20/03/2026: Dropped in for a drink in a Friday afternoon, very friendly, great service. Dog friendly in the bar when we visited! Food menu looks nice also.

18/03/2026: Following a 15 minute wait for a waiter or waitress to even look at us, the waitress serving us made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. She was aggressive and rude when we pointed out a mistake she had made with our order, insisting we were wrong. When she finally checked with the bar, she then confirmed it was indeed her mistake, after making a scene in front of other diners. An expensive lunch which was ruined, avoid!

29/03/2026: We have never experienced such wonderful hospitality!!! The moment you step in you are made to feel welcome and at home. Edelle and Colm in particular deliver exceptional service!!! Food is outstanding and the Guiness is top quality!!! Our new favourite spot in Louth!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

13/08/2025: Didn’t eat here, but wouldn’t go back for drinks. Bartenders were not friendly at all and refused to make mixed drinks for Americans, but then made them for their friends who ordered right after. One acted as if he didn’t know what Tito’s vodka was. They had great live music and a lively crowd, but a very unwelcoming bunch. Americans should skip this spot and spend their money elsewhere. One of the few pubs the group had anything negative to say about.

18/01/2026: €17 for a hand full of lukewarm chipe and a small haddock. Found the staff to be ignorant. Over priced and over hyped.

02/04/2026: We visited the restaurant during our vacation and asked for a table without a reservation, which initially seemed to be no problem. The food was very tasty, but the portions were very small for the price. Side dishes had to be paid for separately. Afterwards, we ordered dessert and cappuccino. We had barely finished eating when we were asked to pay and leave, as the table was immediately being given to other guests. Double bookings are something we understand and are fine with. However, being asked to leave so quickly without any prior notice was unprecedented. I cannot recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a pleasant evening in a nice atmosphere.

21/03/2026: Very expensive for a míni dish of food and a bottle of wine. Poor service and poor food as well. Kind staff is the only thing what i can say about the place.

05/04/2026: Was a nice spot with a good selection but the fries weren’t very hot and the pizza base was very hard. We had the prawns which was good though

28/03/2026: Cosy sports bar with log stove. Large seated smoking area with tvs. Friendly staff. Ideally located beside beach.

22/04/2026: Hotel is being renovated but this does not effect the overall experience. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Food was lovely. Location is great. Value for their packages is good too. I wish them all the best of success with the renovations, rooms were spacious and nice.

11/04/2026: Hotel is not cooperating for cancellation, as I cannot make it to them due to fuel protest. Really disappointed.

25/04/2026: We ordered the soup, which was excellent—tomato and basil. Afterward, they brought us a BLT on toast, but I was dissatisfied. When I opened the sandwich, I saw that the bacon was pale and undercooked, and the brown spots on the lettuce and tomato completely ruined my appetite. When the waiter asked if everything was okay, I replied that the soup was good, but I didn't like the BLT at all for a number of reasons. The waiter didn't comment or apologize, and handed over the card machine for the full bill. The bill also included a tip, which I wouldn't have left if I had chosen. I'm sure of all the possible places to dine in Dublin, we would never choose this one.

15/04/2026: Everything was perfect, the steak was delicious. We had a very simple anniversary dinner, yet it was made special with very little. Great location, and fast, friendly service. Great experience, thank you so much 😄

19/02/2026: Please be advised, this is no longer a cafe! Tried to visit in Feb26 and it only does interiors. I’m sure the interiors are lovely. The lady in the Top forecourt across the way said the cafe is gone now.

15/02/2026: What a wonderful place! It's very atmospheric. A wonderful display of antiques. The room is decorated in a vintage style: no plastic, just metal and wood! The food prices are more than reasonable. The meat dishes were excellent! The only issue was the fish was a little watery, but that's a minor detail. Five stars, definitely!

25/01/2026: Dear Management, I am writing to formally complain about the treatment my wife, myself, and our friends received at Lawlers of Naas on Saturday evening. We have visited your premises on many occasions, particularly on Sundays, without ever experiencing an issue. Yesterday, following a low-key family christening, a group of seven friends joined us for drinks. Three members of our group arrived earlier, including one couple where the woman was heavily pregnant. After we had sat down and were having a drink, we were approached by Bar Manager Adam and told that we would have to leave at 9:30pm. No explanation was given, and there had been no disorderly behaviour, raised voices, or breach of house rules. Two members of our group privately spoke with the manager to ask what we had done wrong. They were told, “No guys, what did we do? You did nothing wrong.” Despite this, during this conversation, bar staff removed drinks from our table without consent. When our friends queried where their drinks had gone, they were told they had not purchased any drinks. This was incorrect. Both friends had paid by card and were able to immediately show proof of payment on their banking app. It is also important to note that two of our friends, who do not appear to be members of the Traveller community, were served food and drinks without issue throughout the evening. However, once staff became aware that other members of our group were from the Traveller community, service was refused and we were effectively forced to leave. The only difference between those who were served and those who were not was their membership of the Traveller community. That is discrimination, plain and simple. I find it deeply upsetting that in 2026 this kind of treatment is still occurring. We are local people and local business owners. I personally have coached children in Newbridge for over 30 years and have contributed positively to the local community my entire adult life. None of that mattered on Sunday night. We were humiliated in front of friends, one of whom was heavily pregnant, and made to feel unwelcome solely because of who we are. I am requesting: • A written explanation for the actions of management and staff • Confirmation of your policies regarding equality and non-discrimination • An assurance that members of the Traveller community will not be treated this way again This complaint is being documented formally. I hope it can be resolved appropriately, but I will consider further action if necessary. I look forward to your response. Yours sincerely, Edward Stokes

11/12/2025: We booked for 7 pm for our family and was totally let down by the long wait and awful service. I do not blame the floor staff or the kitchen staff but the owners who are allowing walk-ins putting pressure on staff and in turn giving bad service to the customers who have booked and paid good money to eat at this establishment! I hope the owners review their policy and put quality over quantity!
