27/07/2026: Not a great experience for us. We stopped for a quick sandwich and it took forever to be served and we were the only people in the cafe. The decor was very quirky and interesting but on a closer look it was grubby. After we left my husband told me the owner was eating whilst she was preparing our food. If I'd known I would have left straight away. Not a place I would recommend.

07/05/2026: Pretty hotel in the heart of Dingle. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, but the desk clerk said she’d have someone bring our bags up. When she couldn’t find someone promptly, she carried them up herself. Great service! Our room had a beautiful 4 poster bed and fireplace. We ate in their award winning dining room and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and engaging. My husband had the best lamb he’s ever eaten, and my fish and chips was the best of the trip. Wonderful stay.

19/07/2026: Myself and my partner had dinner at the Sika restaurant during our stay in Powerscourt. The service was really good. The food was good - however the carrots (side dish) we were served weren’t fully cooked. Our main issue was the cocktails. We have been to Powerscourt hotel restaurants a number of times and the shaken (non-spritz) cocktails always disappoint. For the price of the cocktails and the fact this is a high star hotel - you look forward to a well made drink. The establishment needs to higher a head mixologist to instruct the bar staff how to make cocktails - it’s not that difficult.

18/07/2026: Ordered Party Food from Miss Ellie's! It was fabulous- all the guests were raving about it! Food arrived fresh and hot.

16/07/2026: We recently got party food delivered from Amy at Miss Ellies for my sons Christening, food was outstanding. We are 15 minutes drive from town the food arrived dead on time and was piping hot. We got more food than we needed there wasnt a thing left, all our guests complimented how good the food was and the mini battered sausages were a massive hit. I wouldn't go anywhere else now for party food and ive often attended events where Miss Ellies supplied the food and its always been delicious.

27/06/2026: The service really makes this place! You get greeted and taken to a table which is so lovely. Table service even if you just want drinks. Thank you to the staff for being so welcoming! Also a really good price for a pint in Dublin!

30/05/2026: Had a Jameson mixed drink, think he forgot the whiskey. Zero smell, zero taste but well paid. Went to the club on the opposite site and ordered the same drink. Hypothesis proved. Charming pub though and friendly server. But 10€ for a drink that tastes of nothing but ginger ale is a joke.

03/06/2026: Overall, the hotel is nice. However , the location isn’t ideal if you want to be within walking distance of anything fun or cool. It’s on a golf course so it’s very relaxing , but boring. As far as the rooms, super outdated and inconsistent. We booked two rooms, one of them came with water and all the towels you would need. The other room didn’t have any water , and only two towels were provided. If you have to stay here in a pinch it’s okay, but I wouldn’t book here again. Not horrible, just not my favorite.

01/06/2026: We booked a last minute stay directly through the website as it looked on the surface to be excellent value; family of 4 for one night, bank holiday weekend, with breakfast for under €150, and access to the pool, which was our must have for visiting with 2 kids who love a pool. Lobby area is stunning, wide open and beautiful chandelier. We had a bit of a wander around and found that the ballroom area also was beautiful. It does feel more like a golf course with a hotel. We ate dinner in the bar with the kids; service was slow as it was very full with what seemed like both locals and hotel guests (positive sign) but not enough staff, but we got there in the end, and it seemed decently priced as well, which is good because the restaurant part did seem a bit excessively priced, and without the bar menu option, we absolutely would have eaten elsewhere. Breakfast the next morning was also good; not a massive selection, the usual fry up, 3 cereals, toast and pastries, but all good. The coffee was not good though, that needs addressing, as it was clearly granule coffee, and definitely too many granules, more like tar. A couple of things werent perfect with the fry up - fried eggs were all overdone, tomatoes a bit underdone, but overall it was good and filled a hole. The bread selection and sausages and bacon in particular were lovely. The pool in very convenient, all within the hotel itself, with changing rooms, showers, large pool, kids pool area, jacuzzi, all in good/great condition, and id go so far as to say the sauna is in excellent condition. The steam room was definitely struggling with the steam element, but it was ok. Kids had a blast. The room itself - this is why its so cheap. We stayed in room 106. Despite all the positives, the food, the pool, the lobby area, the room is a let down. The rooms are old and tired, and need updating. The carpet is musty, the windows old and a bit moldy, and the beds a bit lumpy. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. The bathroom is very tired; mold between tiles, stains in the tub, leak at the toilet. The biggest issue was two silverfish in the bathroom which to find was a big surprise, pointing to that there are probably a lot more. Must be living under the tub. I know how terrible these are to get rid off, but it has to be prioritised. No doubt they will, and I did immediately let the receptionist know, and she was going to get someone to attend to it immediately, but the kids were asleep so said leave it till tomorrow when we check out. The room wasnt clean. Found things under the desk and around the perimeter. I know its always rush rush rush to turn a hotel room around, but more care needs to be had with the rooms. Pics attached of the dirt/dead bug. So a mixed bag; good food, nice lobby, decent location, and Ive stayed in much worse, but to move it back to that next level, it needs a refurbishment of the rooms as soon as possible. The kids were happy and didnt know any better, and we made some great memories, but my experience is 'its fine' rather than 'definitely stay here'.

18/08/2026: I have sampled the food while travelling through Edenderry on many an occasion today I stopped here, its got a great carpark and very accessible premises. The food I ordered was a cesear salad. It's my goto middle of the road healthish option while travelling for work It usually comes with a carb side such as bread or chips and it was offered here with chips. I usually avoid the carbs but today I couldn't. The portion of salad and chicken I was served was below anything I had before. It came on a massive plate and was nearly covering it. I ate the chips as the portion size wouldn't have filled a 5year old. The croutons were also soft and I would say stale. Sorry to say I wouldn't return. Staff were friendly nice buzz about the place but value for money was poor. €14.50 was very pricey for the portion size served and quality of food.

07/07/2026: Staff could use more initiative i.e. If a guest has a query regarding spa they could ring them rather than suggesting the guest trek all the way down to ask their question. Room could have been cleaner. View amazing. Spa amazing.

15/09/2026: I love Brownes for lunch but I have to say their coffee is just so bad. I feel so bad writing this because the staff are so lovely and the food is nice. I had coffee this morning and I brought it back because it’s €5.60 and it tasted really bad. I ordered an almond milk latte and I know almond milk can be difficult to froth but I think it was burnt or maybe the bean was burt. The staff were so nice and made me another one which was better but still not great. I had to bin it in the end because I didn’t want to go back in again. I’m not writing this as a bad review more advice.. I think it needs to be looked into a bit whether it’s a coffee error or a barista refresher course. I usually get a chai latte here and they’re lovely so I hate having to leave this review

09/09/2026: Lovely café with a beautiful interior and a really nice atmosphere. We had breakfast here and were very happy with both the food and the portions — everything was fresh, tasty and definitely not small! The café itself is beautifully decorated, with a stylish and cosy interior that makes you want to stay a little longer. A great place for a delicious and satisfying breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

30/05/2026: Nice little hotel . Rooms were a good size for the price and the breakfast and menu options were very good . Its not the Ritz and makes no claim to be but if you are looking for a great value hotel that leaves you with more money in your pocket to explore the area you wont go wrong . Also the staff were lovely which is always a bonus !

07/08/2026: Had lunch here last week with a friend. I had the special, prawns and hake and my friend had fish and chips!! Magic food, fresh from the sea and well presented. Served by the charming Caroline, our compliments to the excellent chef and his team!! We'll be back, and back......!! 👍☘️
