Man O'War Traditional Irish Bar & Restaurant
24/07/2025: We haven’t been there in over 20 yrs. Myself, my husband and mother (her 87th birthday) visited today for lunch. Such a lovely place, with excellent food and such warm and welcoming staff. The food was tasty and generous in portions. Won’t be 20 yrs till we are back again. Highly recommend.
18/07/2025: Just bye chance called in today Food 10 out 10 ,very friendly staff and reasonably priced excellent food, plenty off car parking space

14/07/2025: Went here for dinner yesterday evening with my husband and daughter, very disappointed with the quality of food for the price of the meal, my husband had the hake and I had the cod, I had to send mine back as it came out barely warm and it wasn't much better the second time, so we both got a small tasteless pieces of fish, definitely no where near value for money

06/08/2025: Stayed here last night and it was exceptional.
The service was top notch nothing was a bother, food and drinks even better.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere with old style decor.
The rooms are beautiful and the grounds even nicer. We cannot wait to return.
Thanks Caroline for a night we will remember.

19/12/2024: We had our Christmas party for the 3rd time there! Food was good as always, but the music wasn't as good as previous years, and one of the bartenders had a bit of an attitude at some point! Overall it was a good experience, and we are looking forward to finding out what's coming next year!
P.S.: Ruaidhri was there for us every year for our Christmas parties, making sure that we are having the best experience, so we do hope that we will see him there again in the new wrights adventure!

25/08/2025: Thank you for exceeding our expectations to celebrate a family event this weekend. The staff were fantastic dealing with such a large group and private dining room was lovely. The food (Sunday lunch menu) was excellent, everyone loved each dish they chose, raved about the oysters and crab creme brulee, trout and hake in particular. Thank you, all made the day very special and we loved it.
24/08/2025: One of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have had! Every bite was delicious, and every detail of the meal was perfection! The staff were warm and friendly and very attentive throughout. We were recommended this restaurant by a number of people but it still managed to exceed our expectations. Divine!

I really regret my choice of restaurant for our last day in Ireland. My partner had the fish and chips, good, but nothing special, and above all, way too expensive. Total €28.50...
I don't recommend it.
18/08/2025: We just grabbed breakfast here before we went to the family ship tour and it was such a pleasant surprise. My breakfast brioche was absolutely delicious and the staff were so lovely and friendly a really classic Irish welcome nothing was a problem. The only bad thing was that my well travelled kids noticed that the maple syrup was in fact golden syrup.

04/08/2025: We stayed for a night in a family room and we really enjoyed our visit. The room was very big with a king size bed, two singles and loads of space for kids to play etc. breakfast was very nice. We spent a lovely Sunday morning playing with Johnno the dog on the lawn out the front of the hotel.
