18/04/2025: Had a fantastic experience at The Thomas Moore Pub in Dublin! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food was delicious, and the pints were perfect. What really made our visit stand out was the excellent service from Fiona—she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area. Thanks again, Fiona!

21/04/2025: We had a lovely Mother's Day meal in the Silver Tankard, 7 of us including 3 mums 😀, very relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff, one of the waiting staff was Ruby and she was so polite and helpful, my sister in law is Vegan and they were very good in the Silver Tankard at accommodating her requests, I had a caesar salad to start, followed by a Massamam curry with Chicken & a delicious apple pie and cappuccino to finish, food was great, our group were well satisfied and the service and price was very good too, we will definitely return, even though it was very busy, we were well looked after, 👍 😀

05/05/2025: This cafe caters for everyone, so many vegan options and lovely coffee. The staff are very friendly and love to go here every once in a while - never a poor experience. Really cute cakes and pastries and nice atmosphere

06/06/2025: a bald inadequate German at the reception shouts all sorts of obscene language at the guests and points to the exit. I highly do not recommend this hotel, I WOULD PREFER TO STAY AT THE ASHFORD HOTEL

02/06/2025: Amazing 😍. Beautiful hotel you would not know you were in the middle of a town so quiet. Amazing staff 😀. Amazing food. Amazing service.my friends were having a blessing there and all the staff greeted them by name never never had an experience like that before. I would recommend this hotel to anyone ☺️. Thank you for making my friends feel so special 🥰.

07/06/2025: Had afternoon tea there twice was lovely and I’ve eaten there and done the tapas nite! Food was fab and the staff work really hard always lovely ! The weddings to be great aswell really run great !

05/06/2025: Decent hotel but let down by quality of beds and price. Mattress creaked when I turned over and pillows lifeless. No air conditioning and our room opened onto car park where wedding guests were smoking or waiting for taxis around midnight. Breakfast was average compared to other places I have stayed in Ireland over many years. At 600 euros for 2 nights we were paying double the rate of a 4 star on the outskirts of London.

26/05/2025: The worst nachos I’ve ever eaten in my life also 5€ water. Not cool

25/05/2025: We waited over 40 minutes for a burger and some chicken wings, and the place wasn’t busy at all. No idea what took so long but would not recommend. Staff were nice but it was pretty annoying to look at them all just standing around when you’re left three quarters of an hour waiting on what you thought would be a quick bite. The service rating isn’t a reflection on the floor staff, it’s just for the slow kitchen. Such a shame because it ruined what would otherwise have been an enjoyable experience.

12/06/2025: A great place to spend a wonderful evening, with great bands and a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. However, the volume can sometimes be very loud.

12/06/2025: Almost €10 for a pint is absolutely disgraceful. And it was a terrible pint, had to ask him to put a head on it.

24/05/2025: I've been coming over a year, and always have dinner at the restaurant many times or lunches. Service has really gone bad, not one cares about you, the wine list is just extremely over price. I've order a bottle of wine, it was bad, change for another bottle... could not drink more than one sip. I walked out pay full bill, speak with manager about it. She tell me she knows... and just walk away they don't care at all. Good luck, but you lost one good customer.

08/06/2025: Don't get food delivered takes 2 hours to deliver happened more than once. Food is gorgeous but better off eating in the pub.

21/05/2025: Had a lovely meal in Caffreys Bar, Oldcastle on Saturday evening. Lovely atmosphere in the bar, with a great "buzz". The restarunt was busy, but the staff were very on the ball and organised a table for me as soon as we arrived. I opted for the fish from their new menu which is only just brand new and updated. My friend went for the steak which she said was cooked just as she had asked for. As usual the food was excellent (have been here many times before). The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Really couldn't recommend this place enough, and as always - will definitely be back very soon!

20/05/2025: Very obnoxious and rude staff!!! I had been to caffreys numerous times through the years however I noticed some of the food began to taste different so went less, they very recently came out with a new menu which some may know was reviewed by a popular influencer known as Conor Ryan. Upon watching the review and seeing the new menu me and my sister decided we would definitely check it out soon, which we then did while a friend who used to eat at caffreys when he would be in town came down from Dublin. We were all so excited to check it out but as soon as we walked in there were atleast 5 (or more) staff members all up against the bar talking, they looked at us, snickered, whispered, and did not interact with us at all, I walked in first and tried finding a seat, we accidentally sat down for a second until realising the table was reserved, we were looking around and not a single member of staff offered to help nor pointed us to a seat. My friend ended up asking and one of the girls, without even acknowledging us properly, with an attitude just pointed to the other side of the restaurant while the others stood back and judged, at that moment it dawned on me what was happening, however my friend and sister had already noticed as soon as we came in so my friend announced that they were rude and we collectively left. Very disappointing that a local business that’s been open for years treated us so poorly when we were just trying to support their business definitely won’t be going again, better places open now in the town anyways!

18/05/2025: Had a delicious breakfast here last week! Very friendly hostess. Nice vintage decor. I don't suppose you'd share what black pudding you use? It was delicious.

28/05/2025: Our favorite place in town. The staff and local patrons were very friendly. Seemed like a locals pub, there were parties there a couple of nights. Highly recommend this place. The beer was good and there is a quieter section if the party gets a little loud. The wife had chicken pascal there and liked it so much she learned to cook it the day after we got home in the US. Awesome steaks too.

08/01/2025: One of the nicest pubs I've been to. Great history and atmosphere is always welcoming with a very good pint of Guinness. Worth traveling to if your in the Kerry area

15/02/2025: Had a few afternoon drinks and a few of us had lunch nice friendly staff even tough we were a bit loud at times with our laughing but will go back again in November when we are in the area again you have been warned in advance 🤣.

09/02/2025: Just been here staff nice although probably worst beef dinner by far i had ever had 🤮! Straight from microwave a tint over gravy beef and Yorkshire burnt to a crisp beef like a foot ball definitely rubbish for me🤢👎🏼
