20/12/2025: Great spot for a good night out

17/12/2025: Unbelievable. I was denied entry by an old security man standing outside the pub on Monday night 15th of December all because I was “wearing a tracksuit” mind you, I had on a HOODIE and JOGGERS!! Then I looked back and saw a bunch of black people like myself standing just right outside, refused entry as well while like 20-30 white folks just walked in, one even threw up the middle finger to me. I had to leave the place and go back home that night. Waking up in the morning, the girl I was with told me she went back there and was still denied entry, and the man asked her “where’s your little black friend?” And also called her a “wh0re” just because she was with me that night. So I was lowkey denied entry into the pub because I was black. Absolutely unbelievable

28/10/2025: Great coffee stop with safe parking for bicycles, sitting indoor and outdoor, amazing selection of cakes and other sweets, great coffee. Very friendly and efficient staff👍

03/11/2025: I don't even know where to start. I'm an actor and the production company booked this "hotel" for me for a few days. I had really early morning starts for work and got back late in the evenings. I just needed a place to rest at night . When I first rang them, the woman was very rude on the phone. That should have told me everything I needed to know about the place but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she's busy and stressed and that's why she was rude. After filming all day I would just want to eat and sleep (not socialize, or eat out) . Late finish times usually means take away food would be the easiest option however this 'hotel' does not allow you to have take away food. They played really really loud music, they could have turned it down a bit . A man and a guitar how loud can it be???? The sound was awful on my room. I got zero sleep. And somehow it went on from 9:30 pm until 1:30am. When I rang them to complain (I really needed sleep) I was having bad chest pains and thought I was gonna have a heart attack) the guy on the phone tells me " we have trad night, we advertise this everywhere, so why would you book this place to stay in?" This were his exact words. I told him I didn't book it, the company booked it. He was so rude. As well as the woman . I often stay away for work but I've never never experienced such bad manners. They don't care about their guests staying in the accommodations. On fact they're not accommodating at all. I could go on about this but I won't. Eventually I found the most peaceful b&b called the meetings bnb. It was absolute paradise. The staff took such good care of me. Please check this place out before booking at jacobs well. The meetings is surrounded by trees and the two rivers meet. It's tranquil but most importantly the staff is actually KIND , that's all I needed. I know if Jacobs well responds to this it will be the same defensive narci responses. Fyi booking.com did not advertise loud music . I tried sleeping in the shower, hoping it would drown out the noise some what with the fan but it didn't at all. Because the speakers were insanely loud Oof it was an awful awful experience. Might as well save money and sleep in the car. Yes I did! People like this really shouldn't be in business. If you wanna relax and eat what you want go somewhere else. A response to this narcissist, and defensive owner- I called only twice ( only to make payment because you told me it had to be don't over the phone. Absolutely not a single person had let me know that this room was over the bar. The fact that you still come on here to lie shows how absolutely awful you people are. I actually feel sorry to the people that have to deal with you on a daily basis.

20/10/2025: A beautiful family run pub. The chicken curry is beautiful. Once a week we have takeaway curry. And I look forward to that day!

10/09/2025: We stayed at Rosleague Manor for 2 nights recently. This is a stunning hotel. Everything was perfect. Lovely spotless spacious bedroom

04/08/2025: We stayed for a night in a family room and we really enjoyed our visit. The room was very big with a king size bed, two singles and loads of space for kids to play etc. breakfast was very nice. We spent a lovely Sunday morning playing with Johnno the dog on the lawn out the front of the hotel.

21/12/2025: Very poor food! My 21 euro burger was like something I'd serve up to the kids.. Zero garnish & burnt chips! . Everything is over priced for what you actually get. Nachos were a complete rip off . This place used to serve really good food. I dont know what happened it? Disappointed++

18/11/2025: We have always liked the food here but the system used for ordering, cooking, paying and seating leaves a lot to be desired. The restaurant was not busy when we visited but we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to place our order and to pay. Then when it came to actually getting our food there was a long delay between my hot sausage roll and my partner’s toasted sandwich arriving. Even though we ordered together we could not eat together. We asked for assistance many times but the staff were disinterested and unhelpful. There were plenty of staff on so delays should not have been an issue. We were very disappointed as this was a restaurant we visited regularly but this was our last time.
