17/09/2024: Lovely spot, nice staff, great food. Full of locals, which is always a good sign. Shrimp tacos with mango salsa, yummy. But....the toilets. They are seriously in need of a deep clean. Not just the loo, but the walls, doors, everything. Spoilt the experience, for me anyway.

22/08/2024: Family visit We visited while on a day out at the Discovery Park. Had to write this review to commend the excellent food and fantastic service. Good value and very family friendly with an interesting menu a cut above the standard small town cafe fare. I would return to Castlecomer Discovery Park as an excuse to drop in again. Highly recommend the Korean Chicken Wrap special!

25/09/2024: Amazing quality food, service is very good also, staff very friendly. The only two things I would change there is the background music, for something more relaxed and classy, like instrumental classic music for example, and also some colour to the tables, like a center piece with flowers, even fake ones, to give some more visual appeal. These are just small details, but we will be back for sure, and very soon.

27/10/2024: I had the 8 course tasting menu at the West. Food was incredibly well prepared, service was excellent. They just need to attention to cleaning. When we sat down at the table the wine glasses were dirty and there were cobweb on the lamp.

02/09/2024: Another fantastic evening at West. The food is so amazing there, the taste, the presentation, all superb. The servers are ready with all sorts of info on both the foods and the drinks. The fish was so fresh, the oysters were gorgeous. Duck cooked to perfection. Last time we went I couldn't fit the dessert so I made sure to leave space last night and it didn't disappoint. 8 course taster menu for €69. It's such a bargain for the evening that you get. Plenty of space between tables, good decor. A really fab evening.

21/09/2024: Had a fantastic meal with friends, food was tasty and very well presented. Service was fantastic, 4 of us had the Surf and Turf, so yummy and met tender. 2 had lamb kebabs also very delicious. Highly recommended

13/11/2024: Rooms are modern, well appointed and clean. The buffet breakfast was nice. Ample sized carpark. There is a nice breakout area with games and comfy sofas that only residents can access. It's a nice option if you want to get out of your room but don't want to hang around the foyer area .

03/11/2024: The carvery is fabulous here, great value for money and they are always so facilitating when we need an extra dish made for our child.

27/10/2024: Effortless From booking to the deserts a pleasure , the food was outstanding . Our servers nailed it and really know their food and wine . Excellent wine menu in a quality venue . One of my favourites and will continue to be .

02/11/2024: We stayed here in September for a few nights and had mixed emotions about this establishment. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated, but the outside door was under the room and constantly slammed shut. We visited when the weather was hot and all the windows of the room were open. All the smoke from the patio below came into our room. We also had to try to sleep with earplugs as the live music from the bar was very loud. I did not sleep well and I didn't eat much breakfast because I was tired. I found our waitress very matter of fact and not friendly. I can't say it is a restful place. Fine if you are at the bar all night.😏

01/11/2024: I’ve had the pleasure of organizing three different office parties at Deep South, each for around 180 people, and I can't speak highly enough about the staff. From security to floor staff, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and some team members truly went above and beyond. Rebecca, for instance, coordinated all the food and vouchers and prepared the venue to perfection for each event. Jess and Abbie also provided fantastic support during the parties, making sure every detail was covered. The pricing is excellent, and the food has consistently impressed our associates. We requested various options, including halal, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free, and the feedback has been outstanding across the board. I strongly recommend Deep South for events, and it’s definitely a top choice for our future gatherings.

Closed without any information and hasn’t reopened, tried using vouchers in their other establishments but they won’t accept them Con artists at the finest

20/09/2024: Vegetables sitting there all day. Nothing fresh. One of the worst meals I've eaten in a very long time. Very poor service.

10/07/2024: Paid 350 euros for christening party food, raw sausages, chicken gougons, frozen chips, rude sullen staff, a lot of our group got no food, when I complained, 2 small platters came out an hour later. Understaffed, no glasses collected from tables, told manager was on leave. Left contact details by phone and on line, no replies. Keep away from here, total rip off
