27/11/2025: Amy and her team are fantastic, whether you ring in your order and collect or order at the counter you get serviced quickly and don't have to wait more than 10mins even when it busy, and it can be busy because of it's popularity. Outstanding Chicken and the chips if you like crispy delicious lard cook chips these are amazing (hate those cheap oily soggy chips in some places) definitely one of my favourite takeaways.

28/11/2025: Has obviously changed with new owners but not for the better. Restaurant size is reduced for the inclusion of a bakers shop. Walls are now bare. The menu and choice has somewhat shrunk. Sorry not changed for the better. Left feeling disappointed that the must have breakfast in Donegal town is no more. NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

09/10/2025: Great food and atmosphere at Dock 84! 🍴☕️ We stopped into Dock 84 while in Donegal Town and had a really enjoyable experience. The place has a relaxed, modern vibe with plenty of space to sit back and enjoy a meal. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. 😊 I ordered the grilled chicken burger 🍔🐔 and it was excellent — the chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked, with fresh toppings and a soft bun that held everything together nicely. It was filling without being too heavy, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. My wife went for the waffle with a spread of Nutella 🧇🍫 and it was a real treat. The waffle was light and fluffy with just the right crisp on the outside, and the Nutella made it indulgent without being over the top. A perfect sweet option to balance out my savory choice. The second time we went we had egg shakshuka and Tikka wrap which was good again as usual One of the highlights here is that Dock 84 has its own bakery products 🥐🍞, and they are absolute delights — fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. It’s a lovely bonus alongside the main menu. Do note that there’s usually a wait time of around 15 minutes ⏳ throughout the day, but honestly, the food and atmosphere make it worth it. For convenience, there’s a car park directly in front of the café 🚗, though it is a paid one 💳, so keep that in mind if you’re driving in. Service was quick once seated, prices were fair 💶, and the location is ideal if you’re exploring Donegal Town 🏞️. Whether you’re after a hearty bite or something sweet, Dock 84 is a spot worth visiting. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town! 🙌

01/01/2026: The food was delicious, the portions were huge and the service simply fantastic. The host and waitress were amazing and contributed to a wonderful pub experience, the best in years for me. If you are in Nenagh, I highly recommend stopping by for some food and/or a drink. Loved it.

05/12/2025: Tables where filthy and the place cold. Prices are also ridiculously expensive for basic fried pub food. Bartender came to our table, saw the dirt, grease and dried ketchup on our table, then walked away. We got up and left. What an overpriced dump!

27/01/2026: The atmosphere is very peaceful and beautiful. It’s a cocktail bar with dozens of options. They used to serve food but they do not anymore. We were surprised upon arrival since we could see the menu through our reservation. We understood the situation and the staff were very lovely. The drinks were delicious.

22/01/2026: Incredibly fun cocktail experience. You need to get upstairs for the bespoke cocktails, the main level is also nice but standard drinks (with a cozy vibe). No food served other than complimentary (and delicious) popcorn.

02/03/2026: Me and friend went for afternoon tea and we made the booking, we add the note saying that we are both pescatarians. On the day, we arrive and instead of The Addison Room, we got moved to the Ruby room. This is their cocktail room, quite dark and just not the atmosphere for afternoon tea. The staff checked our dietary requirements and once again we mentioned that we are pescatarians. After a wait of 30-40minutes the staff brought the sandwiches and all had meat. Of course, we sent them back and asked for them to check our order. The staff was very apologetic but after a long wait it was disappointing. Eventually we got the veggies options and these continued to disappoint - all sandwiches were just tomato and leafs. No egg or tuna, literally just tomatoes and leafs which does not justify the price of €55pp. I do need to mention that the staff was very nice throughout the whole situation - they offered a glass of prosecco on the house. However the veggie options need to be improved.
