29/10/2025: A modern and cozy pub. Smiling, polite, and friendly service. Homemade dishes at very reasonable prices. In short, we loved stopping here for a delicious lunch! Super friendly staff. Clean restrooms. What else! 👌

19/11/2025: Found this pub really great. Superb staff and staff apart from one member of staff. A younger blonde woman who was quite unhappy and rude a couple of times while serving me. Overall well worth a visit

10/10/2025: Great cafe and deli. We drop in whenever we can. Good coffee and cakes. Tasty toasted sandwiches. Lovely location. Friendly staff. Great selection of wine, cheeses, honey and chocolates for sale among other things. Highly recommend.

29/12/2025: The food is really top class for the reasonable price. High quality, high intention. My wife, four year old and I went the whole hog with three courses, and every part of every dish was a very thoughtful version of what it was. So we got a good cross section of the menu - deep fried brie, wings, curry, burger, goujons, cheesecake, so on. None of it felt generic or from the freezer. The environment was well lit, warm, nothing loud, friendly hum of chatter from around the bar. And most of all, all the staff were very friendly. They all felt genuinely warm and happy to be there. It of course makes all the difference. Our favorite pub grub right now I think. Great experience here!

18/12/2025: Had coffee AND COMPLIMENTARY scones and lunch with my colleagues in this well managed, comfortable and extremely clean establishment, would like to thank Darragh and Alison for their company and professionalism,,,this was the first time and certainly won't be the last time on these premises

11/08/2025: I was there Sunday the 10th of August at 8.43am and the gentleman who served me, known as Lee Whelton was a brilliant worker, knows the running of the place and was so very helpful he was a star ⭐️!!

02/08/2025: Five of us had breakfast here today. The food was lovely plus the staff were lovely and friendly. We had a dog with us and they gave him water and were very helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Well done.

23/11/2025: A mixed platter. We stayed at The Tannery for two nights. We were attracted by the promise of excellent food, so booked in to eat on both evenings. Or at least we thought we had, as it soon became apparent that they had lost our dinner bookings. To the full credit of the staff they did rectify this quite quickly. The room was great but the sound proofing was shockingly poor. The couple next door would be embarrassed if they knew just how much we now know about them. On the first night the food was very good and our waitress was a gem. Not so on the second evening. We both reordered the crab brulee,as we had so enjoyed it the night before. Big mistake, it was curdled and lacking crab. The mains were an even bigger disappointment as they were totally lacking in flavour, to the point I began to question if I could have covid. When the young waiter came to clear the plates, asked if everything was OK, I said, actually, both mains were terribly bland, to which he looked at my empty plate and rolled his eyes. Not an acceptable response. We came for fine dining,this was mediocre comfort food and oh so disappointing. Has The Tannery become too complacent ? Needless to say, no one followed up on my comment to the young waiter, either that evening, or the next morning.

14/09/2025: Just back from a lovely 2 night stay in the townhouse. The bedroom was lovely. The dinner was a really lovely treat, staff very nice and service was excellent. Breakfast was beautiful. Only 1 issue- you check in at the restaurant and the townhouse is accross the road from it. I think that might be useful to have on the website and also limited parking close to the townhouse. Dungarven a lovely place to visit with lots of pubs and great food choices. The tannery is very central. Visit Merrys & Nagles for drinks. Dun for pastries and Isabelles place for quirky shopping. All within a few mins walk of the tannery.

17/12/2025: This is a favourite of mine, excellent full Irish and great pancakes and stuff, wonderful seating area with natural lighting and a view of the town through the windows

04/01/2026: What a lovely place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is gorgeous, well presented. We come for the walks on the beach.
