27/10/2025: Good pints well organised staff.

18/10/2025: I could get no room in the shearwater hotel, they recommend pillar house bar to me, I just wanted a bed to sleep in, nothing fancy. It's in the town , and a few steps down from the pub itself. Absolutely did the job for me, the bed is massive and ensuite small but it's only me. 50 euro for the night no breakfast, that's grand And no hurry up in the morning.

28/10/2025: Great coffee stop with safe parking for bicycles, sitting indoor and outdoor, amazing selection of cakes and other sweets, great coffee. Very friendly and efficient staff👍

02/08/2025: Five of us had breakfast here today. The food was lovely plus the staff were lovely and friendly. We had a dog with us and they gave him water and were very helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Well done.

26/10/2025: Not recommended, friendly welcome upon arrival, food not very special. The staff got grumpy because you didn't leave enough of a tip. Strange turn of events at the end of the evening.

09/12/2025: The food is very good, the service is excellent, the staff are always friendly and very polite, and for those who don't speak English very well, like me, some staff members speak Portuguese. My children and my wife enjoy it, I highly recommend it.

19/11/2025: We've never written a bad review before, but my friends and I have decided we should after this afternoon. We will say the food is nice, but it's not even close to making up for the extremely poor service we have received alongside it. We have been back many times, as it is close by, but today was our last. Grown adults tried to bully us into paying for food we had not ordered and were extremely unprofessional when dealing with their own mistake (this has happened more than once and to others we know). They had also charged our friend for a dip (which is fine), but this was after they had forgotten to put her order through to the kitchen. When they finally brought her food out, they had already cleared the rest of our plates, again with little to no apology. You would assume that maybe, at the very least, ketchup could be free:/ We can appreciate that someone could be having a bad day, but it seems that the service staff here are consistently having these days, and it's reflected in how they treat customers, especially students.

10/09/2025: We stayed at Rosleague Manor for 2 nights recently. This is a stunning hotel. Everything was perfect. Lovely spotless spacious bedroom

04/08/2025: We stayed for a night in a family room and we really enjoyed our visit. The room was very big with a king size bed, two singles and loads of space for kids to play etc. breakfast was very nice. We spent a lovely Sunday morning playing with Johnno the dog on the lawn out the front of the hotel.

05/10/2025: Great food and atmosphere here. Haven't actually stayed the night (we live in a motorhome, so have no need), we tend to just come for a drink or a bite to eat. Staff very friendly and efficient, Guinness is spot on, and the food delicious.

21/09/2025: Called in for Sunday Dinner, have to say the food was absolutely delicious all round perfect.. Soup, dinner and dessert 🍨 fabulous 👌 will be back again. Thanks.

14/12/2025: Very disappointing experience at Caprice Restaurant, Galway. We entered the restaurant, were seated, and then left waiting for over 15 minutes without a single staff member coming to our table to take our order. This was especially frustrating as there were many staff members present and the restaurant was not busy at the time. After being completely ignored, we decided to leave. Unfortunately, this level of service is unacceptable, and as a result, we would not return nor recommend this restaurant to others. This is also not the first time I, or someone I know, has had such an experience.

30/11/2025: Food was savage. Got the spinach and potato soup and prosecco. Stunning spot. Very Christmasy. We weren't able to split the bill. Also over charged for the prosecco. Charged the non alcoholic rate.
