelve.

13/01/2024: It's an ok cafe. Toilets havent changed in years ! I had coffee and fruit scone, which was fast approaching it's "sell by" date. If I had it warmed, would have appeared "fresh". Would I go back, yeah but since I know theres better just across the border in Strabane, I would most likely drive on to Strabane.

27/01/2024: Down from Dublin and staying the night in Thurles as meeting friends. Booked in here for early bird. Pleasantly surprised as how nice is is! The food, quality of service and overall ambiance was top notch! We ordered the fish special which was incredible. One big winner for me was the little jugs of codial for the kids. Absolute winner! Staff were suburb. Highly recommend!!

04/03/2024: Nice place. However it was massively over priced. Over €50 for 2 x Fish/Chips & peas (gourmet style) but just tasted the same
