31/05/2025: Excellent cocktails in the bar! A young lady mixed our cocktails under the guidance of her experienced colleague (whether he could have done it as well remains a mystery ;)). Top quality! Served with typical Irish charm and hospitality!

28/05/2025: Lovely spot in Kilkee A cozy place to eat in Kilkee — we only tried the restaurant, not the hotel. The atmosphere was warm and the staff very attentive and friendly. The menu is a bit limited, but everything we had was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Prices are average, and if you’re lucky, you can get a table with a view of the bay — stunning at sunset!

18/05/2025: Great place to eat local food. Good Service. We were 11 people celebrating my girl's First Communion, and the service was wonderful. They gave her a nice card with a present. I will always recommend this place. The food was delicious and in big portions. Happy with everything.

05/05/2025: Great service. Great food. Prawns pil pil in particular were divine as was the calamari. Fast super service. Pleasant and friendly.

09/05/2025: Very good overall. Good music in one room but very loud. We sat inside front door away from the music so easier to hear. Friendly staff.

15/05/2025: We chose Ma Bakers for a 40th birthday party for my son in law and what a wonderful day/night it was, the entire staff were so friendly, everyone had a ball, I would definitely recommend a visit to Ma Bakers Carlingford.

19/04/2025: The food was excellent staff amazing great atmosphere. I had pear blue cheese salad for starter and my wife had prawns both dishes excellent. We both had fish of the day just super and to finish we shared biscoff cheesecake try it it was just bloody fabulous

13/04/2025: This is a gem of a restaurant in Castletownbeare. The best fish pie I have ever had! And the prawn starter was delicious. Food and service was excellent. Great value for money. Highly recommend.

18/05/2025: My partner and I had dinner here over the weekend during our stay at the hotel for my 50th birthday celebrations. We were shown to our table which was comfortable with plenty space. The restaurant appeared absolutely spotless, welcoming and cosy. Immediately we were asked if would like too order drinks, which we did, these were brought to the table soon after ordering whilst we looked at the food menu. The food choices we made were absolutely outstanding, I can’t praise the standard of the food enough. We stayed on after dinner for more drinks and for the entertainment which was excellent as well. The atmosphere was really nice and friendly. The staff, when we ordered more drinks brought them too our table which was helpful for me personally as I am on crutches! My partner had the Guinness which he said was amazing and I had a few Strawberry Daiquiri’s which were the best I have ever had! The young girl’s serving did not stop the full night! They were friendly, efficient, professional and very competent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant too other’s and I would definitely return some time in the future. (Sorry I forgot to take a picture of our main meals which were absolutely delicious)!

05/05/2025: The hotel itself is lovely,ALL the staff were very very nice,room was spotless and comfortable....but the bedding needs to reflect the season and climate outside..we had a very hot heavy winter duvet,plus the pillow protectors were of a towelling material.we ate in the restaurant,the food and service were excellent,the background rave music was not,really not suitable for someone that cannot deal with alot of noise. Breakfast..most of the staff were very attentive,the selection was good but the 'hot' food choice was not hot...probably would come back again but have Breakfast out.

24/04/2025: Perhaps we should have sticked to the cakes which looked delicious, but it was lunch so we had soup which was a joke. It was meant to be vegetable. It was very watery and tasted like stock cubes. The wrap and sandwich were ok but too expensive.

04/04/2025: Now here is a pub full of the Irish Craic. Fantastic bar staff full of laughing and joking. You are definitely made to feel welcome. The food well bring your appetite as it’s good wholesome and plentiful. So if you’re in near or just passing by make time for this place you will not be disappointed.

24/05/2025: had a lovely stay in the townhouse 🏠 which is located right next to the water! the dinner was fabulous - for mains, we ordered the ribeye steak (& mash) and grilled seafood which was delicious, and the chocolate mousse was amazing too! the service was great, the staff were very professional and welcoming.

18/05/2025: Excellent service at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. All ingredients were really fresh and high quality. The slow cooked beef was delicious. Location is central and convenient for shops etc. We were lucky to get a car parking space for free in small car park opposite the restaurant. Accommodation in the townhouse is only 2 mins walk away. Compact and spotlessly clean. Perfect for a short stay. Would highly recommend for a special treat.
