25/01/2026: Dear Management, I am writing to formally complain about the treatment my wife, myself, and our friends received at Lawlers of Naas on Saturday evening. We have visited your premises on many occasions, particularly on Sundays, without ever experiencing an issue. Yesterday, following a low-key family christening, a group of seven friends joined us for drinks. Three members of our group arrived earlier, including one couple where the woman was heavily pregnant. After we had sat down and were having a drink, we were approached by Bar Manager Adam and told that we would have to leave at 9:30pm. No explanation was given, and there had been no disorderly behaviour, raised voices, or breach of house rules. Two members of our group privately spoke with the manager to ask what we had done wrong. They were told, “No guys, what did we do? You did nothing wrong.” Despite this, during this conversation, bar staff removed drinks from our table without consent. When our friends queried where their drinks had gone, they were told they had not purchased any drinks. This was incorrect. Both friends had paid by card and were able to immediately show proof of payment on their banking app. It is also important to note that two of our friends, who do not appear to be members of the Traveller community, were served food and drinks without issue throughout the evening. However, once staff became aware that other members of our group were from the Traveller community, service was refused and we were effectively forced to leave. The only difference between those who were served and those who were not was their membership of the Traveller community. That is discrimination, plain and simple. I find it deeply upsetting that in 2026 this kind of treatment is still occurring. We are local people and local business owners. I personally have coached children in Newbridge for over 30 years and have contributed positively to the local community my entire adult life. None of that mattered on Sunday night. We were humiliated in front of friends, one of whom was heavily pregnant, and made to feel unwelcome solely because of who we are. I am requesting: • A written explanation for the actions of management and staff • Confirmation of your policies regarding equality and non-discrimination • An assurance that members of the Traveller community will not be treated this way again This complaint is being documented formally. I hope it can be resolved appropriately, but I will consider further action if necessary. I look forward to your response. Yours sincerely, Edward Stokes

11/12/2025: We booked for 7 pm for our family and was totally let down by the long wait and awful service. I do not blame the floor staff or the kitchen staff but the owners who are allowing walk-ins putting pressure on staff and in turn giving bad service to the customers who have booked and paid good money to eat at this establishment! I hope the owners review their policy and put quality over quantity!

10/04/2026: Fresh food, perfectly cooked and presented, served by friendly and efficient staff. What more could want. One of our favourite places to go in West Cork. Thanks Tina and Roxanne for always looking after us so we'll. Sean would be proud!!

06/04/2026: My brother and I went for a quick lunch, seafood chowder on Friday April 3rd. It was mainly cream and not much fish. As we were visiting our father who is from the area, he came in and paid the bill by card. The owner/manager asked him did he wish to leave a tip. My father asked if he had a tip jar. The owner/manager said there was a tin at the till and my father came and asked me did I have change. After we left, he noticed, there was a charge "Gratuity" He asked me was this tax, and I said that it had been a tip added to the bill. I wanted to go in, but my father did not want to make a fuss about it. I thought this was so sneaky, my dad is 82 and if it had have been a younger person would the manager/owner have pulled this one? Rachelle

11/04/2026: The wings are really good here, really really good, been here multiple times and can always count on them to be consistent and good!! The staff here at nice but paying your bill at the door is weird

10/04/2026: Pizza crust was soggy and tasteless. The area was pretty dirty, not to say anything about the toilets …. Never again

13/04/2026: Great atmosphere. Had 4 lovely ciders there and the staff was very nice! They gave us a baby Guinness for free!

08/06/2025: Had the classic. Great home made sausage with just the right spices. Roll held together till the end. Onions and peppers were tender and fresh.

04/06/2025: Contained in the huge English Market SC ,this place stands out from all the other exceptional vendors. Just a small stall with usually only 3 workers, it can turn out food to die for. All sandwiches are make rite on the spot. You can customize or order any of the house specials. Grab a special, find a quiet spot, (not possible) and enjoy.

11/03/2026: Not a cafe anymore. Seriously need to update your Google entry to prevent people turning up to be disappointed.

19/02/2026: Please be advised, this is no longer a cafe! Tried to visit in Feb26 and it only does interiors. I’m sure the interiors are lovely. The lady in the Top forecourt across the way said the cafe is gone now.

18/12/2025: First time here, not sure I would be back even though the food was tasty. I called ahead to order, asking if they take card payments, I was told no and that I could take money out in Centra at the ATM if needed. Order was a little slow but when it came to pay, I handed in the cash, 30 euros. I never heard so much complaining because I didn't have the exact change. Talking under his breath and making a big deal. If you don't take card payments and it's cash only, you should be able to give me back 6 euros without hassle and making me feel bad acting like I handed you a 100euro note.

15/03/2026: Horrible service bang average food bang average drink. If your in the area your way better off going to whytes not too far from here it is far far superior.

15/02/2026: What a wonderful place! It's very atmospheric. A wonderful display of antiques. The room is decorated in a vintage style: no plastic, just metal and wood! The food prices are more than reasonable. The meat dishes were excellent! The only issue was the fish was a little watery, but that's a minor detail. Five stars, definitely!

25/01/2026: Amazing food, flawless service, beautiful restaurant. Left feeling perfectly looked after, pleasantly full and purely content. Had the scallop, venison special and apple tarte tatin. My husband had the special creme brûlée which he adored. Special shout to Niamh who was such a wonderful person and provided us with amazing service. Will 100% be back! Absolutely gem of a restaurant

17/11/2025: I do not mean to damn with faint praise. The Myles Creek Guesthouse was a fine place to stay on a slow off-season tour of Ireland's west coast. Our room was small and a little careworn, but perfectly comfortable and, for the price, a good deal. The amenities suffer a bit in comparison to other, nicer B&Bs we've encountered on this trip, but it a pleasant (and surprisingly quiet) place to rest our heads. Kilkee's main drag has lots of pub and food options -- or would in season, but most places are closed in mid-November. We enjoyed our dinner at Hickie's a short walk away.

08/04/2026: Awful place. Refused my partner a pint because he wasnt completely finished the one in front of him. Was speaking to someone at another table and they refused him a whiskey because he had half a pint in front of him. Staff pick and choose who they serve and wound never reccomend this place to anyone. They know how to charge well and staff are horrible.

18/02/2026: Another nice pub in the area. Prices on par with surrounding pubs and London Massive selection of beers and spirits. Would recommend
