02/07/2026: another atmospheric pub in Cahir

20/06/2026: Terrible service. We were seated outside and given menus. But after waiting more than 20 minutes, no one came to take our order. We eventually got up and left. Needless to say, we won't be returning!

08/06/2026: Just to be clear, this is a nightclub with a hotel side hustle. We were greeted by a bouncer that asked us if we were “in the right area?”The entrance is in the nightclub vestibule, so we naturally looked out of place. After we clarified that we were staying at the hotel, he let us in. We then proceeded to be told by the Manager that our reservation did not exist, and that we could not be staying at the hotel because the entire hotel was closed due to renovations. I proceeded to show the manager our booking, confirmation, and our prepaid €800 bill. After this irrefutable evidence that we had booked a room months in advance, he then randomly “found” a room for us and let us through. Upon settling in our rooms we realized that there were no renovations at all, as well as other guests at the hotel. Our friends waited hours for extra sheets, neither of our rooms had coffee pods for the coffee machines in the room, and ours had a used pod in the machine. Coming back a day later from being out and about in Dublin our room keys no longer worked. The manager lied directly to our faces, for that sole reason I would not stay here under any circumstance.

15/05/2026: Went for a proper Irish breakfast and it dud not disappoint. Great atmosphere for a quiet coffee too.

18/05/2026: Had a lunch here after cycling the Monasteries of the Moy. Fish & chips with a bottle of Bulmers. Nice and quick service.

23/06/2026: We got married here a few weeks ago I have to say the staff are absolutely brilliant 👏 they went above and beyond for us what an experience what a venue 👏 id highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking into getting married in cant fault it i wouldn't change a thing about the experience. 10/05/2026: The hotel is a 30-minute drive from the airport. A great pub is a 10-minute walk down the road.

24/06/2026: Not nearly as good as it used to be. Ordered a glass of fresh orange juice and was presented with very watery overly sugary cheap ''juice''. It tasted like orange cordial. Asked the very young waitress if it was actually orange juice and she replied in a very miserable manner ''that's apple juice.'' then she realised it was in fact the ''orange'' juice they sell and it had come straight from a carton. I'd never even seen the brand they're using before. Food was very average, lacking in flavour and finesse. Portion sizes have been very pared back - and the prices have risen a lot. The same waitress kept ignoring us every time we tried to catch her eye - she saw us gesturing and just avoided eye contact. We saw another customer repeatedly ask for service only to be ignored. The barista was also ignoring customers. With so many other great eateries in Bantry on offer, De Barras simply isn't in the same league anymore. It used to be our favourite place to eat before they closed & reopened. Such a shame.

04/06/2026: We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and tried the restaurant the first night and decided to eat there every night thereafter. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The desserts were exceptional! The staff was very busy and one night they seemed short-handed but were always pleasant.

02/06/2026: Great meal in a wonderful location, overlooking the lake and mountains. Staff were extremely attentive, the food was lovely and very good value for money. Recommended.

07/05/2026: Pretty hotel in the heart of Dingle. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, but the desk clerk said she’d have someone bring our bags up. When she couldn’t find someone promptly, she carried them up herself. Great service! Our room had a beautiful 4 poster bed and fireplace. We ate in their award winning dining room and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and engaging. My husband had the best lamb he’s ever eaten, and my fish and chips was the best of the trip. Wonderful stay.

06/05/2026: Benners Hotel – Tralee 🏨🇮🇪 The stay was okay 🙂 – nothing spectacular, but not a complete disaster either. The room had a strange window 🪟🤔, and the exhaust fan unfortunately didn't work 🌬️🚫 – that definitely needs improvement. What was really positive, though, was the staff's friendliness and warmth 😊🙌. We felt welcome from the start, which made the stay much more pleasant ❤️. Overall, a solid experience with a few minor flaws – hence 3 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️.

22/02/2026: Lovely affordable bed and breakfast,spacious rooms for families. Rooms were very clean,free WiFi and fabulous breakfast.

09/07/2026: There were more flies than patrons. My boyfriend and I were sat and the waitress took our order with an awful dismissive attitude. Another table of 4 came in after we ordered and received their food first. Waited an additional 30 minutes after our plates were cleared to receive the bill, and still had to ask and wait for the bill. Only 2 tables in the whole place. Food was mediocre at best. Service was just off the charts terrible. 4 waitresses all standing around.

01/07/2026: The lunch menu is exquisite and good value. The staff is very attentive and polite.

11/04/2026: Had a lovely experience in the gate today!! The women who greeted me were so lovely and really made my experience 10x better. The food being great was a huge plus as well !! Definitely recommend.

10/06/2026: Everything is fine here except for the noise. The music playing downstairs is crystal clear, and cars are constantly passing by on the main road next door – the traffic noise is absolutely terrifying. I asked to change rooms but they refused… speechless.

28/06/2026: Live music was amazing, love that we got two ABBA songs back to back by request. The flag decor was top notch and festive!

03/07/2026: I was promised this would be the best fry I’d ever have, and it absolutely delivered. Everything was cooked perfectly, fresh, and packed with flavour. You can tell they really care about the quality of the food. What made the experience even better was how friendly everyone was. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and even the locals made the place feel warm and inviting. If you’re anywhere near the area, I’d highly recommend stopping in. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, and genuinely lovely people. I’d recommend it to anyone!
