31/07/2026: Very traditional pub from 1917- friendly barman. Had soup when food opened at 3pm. Very tasty vegetable broth for 7 euro but it only came with half a slice of wheaten. It’s only a small point but takes away from the beautiful soup. Full slice and you’d feel less hard done by

27/10/2025: Unpleasant experience. We waited at the bar for around 20 minutes without being acknowledged. Despite approaching staff several times to ask about getting a table, we continued to be ignored. Unfortunately, we decided to leave.

06/06/2026: This place is fine dining disguised as casual. Loose and laid back, Victor returned my call and fit us into a busy night with incredible service. The small plates were tasty and not heavy. This is a perfect stop between a day of touring heading back into Cork.

06/06/2026: They were able to fit us in at the last minute on a busy Saturday night. We were absolutely blown away by the creativity of the menu and the food was outstanding. Our server, Victor, was friendly, helpful, and made our meal one of the most memorable we had in Ireland.

02/08/2026: Worst pasty and not great sausage roll. Pasty was mostly air and had a blended liquid beef (although you could not tel it was beef) and tiny bits of carrot. No taste. Even when I put pepper in it. Tastless. €5.50. I complained to staff. I was told "oh sorry". If you have ever had a real Cornish pasty? Do NOT get a pastie here !! I also had the sausage roll. It was just ok. I would not use this place again. The salad did look good. If I had wanted anything with my pasty like a salad then I would have to pay more. The quiche did look nice. But my pasty looked nice too. My wife does like the sandwiches but stay clear of the tasteless waste of money pasty. Even the pastry seemed chewy.

21/08/2026: The staff is incredibly nice and knows about dietary restrictions like gluten, they have many gluten free options although they said that there is a risk of cross contamination. It is moderately expensive but the serving sizes are abundant.

23/08/2026: I’m not happy with the food it was cold and I got chicken breast sandwich meal and my burger was made with 2 bottoms of bread and there was no sauce in it either it was disgusting I did not like it

03/05/2026: Myself and my Husband got married at the Red Door on the 9th of April. We booked the venue from the morning to get ready and truly from start to finish our wedding day was made amazing by all the staff at The Red Door. The location is amazing and provides so many photo opportunities throughout the day. We had our ceremony In the Red door and it was so beautifully set up without needing any extra suppliers. One thing we thought was such a special touch was after our ceremony, Frances and Lauren met us both with a bottle of champagne to celebrate. All of our guests commented on the relaxed atmosphere, the food and the lovely welcoming, kind staff. The food at the drinks reception was outstanding. It continued to flow and guests were never left hungry. All of our guests said the dinner was the best dinner they have had at a wedding and that speaks for itself. The whole process from booking, planning and during the wedding was made feel seamless. We truly had the best day of our lives and that was all made possible by chosing the red door as our wedding venue. We highly recommend this venue to all wanting a small Irish wedding with a cosy, relaxed feel to it. Thank you all again so much 🥰
