The Pikeman Bar

22/07/2024: Locals to Tralee myself and my husband came in for dinner. Service was very speedy and the food was delicious. My only criticism is that mashed potatoes should be served with roast beef. I was given a baked potato. It was still very tasty. Will definitely return
08/07/2024: First visit . Great menu. We were 5 adults and 3 kids. There was something for everyone . All food was perfectly cooked. Waiter very attentive. Unusually not very chatty for a Kerryman. But all was good. Good value considering the quality.

cooked medium well not medium rare as requested, to be fair it was replaced and served as requested
They did deduct a reasonable amount off the bill which I appreciated .
Hopefully if we visit again it will be better

How silly to price themselves out of the market for regular clients.
12/04/2025: Staff were lovely polite .Just a few hints don't book breakfast after 945 they will be starting to clear and not much left..Try to get a.room away from the front of the hotel it's very noisy when people are out smoking or leaving the hotel at night.Rooms get very warm and you have yo open the windows so you wl hear all going on..But they will provide a fan if you request it..Over all it's lovely and staff are welcoming. Pool area is perfect.Make sure to bring a swimming hat!

24/03/2025: Really beautiful area only a short drive from letterkenny town centre.
The grounds are beautiful to the house which you need to book
The resteraunt was lovely for lunch then dinner that night ,with great attentivestsff and fresh food. I had the ribeye and it was the best steak i have had in a long time.
They were very good at making your cocktail to suit if you did not want it too over powering.
Great little circular booths for children and lots of home made cookies.
24/02/2025: Had a beautiful meal at the church, my friend is a vegetarian and really enjoyed the food, the staff were fantastic couldn't do enough.
The only complaint was the large imposing TV screens that dominate the walls. My friend found it quite distracting. The restaurant is warm and cosy with a beautiful fire. Just a shame about the screens if you happen to be seated in the line of vision.

08/04/2025: We just walked in, didn't realise it was such a busy place but staff were excellent in catering for 4 of us. No real waiting for either menus or food which was absolutely delicious. Staff were so friendly and polite, wonderful selection of foods available. I'd gladly return again but I would ring ahead first.
