10/04/2026: Fresh food, perfectly cooked and presented, served by friendly and efficient staff. What more could want. One of our favourite places to go in West Cork. Thanks Tina and Roxanne for always looking after us so we'll. Sean would be proud!!

06/04/2026: My brother and I went for a quick lunch, seafood chowder on Friday April 3rd. It was mainly cream and not much fish. As we were visiting our father who is from the area, he came in and paid the bill by card. The owner/manager asked him did he wish to leave a tip. My father asked if he had a tip jar. The owner/manager said there was a tin at the till and my father came and asked me did I have change. After we left, he noticed, there was a charge "Gratuity" He asked me was this tax, and I said that it had been a tip added to the bill. I wanted to go in, but my father did not want to make a fuss about it. I thought this was so sneaky, my dad is 82 and if it had have been a younger person would the manager/owner have pulled this one? Rachelle

08/04/2026: Awful place. Refused my partner a pint because he wasnt completely finished the one in front of him. Was speaking to someone at another table and they refused him a whiskey because he had half a pint in front of him. Staff pick and choose who they serve and wound never reccomend this place to anyone. They know how to charge well and staff are horrible.

18/02/2026: Another nice pub in the area. Prices on par with surrounding pubs and London Massive selection of beers and spirits. Would recommend

08/08/2025: While on our honeymoon in Ireland, Ireland by Bike suggested we dine at Yellow Pepper. So glad we did, the atmosphere is so cozy, the food was amazing. We had the opportunity to meet the owner Kieran who is a gem! Chris and Kerrilee

05/08/2025: Visited Letteykenny in Ireland for a short break, had seen reviews. Definitely have to book so popular. Lovely options to choose from. Decided to go straight to the main, I had the lamb shank special of the day, The lamb just fell off the bone, buttery mash with good selection of vegetables, some as purée,and a tasteful jus to bring it all together. My husband had the cod with fish pie, a beautiful chunky piece, definitely a hot pie with creamy mash. Both our plates were completely cleaned. I had the meringue with fresh fruit and compote, meringue crispy and chewy just the way it should be. A lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Staff were very attentive and polite. Very good value as well. Would definitely recommend The Yellow.Pepper

09/03/2026: Best restaurant in Galway, in fact best restaurant in Ireland hands down. Has been consistently brilliant since it opened thanks to Conor the owner. Atmosphere is buzzy and great people watching. I would highly recommend.

03/03/2026: Disgusted. Was hoping for dessert and wine at 10pm to finish the evening. Were rudely seated and then completely ignored for a good while despite trying to catch the waitrons attention. The restaurant was empty and 3 waitrons just chatting Really unacctable given the amazing options around the corner. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we stumbled accross Augustin next door. Amazing!!

25/10/2025: Staff are lovely. However food was disappointing, veggie sandwich which had a laughable amount inside, considering the high price, told staff and sandwich returned still ridiculous small amount of filling. The wait for the food took ages before this even occured so I just ate it when it came back out, unsatisfied after meal. No side salad or anything with small sandwich.

15/03/2026: Stunning restaurant, food was amazing. The team there last night were superb, friendly, organised and so welcoming. The decor is spot on and the wine extensive. When back in the area this will be our place to go. Thank you once again to all the team!

02/03/2026: We had the best time in cresslough and enjoyed all our lovely meals at Roses bar for the two nights we were there. Above all we had great service from one of the staff ( Andrew)he was so friendly and helpful especially when we couldn't decide what to have he gave a few suggestions.. I would totally drive back to enjoy the food. It was more than 10/10 for us👌. Thank you

09/01/2026: We stopped into Roses for some food when passing and visitors to the area, we arrived 15 minutes before the restaurant area was open so we allowed we would get a drink in the bar while we waited. The staff brought down menus to us and took our order really quickly, which was appreciated. Food came really quickly, very tasty and real good portions. Cosy bar and restaurant. Would definitely return if back in the area. Highly recommend.

04/02/2026: Friendly staff member on the phone, Delivery arrived within 25 minutes. Food was hot and delicious.

05/10/2025: The restaurant's location is excellent, and the meal vouchers from our hotel were a great start. The food itself was fantastic, which made our experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, the service was atrocious. We were not attended to at any stage during our meal, and no one checked if we wanted more drinks. We also had long waits for our food and had to flag down staff just to get the bill. It was disappointing to see what looked like a lack of training or management, as staff seemed to stand around talking to each other instead of helping customers. The poor service completely overshadowed what should have been a wonderful meal.

24/02/2026: We had the worst stay in a hotel room for decades. The room was so uncomfortably hot that we had to sleep with the window wide open and drapes opened. Do this created another major issue.shining directly into the window were two huge security lights which are on 24/7. The radiator in the room was OFF and it was not possible to turn down/off the A/C. I made this complaint on checking out and was assured someone would call, NOTHING!!! When my daughter and I arrived slightly later than we expected but in plenty of time to use the thermal suite we'd booked however because we had traveled a fair distance, we asked if we could move back our booking(thermal suite) 1 hour to 4pm We were told emphatically NO as it was fully booked. This was a LIE. No one was booked in at 4pm. When we left at 4.12 not a single person had arrived to use it! The only thing good about this hotel was the bar food, That's it. Try somewhere else if you actually want to sleep at night

21/02/2026: From the moment we arrived at Villa Rose, we were welcomed by such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The hotel has a genuinely inviting feel that immediately makes you feel at home. I had a massage booked with Gemma, and she was absolutely amazing — incredibly professional and wonderfully relaxing. I felt completely at ease afterwards. A truly lovely experience and I would happily stay again.

18/12/2025: Came in late after a long day of travelling and arrived in near closing time. They were very accommodating to me and my partner, we had accommodation already sorted elsewhere but we had some food here and it was deadly. Owners very friendly and recommend us sights to see. Will be back when we visit skibbereen again.
