11/08/2026: We had an amazing meal at Chapter Twenty. It came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. I highly recommend a visit.

19/07/2026: Well located bar, but very uncomfortable experience. Using the bathroom some males grabbed and held a girl, while a staff member sat on their phone. Once going into the male bathroom they taunted me and I felt incredibly uncomfortable. Why have staff situated near the bathrooms if they won't stop poor behavior.

05/07/2026: Passed by the bar and had a couple of pints. Very good atmosphere and music. People at the taps can be a bit rude. Location is very great and easy to get to, but it comes with the cost of expensive beer. Did not see the hotel.

25/01/2026: Amazing food, flawless service, beautiful restaurant. Left feeling perfectly looked after, pleasantly full and purely content. Had the scallop, venison special and apple tarte tatin. My husband had the special creme brûlée which he adored. Special shout to Niamh who was such a wonderful person and provided us with amazing service. Will 100% be back! Absolutely gem of a restaurant

22/08/2026: This place is a cute little spot for lunch, small but enough tables. The chicken pesto sandwich and chicken and bacon Cesar were delicious. The chips were actual chips/crisps and not fries and had a great flavor. The waitress was very sweet. I would definitely make this a stop!

21/06/2026: Lovely café with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the service was fast and efficient. Everything was great, and I really enjoyed my visit. Highly recommended!

21/05/2026: Hotel is large with multiple restuarants and meeting spaces. Great for tour groups. Great location and nice staff. Decor feels tired and worn. We had a spacious standard room but if felt old.

14/09/2026: Positives - nice decor, really friendly staff, super quick service Negatives - menu descriptions of the food, but I may just have chosen badly as the chicken schnitzel which came out on another table looked amazing, and was as described on the menu. I opted for the slow braised beef and Guinness stew, which from the menu looked like it was served with roasted root veg, champ, and a red wine jus. I asked for the jus separate as seemed an odd thing to have in addition to a Guinness stew but was told it was already in the stew. As it turns out, the roasted root veg actually referred to the carrot and celery also already in the stew. The stew itself was very tomato based, which just wasn’t what I had expected - not terrible at all, but also not a traditional Guinness stew. The champ was amazing however!

20/08/2026: This was a lovely, cute, and felt like family run cafe. Coffee was good - and strong. The toasted sandwich was lovely.

07/09/2026: We talk about this place all the time! What a hidden gem! We can not wait to go back and stop in for a cold cold pint and some delicious food! Loved the atmosphere and staff was amazing!!!

Blonde barman cut me off despite me getting served 30 mins earlier 1 drink deep🤣 lad just doing his job but when your genuinely not drunk its annoying seeing someone being carried around and he got served a cocktail. ah well went riot and got served but end of day man just doing his job. Even bouncer on way out said he thought I was fine 🤷‍♂️ sure look just wants to keep everyone safe in the bar cant fault that

27/06/2026: This restaurant definitely the best in Carlingford, and great value for imaginative, fresh, perfectly executed food. Crab creme brûlée was a delight, the oysters deliciously fresh and seafood seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend this friendly, unpretentious place that serves food to be proud of!

24/10/2025: I was only in the restaurant for a coffee. The atmosphere is very pleasant, beautifully decorated, and cozy. Good service.

07/10/2025: A lovely cafe on the banks of the Barrow. We sat out and had coffee and scones, watching the world go by on the river. Nicest scones we’ve had for a long time. Friendly staff too.

26/08/2026: Just got completely ignored at the drive through! Waited a few minutes at the speaker and no one came so drove around to see if they were opened and staff looked at us and just stood around chatting won’t be going back customer service if awful!
