29/10/2025: Comfortable hotel bar, great service from the bar staff. Not too busy when we were there.

05/10/2025: The restaurant's location is excellent, and the meal vouchers from our hotel were a great start. The food itself was fantastic, which made our experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, the service was atrocious. We were not attended to at any stage during our meal, and no one checked if we wanted more drinks. We also had long waits for our food and had to flag down staff just to get the bill. It was disappointing to see what looked like a lack of training or management, as staff seemed to stand around talking to each other instead of helping customers. The poor service completely overshadowed what should have been a wonderful meal.

15/10/2025: Weren't advised that the course was only playing 13 holes until arrival. Man behind counter fairly content that a tenner off was more appropriate than calling non members in advance to advise of course shortcomings. Long journey wasn't wasted as we played Bunclody which is a better course.

06/08/2025: Course was OK very soft to walk around in places ,but great day out ,and the rain stayed away for the 22 players in my group.

04/12/2025: Like germaines, food is always good, I would love to go in more but I can't stand the loud music blaring, theirs no need for it to be that loud, no one minds a bit of back ground music but it's ridiculous, you can't even chat to anyone at your table with the noise, was meeting up with 6 friends for food and a catch up a few weeks ago, we walked out and had to go across the road to horans and had a lovely meal and evening laughing and chatting

14/11/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding! I had an incredible experience at this restaurant. The food was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared — every dish felt crafted with real passion. The service was warm and attentive from start to finish, and the atmosphere made the whole visit even more enjoyable. I genuinely loved everything about this place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a memorable dining experience. I will definitely be coming back!

13/07/2025: Esta fue nuestra primera experiencia cenando en The Horseshoe después de muchos años de simplemente "tomar bebidas" en este popular pub de Kenmare. En busca de mejillones con salsa picante los encontramos en Horseshoe. Una salsa de chile y chorizo que estaba perfecta. Los mejillones estaban cocinados en su punto justo, de modo que todos menos uno se abrieron, pero permanecieron regordetes y sabrosos en la salsa picante que estaba distribuida uniformemente sobre ellos. He probado porciones más grandes de mejillones en otros pubs, pero rara vez una salsa picante con mucho cuerpo que te pidiera que comieras la salsa que quedaba como sopa después de haber comido todos los mariscos. Nuestro mayor cumplido siempre es: "Volveremos".

10/06/2025: Gran lugar. Parece un restaurante una vez que estás en la puerta, no dejes que esto te desanime. Muy agradable. Gran stout. Muy agradable, personal amable. Comí unas pintas antes y luego volví para la cena, que estaba delicioso.

30/11/2025: Lovely pub nice and cosy. Had the lamb burger which was ok but the chips were honestly the worst I’ve ever had. They seemed frozen and from a very bad quality potato.

23/11/2025: Such a positive experience here today, food is top notch, arriving fast and waitresses were attentive, polite and lovely. The Christmas decorations are definitely NOT over the top ... loved this experience, thankyou 👍🙂

28/09/2025: Very good restaurant, fast service, one problem however: the aperitif is served at the same time as the starter, but this does not change the quality of the food.

27/09/2025: This place is surprisingly unstable. We visit occasionally, and are usually satisfied. Yesterday we were thinking about visiting during the oyster festival, but the prices are high. We get them delivered to our home, and with delivery, they're a third cheaper. A full dose is 18-24 euros straight from the farms. Nearby, at the Japanese restaurant, they were offering a gift tasting. Free. What a treat! Overall, maybe, but not great.

17/12/2025: The atmosphere of the place was amazing. It is located in the middle of nowhere (which made it a nice experience of us) and the inside is cozy and well decorated. Great food and service, no complains about it!

23/10/2025: Nothing less than we expected from this charming rural pub on our peninsula visit. Great fresh fish and chicken, good local beers, and a cosy welcoming interior. The chowder was a touch on the salty side with a thicker texture, but still lovely if that’s how you like it. A lovely spot to warm up and enjoy some proper comfort food.

22/11/2025: Very overpriced, only got a coffee.

02/10/2025: Eggs royale were tasty. The interior was dim and busy, each table was taken on a Saturday morning at around 10:30am. Staff were friendly. Lots of free on-street parking. Menu was decent too.
