28/05/2024: Loved everything about this place on our final night in Dublin. The early evening menu is decent value and they have vegetarian dishes that are of a very high standard. My wife and I enjoyed all 3 courses and the creme brulee was the perfect end to the evening. If and when we return to Dublin, this works be top of my list of places to return to. Lovely pint of Guinness too.

21/08/2025: Prawn cocktail and garlic bread like something you would have made at home. Presentation is seriously lacking. Service wait times were very bad.

15/08/2025: Fantastic place, food is very good value for money and the portions are very good, even for kids. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Couldn't fault anything, will definitely be coming back when passing through again!

08/06/2025: Brilliant place to stop and eat. I can't go home to Ireland without getting Supermac's. Very busy place and is a one stop shop for lots of essentials. Staff are courteous, helpful, and friendly. Cleanliness is good. Parking can be difficult at times.

16/08/2025: Exquisite dining experience. Enjoyed the tasting menu with accompanying wines selected by the sommelier. Beautiful dining room in the Manor House. Food was amazing and enjoyed speaking to the Head Chef who visited our table to discuss the food and his preparation of the dishes.

29/07/2025: Lady Helen – An Overwrought Experience in a Stodgy Setting Visited: July 26, 2025 | Tasting Menu Dinner | Birthday Trip Lady Helen may be a Michelin-starred restaurant, but for us, it missed the mark — especially in pacing, atmosphere, and guest experience. 🍽️ Food & Pacing The menu leans heavily into conceptual creativity, which we usually enjoy, but here it overshadowed the dining experience. The Parmesan tomato was a highlight, but overall, flavors were good—not exceptional. The real issue was timing. Despite the first few courses being single bites, the meal dragged on for over 3.5 hours, with 15–30 minutes between dishes. By the time we reached the mains, we were fatigued and just ready to leave. It felt like a test of endurance, not a celebration of food. 🥤 Non-Alcoholic Options We don’t drink alcohol, and Lady Helen is not set up for guests like us. There were no mocktails or tea offered, and the non-alcoholic wine was cloyingly sweet. My husband asked for a 0.0% beer, which wasn’t on the menu but was eventually provided. Once our sparkling water ran out (two bottles), our glasses were cleared without any offer of tap water — which oddly is offered at breakfast in the same room. Other tables were served coffee and tea at the end of their meal; we were skipped entirely. 🪑 Atmosphere & Service The room’s layout is disorienting. All guests face inward toward a cluster of center tables, creating an odd “spotlight” effect on whoever is seated there (we were). No background music means the space gets louder as drinks flow — not ideal for a fine dining setting. Staff were kind but seemed undertrained and inconsistent. Despite the 15-minute staggered seating model, pacing was all over the place. Guests seated after us were served ahead of us and left nearly an hour earlier. For a venue at this level, service should feel seamless — it did not. 💡 Final Thoughts We wouldn’t return or recommend it. While pricing is lower than other Michelin-starred restaurants, the value matches. If you’re willing to dedicate 4 hours to a drawn-out meal in a formal, oddly laid-out space with little ambiance, it may still be worth a try. But we left disappointed, uncomfortable, and counting down the courses.

09/07/2025: Started off great, our food was really good, our waitress was great to start with but must have been busy or distracted. We asked for wine and had to remind her, same for coffees at the end. A minor complaint, the ambience and pleasantness of the place and staff was excellent.

Hemos cenado en algunos de los mejores restaurantes de todo el mundo y esto se encuentra en uno de los mejores lugares. El ambiente y la vista son impresionantes. La sopa de calabacines y puerros fue deliciosa y me calentó el alma. El muelle era exquisito. La cena de pollo se hizo perfectamente. Tenía la pera - mousseline mille feuille con crema inglesa de postre... .. excepcional! Las selecciones de vino fueron igualmente fantástico. Recomendaría encarecidamente este restaurante para una experiencia gastronómica elegante pero relajada mientras está en Cork.

16/07/2025: A solid five star review for Dinty's. The T-Bone steak is a must to order, absolutely deliciously cooked steak with a great portion of chips, possibly the best steak in Ireland without exaggeration. The waiters are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere of the pub is very warming, a nice authentic style pub with creative decor. There are plenty of food options, and the food is moderately priced. I would definitely come back to Dinty's when I get the chance, truly worth a try.

09/08/2025: Stunning views from the roof right across the water. The roof covering is definitely a must and keeps you well sheltered from the winds.

07/08/2025: Our first time here and our last! We waited well over an hour for our food to come, I get it they get busy, but other costumers were coming in after we had put our order in and were served and finished their meal as we were still waiting for ours! I order salmon, which was the featured dish of the day, it was raw in the middle! Our server was not pleasant at all! Will not be returning here!
