07/08/2026: Went here last Sunday..Big family gathering all drinking and eating..when we arrived it was such a big deal for the girl outside. We felt a total inconvenience, and as the the male manager inside he definitely needs to go on some customer relations course. Although on a beautiful sunny day it is fabulous outside for a drink but we will definitely reconsider finding somewhere else..perhaps The Magestic Hotel.😪

14/06/2026: My partner and I called here for Sunday lunch today. I can honestly say it was the worst food we ever had. We sent back the fish as it was a mass of lumpy gunk and swapped for featherblade beef and this was even worse. The mash was in fact instant smash and mixed frozen veg. I ordered the Seafood Chowder which was what I can only describe as a bowl of vomit. Everything was from a packet. Our bottle of Pinot was a cheap bottle from the petrol station. The manager offered us dessert by way of compensation after we paid for our meal, which we obviously declined. So dissapointing...don't waste yoir precious leisure time or hard earned money.

04/04/2026: It was everything we could have asked for. The breakfast was delicious and the the fireplace was my favorite part. Love this place.

12/08/2026: Previous visits to this public have been disappointing due to the loud volumn of the background music. This visit proved much more comfortable... Perhaps it because it was mid week. Anyway great pints great service this time around so will be back

23/08/2026: Would love to properly review this place, however we were refused to be seated even though there were seats available (must have ghosts sitting there) because the “kitchen was too backed up”, best they could offer was to comeback in 10 minutes (maybe the ghosts said they would be finished by then) and we potentially might get seated, not even coffees offered…….

20/08/2026: I had a very poor experience at this pub. Myself and my friend attempted to get a beer at this pub and was greeted by a very rude manager who said that we were not allowed to come in because we looked young ( we are 18) we then went up to the bar and told him that we were and showed ID while he was looking at the ids he said that because we were talking to him he wasn’t going to serve us and to get out I would advise going to this pub if u want to be made fun of and treated like scum if not go anywhere else there are 50 pubs in dun laoighre they and they might be the worst

20/08/2026: Attempted to go into two foxes when I was met at the door by a manager who told me that I wasn’t getting in due to a few underage teenagers who had come from a nearby pub were too drunk and causing a disturbance. He immediately grouped me and a friend with them as we are young looking, but was unbelievably rude to us throughout the whole experience. I then went up to the bar where I provided ID showing that I was of age and I explained that I had no idea who the teenagers where and the manager told me that I was “chatting way too much” being very rude and then told me to leave. If you want to be treated like a scumbag by the management in a pub, I suggest you come here! If you don’t, go to anywhere else.
