31/08/2025: I had a very disappointing experience. The staff member at the till didn’t greet us when she walked over and said almost nothing while taking our order. I ordered the avocado toast, but the bread was so stale and hard it actually cut the inside of my mouth when I tried to eat it. When I told a staff member, he just said “ok” and walked away. A couple of minutes later, he returned and said the chef would get me new bread, but by that point I didn’t even want it anymore. I explained this to him, but he just walked away again. Overall, very poor service and food quality — not what I expected at all.

29/08/2025: This is lovely spot for a coffee or fir lunch/ brunch. There's good variety on the menu.

09/08/2025: We always have a great time at the Red Door. The food is always delicious and it is a lovely place to celebrate a special occassion as the grounds are beautiful, as is the interior. Food is always good. This time we just dropped in foe bar food. It was delicious. There was a good choice on the bar food menu and it was reasonably priced for the quality of the meal we had.

19/08/2025: Great pub , good food , well worth going to , we had 8 people last Saturday evening, no booking and they did their best to accommodate us for late food , would definitely recommend the loft .

08/08/2025: Popped in this morning for breakfast with my newborn in his pram. The waitress took me to the back, which was stuffy and filled with patrons, I expressed that I’m breastfeeding and don’t feel comfortable feeding my baby while literally sitting 30cm away from a stranger and said I’d like to sit in the front section which was empty apart from one occupied table. I sat down, 10 mins later I was asked to move to the back again by another waitress. I repeated my concerns but she insisted I move because the pram was too close to the empty 2 seater table next to me. I told her I’d rather leave, which I did.

27/07/2025: Allegedly, they have the original KFC seasoning recipe....but I don't know, but it's really tasty. Go in there after a boat-load of pints. You won't be disappointed.

14/08/2025: Very well-located hotel close to everything in the city center. We had a room with a double bed, as my father was traveling with us. I emailed a request to change the room, and it was granted without hesitation. XD A little disappointed that the receptionist isn't always available, but a number is available to contact them.

10/08/2025: Gone downhill massively. Used to be the in place on a Friday and Saturday night, always busy, not cheap for food but was normal good service. We made a booking for two for dinner at 9:15pm on a Friday, when we arrived there was no floor staff to welcome or ask about our booking or anything, we walk to the back of the building where we normally eat and had booked, there was a function on and nobody in the front bar which is usually busy, maybe two or three customers, atmosphere was dead I went to the barman and asked him what the story is regarding our booking for dinner and he never came back to me, he then sent someone else over to me who said follow me so we started to follow him. He ran on ahead and started serving another table of three then walked out through another door and around the bar back to where he lost us, we said this is useless and we need to see a manager. Then manager came over and said he was busy in the hotel and we have no booking but we can sit inside and have dinner, with not atmosphere at all this was not an option to pay high prices for food and drink and sit in a large bar on our own. We used to go here a lot for birthday party’s , Christmas party’s, staff party’s good nights out, but we won’t be back again as there’s no atmosphere in the place anymore customer wise or staff wise.

03/08/2025: We always eat in Wild when we come to Tralee. Best breakfast in town by a country mile and quick & very friendly service.

23/06/2025: Incredible place. But a stifling hot room - with heating on and, madder still, fires lit at midsummer - meant that we couldn’t sleep and ended up walking around the grounds until 2am (which was magical). Coupled with disorganisation and poor communication with and between the staff meant for a chaotic stay. At this price it should be perfect. I offered the opportunity to discuss privately with a manager, but they never called back.

06/07/2025: We have eaten here many times and have never had a bad experience. This time was no different. Had the lobster special and it was delicious. It gets booked up frequently, so it is better book a table to be safe to get to experience Allo's specials.

06/06/2025: What a find! Such a warm welcome and delicious food. Joan made room for us on a busy evening. It was a set menu for €35 but we had no trouble in choosing our options.

19/05/2025: We loved this hotel. It's in a great location. There was plenty of on site, free parking, when we arrived. They offered us a very early check-in but we didn't need it as we departed for the Ring of Kerry in the mid-morning of our check-in date. The receptionist was wonderful giving us tips for our drive around the Ring and holding our bags and then having our bags in our rooms when we arrived later than evening. The bar was wonderful as was the breakfast. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. They have a laundry service which came in handy halfway through our 9 day trip in Ireland. I'd stay here again for sure.

26/03/2025: Around 25 years ago my friends called me Gino... So, I had to try this restaurant🙂 I came in and I was truly surprised... The place is WOW - nice and clean, pleasant, spacious and tempting to try something new. Varied menu with a good few pearls in it - e.g. fried chicken with secret crumbs on it! and mixed kebab tray - just made my evening. Staff behind the counter ware extremely welcome, happy and willing to help with my order. It is next level of sit-in or takeaway. Thank you Gino's Diner. Great job👍🏼

29/07/2025: Liked our stay at this hotel for sure. Family room so spacious (biggest we have stayed in) with access to a little lawn outside and chairs. Staff very friendly. Big snooker table there and very clean. Central location Food in restaurant was fine. For a hotel it was ok. Would have liked a nicer vegetarian option. They did a pasta dish on request which was nice of them. My husband got Chicken supreme and it was like a nice. Would stay here again.

01/08/2025: Myself and my partner went for a drink in the hotel bar recently, thinking it would be a nice place as it is an impressive building and has four star rating. The bar and restaurant staff do not match that rating, so we left after one drink. Now I realise why there was very few in there after nine on a Friday night.
