Gormanston
15/03/2026: Horrible service bang average food bang average drink. If your in the area your way better off going to whytes not too far from here it is far far superior.
15/02/2026: What a wonderful place! It's very atmospheric. A wonderful display of antiques. The room is decorated in a vintage style: no plastic, just metal and wood! The food prices are more than reasonable. The meat dishes were excellent! The only issue was the fish was a little watery, but that's a minor detail. Five stars, definitely!

The Cross
Drogheda
Bebe y disfruta.
(Original)
Always a great spot for you music lovers. There's ample opportunity to socialise in a bustling yet comfortable setting and for those looking to hide away from chance encounters there's plenty of nooks and crannies to disappear into for the night. There's also the added bonus of being able to break away completely and venture upstairs to the chill out section clad with cinema seats for a unique experience. Drink up and enjoy.

05/04/2026: Changing my previous 5 star review.
Very overpriced here, and today I had missing items from my takeaway order.
I haven’t been here with a while due to the high prices, and used to come regularly enough. However, I thought I’d have a treat with today being Easter.
After today, I certainly won’t be coming back again in a hurry.
26/03/2026: Absolutely spot on inside there, couldn’t fault the place one bit, will always come back 😊

The Bistro
Naas legal town
25/01/2026: Dear Management,
I am writing to formally complain about the treatment my wife, myself, and our friends received at Lawlers of Naas on Saturday evening.
We have visited your premises on many occasions, particularly on Sundays, without ever experiencing an issue. Yesterday, following a low-key family christening, a group of seven friends joined us for drinks. Three members of our group arrived earlier, including one couple where the woman was heavily pregnant.
After we had sat down and were having a drink, we were approached by Bar Manager Adam and told that we would have to leave at 9:30pm. No explanation was given, and there had been no disorderly behaviour, raised voices, or breach of house rules.
Two members of our group privately spoke with the manager to ask what we had done wrong. They were told, “No guys, what did we do? You did nothing wrong.” Despite this, during this conversation, bar staff removed drinks from our table without consent.
When our friends queried where their drinks had gone, they were told they had not purchased any drinks. This was incorrect. Both friends had paid by card and were able to immediately show proof of payment on their banking app.
It is also important to note that two of our friends, who do not appear to be members of the Traveller community, were served food and drinks without issue throughout the evening. However, once staff became aware that other members of our group were from the Traveller community, service was refused and we were effectively forced to leave.
The only difference between those who were served and those who were not was their membership of the Traveller community. That is discrimination, plain and simple.
I find it deeply upsetting that in 2026 this kind of treatment is still occurring. We are local people and local business owners. I personally have coached children in Newbridge for over 30 years and have contributed positively to the local community my entire adult life. None of that mattered on Sunday night.
We were humiliated in front of friends, one of whom was heavily pregnant, and made to feel unwelcome solely because of who we are.
I am requesting:
• A written explanation for the actions of management and staff
• Confirmation of your policies regarding equality and non-discrimination
• An assurance that members of the Traveller community will not be treated this way again
This complaint is being documented formally. I hope it can be resolved appropriately, but I will consider further action if necessary.
I look forward to your response.
Yours sincerely,
Edward Stokes
11/12/2025: We booked for 7 pm for our family and was totally let down by the long wait and awful service. I do not blame the floor staff or the kitchen staff but the owners who are allowing walk-ins putting pressure on staff and in turn giving bad service to the customers who have booked and paid good money to eat at this establishment! I hope the owners review their policy and put quality over quantity!

Cashel legal
11/05/2026: Will remember Cashel because of this space and Joel and Marijke ..who welcomed us and made us feel at home.
02/05/2026: We walked in to an empty restaurant at 6:30 pm on a Friday (every other place in town was full), so we weren’t expecting much. The food was delivered in takeout containers. We were surprised to find out it was from a trailer out back. The food was excellent! The Rustic Food Trailer has been doing this for about 6 months. The trailer is run by a young couple, he’s from Lithuania and she is from the Ukraine.

Horans Bar & Restaurant
Baltinglass
11/05/2026: Wood-fired pizza scrumptious, salad lovely and fresh, staff were superb - welcoming, attentive and super helpful, definitely going back for more.
09/05/2026: A fantastic pub/restaurant i have used for formal occassions or a social drink.Horans have consistently produced top quality food and drink, be it for hiring the venue for a Baptism Party, a family meal or social drinks of a weekend.Horans provides you with the option of great pub grub, with a wide range of food, or the option of The Base restaurant. With a Stone Pizza Oven, there is a seperate Pizza menu or a wide selection of mains from steak, fish, chicken and day specials.
A Popular side bar for just a drink, you can catch all the sport throughout Horans, with your choice of surrounding.
The staff are always accommodating and do their best to meet your needs, with Premier League, Rugby, GAA, Horse Racing, and fantastic food to enjoy during the match od with friends.
As for entertainment, there is live music every Saturday night and often other events during the week.
I Have never used the accommodation but i often see people arriving for rooms they have booked, as they sightsee around Wicklow or for local weddings etc.
A great local pub, which does its best to meet your every need!

Fara's Restaurant and Wine Bar
Ballybofey-stranorlar
24/02/2026: We had the worst stay in a hotel room for decades.
The room was so uncomfortably hot that we had to sleep with the window wide open and drapes opened. Do this created another major issue.shining directly into the window were two huge security lights which are on 24/7.
The radiator in the room was OFF and it was not possible to turn down/off the A/C. I made this complaint on checking out and was assured someone would call, NOTHING!!! When my daughter and I arrived slightly later than we expected but in plenty of time to use the thermal suite we'd booked however because we had traveled a fair distance, we asked if we could move back our booking(thermal suite) 1 hour to 4pm
We were told emphatically NO as it was fully booked.
This was a LIE. No one was booked in at 4pm. When we left at 4.12 not a single person had arrived to use it!
The only thing good about this hotel was the bar food, That's it.
Try somewhere else if you actually want to sleep at night
21/02/2026: From the moment we arrived at Villa Rose, we were welcomed by such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The hotel has a genuinely inviting feel that immediately makes you feel at home. I had a massage booked with Gemma, and she was absolutely amazing — incredibly professional and wonderfully relaxing. I felt completely at ease afterwards. A truly lovely experience and I would happily stay again.

Supermac's
Killarney
24/05/2026: Food not great , seems like it wasn't cooked from start, very disappointed
15/05/2026: It's a Supermacs. They rarely, if ever, disappoint. There's not a foreigner I know who doesn't go home with Supermacs on their list of things about Ireland that will forever live in their hearts. I'm only slightly exaggerating.
