06/07/2025: It is what it is. Has not changed in years which is great as your guaranteed to be wwll fed and watered. The seats are a bit tightly compacted for let's say a private chatter, but I still love it as it is

11/06/2025: I always struggle to order here as everything is delicious. Chose the dish al forno today and it was heavenly. Can't fault it.

27/09/2025: Go to Carne. Play both routings. Have a few pints on the porch over looking the dunes. Stay in Bellemullet and go to McDonnels. No Irish golf trip is complete without this spiritual links experience. The hospitality and conditioning were top notch. The links are wild running through dramatic dune land with ocean and farm views all around. If you love golf you simply must go to experience this magical place. Words will not do it justice. Special thanks to Jamie R., the international member who guided me around for the day. Great ambassador for Carne.

S pictures are from DADA’s restaurant who provided an amazing service after being disappointed by Alfie’s** -At Alfie’s, we had the worst service from supposed manager Johnathan, Carlos and Simon. Visited for a pre-booked birthday with my parents, siblings and some friends. This was one the worst service I’ve ever experienced. On booking, we had informed them that we needed a long booking. We were not informed that the booking was just for two hours. Booked for 7pm on a Saturday. Deposit and all paid. -Arrived with a party of about 20 plus guests, guests arrived from 6:30 pm, were ordering drinks. Food Menus were not brought to the table guests who arrived from 7 onwards. Around 8pm, waiters started rushing guests to order food because they had another reservation in the area at 9pm. Reservations team never informed us that the booking was only for two hours. We were under the impression that we had booked ‘till late’’. We were rushed to order food which everyone did. -We were being served by the upstairs manager Carlos or Jonathan who was extremely rude to guests, poor body language, rolling his eyes at customers. They eventually took everyone’s food order by 8.20 pm and a few moments later, we were informed that they had cancelled everyone’s food order at the discretion of the upstairs manager Carlos because he was asked by one of our guests why he was being so rude to us. We asked severally why our food order was cancelled but no one gave us any answers. Carlos disappeared and was no where to be found after asking several waiters and manager Simon. No one knew his location. The downstairs manager Simon was asked to get Carlos to speak to us and explain why the food order for over 20 people was cancelled. He ignored us repeatedly and could not provide any resolution. There was a language barrier with communicating with Simon as all he did was shrug his shoulders and saying he does not know and was unable to provide any answers or the irrelevant person responsible for cancelling everyone’s food order. We even tried to ask other waiters of Carlos’s/Johnathan’s whereabouts,they obviously had no conscience or mind of their own because manager Simon pointed fingers at one of the waiters and said ‘do your job!’ In such a rude manner even I couldn’t believe how he was speaking to his own staff in front of customers. -Carlos went into hiding and was not seen again during the night. As managers, they collectively have no people management skills. Almost ruined our night but we took ourselves to another nearby Moroccan restaurant called ‘DADA’ nearby who were able to manage a big group effectively and had the most amazing time at Dada’s for my sister’s birthday. P.S pictures are from Dada’s as I can’t sing enough praise of how amazing the food and service was at Dada’s. Service was super quick, waiters were attentive and friendly, more space (Alfie’s was like being inside a tin of sardines) they even sang happy birthday and gave the birthday girl a complimentary cheese cake at DADA’s. I would highly recommend DADA’s

22/09/2025: On Saturday evening I went there and had a wonderful experience. The food, drinks, and service were excellent, especially Manager Simon, who was very warm and welcoming.

07/08/2025: Arrived at 1:15 and had the place to ourselves. Best oysters we have had in Ireland, and that's high praise. Food was delicious, our server, John, was excellent, and cannot recommend highly enough.

05/08/2025: Absolutely terrific service and fabulous food. Good value too. Don't miss a meal here when visiting Killarney. The fish is first class and so fresh.

11/07/2025: I have been going to Susie since it was in Charlestown . I’d come in with my colleagues almost every Friday since it was literally a block away from our office. Their location in Charlestown has been replaced with a new café that does not compare to Susie‘s at all! Susie’s bistro never disappoints 🙌🏼🙌🏼 from the dishes they serve to the friendly service I always leave knowing I’ll be back. Even with Suzie’s Bistro changing locations from Charlestown to the Tubbecurry Golf Course the food and service has never changed😊 Still, everyone is friendly and welcoming. The new location is spacious and most of the time their tables are reserved. Thankfully, last time I came on a Friday with one of my colleagues there was a two seat table available for us. The amount of food that I had lasted me all day. It was a perfect meal. And of course, I will definitely be back in the future 🤤

19/09/2025: This is truly a hidden gem, minutes from city centre that provides accommodations, but also excellent food!! Staff were ALL friendly and helpful, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere 5/5 Definitely recommend this gem!!!

10/09/2025: We were in Dingle on a Monday, when many restaurants were closed. I read about best fish n chips & I have to wonder, where these people have eaten before. WE found the portions thin & somewhat greasy - again this IS only our opinion. Also found that for 2 orders, a SMALL side of coleslaw, a small beer N a 100ml bottle of wine for Mrs. A, that $90+ CAD a little steep. As the menu pricing is a chalk board it may well be due to the limited options that day (just my thoughts) Anyway Dingle is a MUST DO - IF you find yourselves in this part of the country - SPA007

22/10/2025: Excellent service, friendly and attentive. Food and cocktails were great. Perfect for a pre- theatre dinner. Nice atmosphere.

29/09/2025: The hotel has a great location and a rustic feel. Unfortunately, it's quite dated and rather noisy. However, the breakfast was delicious.

11/09/2025: Very old room that needs renovations. Elevator didn't work on main floor. Beds very comfortable. Windows had bird poop all over them. Tub very dangerous to get in/out, so that meant no showering. Quiet room. Way overpriced and definitely not 4 or 5 stars. Jude very welcoming upon arrival, but, paying up front not ok. Breakfast was fantastic!

16/08/2025: We visited Scariff for the first time ever of holidaying on a river cruiser. We visited the town and walked past this pub so decided to stop for a couple of drinks. While there the staff and locals were friendly and a family was having lunch which smelled amazing, so we decided to book an evening meal. We arrived about 7pm and ordered drinks. I had a Madri and my wife half a Guinness. Not being used to it, we had to wait a few minutes for the Guinness. The barman explained why. We ordered food, both having soup of the day and pork lion with extra gravy. The food was excellent. I loved tbe fact they asked us to let them know when we wanted the main course, so it wasn't a case of rushing us to eat and vacate the table. I'd highly recommend this pub. Food, drinks, staff, all excellent and to cap it off, the locals were friendly and happily chatted with us. We had a really nice time and enjoyed it so much as we stayed in Scariff we booked in for a an evening meal the next day.

23/08/2025: Fantástico lugar. Gran lugar antes del partido. El personal trabajó sus traseros para asegurarse de que todos estuvieran bien hidratados y tuvieran las bebidas que querían. Hicieron un esfuerzo adicional para conseguir bebidas de donde pudieron. ¡Lo disfruté tanto!

07/09/2025: I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable and the “double” bed was two twins pushed together. The staff was very unfriendly as well.

31/10/2024: Nice food but don’t believe the out of date menu prices on the website. Manager laughed when I pointed it out and apologised they were too busy to update the website!
